Chapter 48

I felt powerless as one of them lifted my paralyzed body off the ground. Honestly, I wished I had been knocked out, being mentally aware was sickening. My heart fluttered for a moment remembering the number of people that were here, surely one of them would see this and do something? I couldn’t believe that the human world would allow this! Although, what did I even know about this world? I barely knew anything about my own world.

“She’s heavier than she looks” Monty gasped as he flung me across his shoulder, I heard Simon chuckle dryly.

“As she should be, she’s grown so much…” His tone almost seemed pained. “The last time I saw her, she was so small… so innocent…” He sighed deeply.

“I wish… I wish things were different.” He finished softly before both of them fell silent.
