He stayed in the water too long and eventually dragged himself out, and with a cursory rub with a towel, threw himself into his bed. It was fresh and clean, but it didn’t smell of Charlie. When he thought of what he might do on the morrow, he was faced with a choice of the club, horse racing, Gentleman Jacksons, or the club. He missed Coulson and Blackstone already. Missed the garden. Missed…He sighed and snuffed out the candle. He refused to be maudlin. He absolutely refused.

Sebastian was still in the morning room when his brother returned. He was reasonably rested and the worst of the effects of the alcohol had worn off, so he was able to greet him warmly.
