Chapter 23
I stood in front of the door with Domini on my right and Dimitri on my left stealing a calming breath trying to soothe my beating heart. I wasn’t sure anymore if I could handle seeing the Luna Ashly, laying still and unmoving on a hospital bed. Flashes of her bleeding throat echoed in my mind, the wolves attacking her and me just standing there.
“You don’t have to go in Laura” Domini spoke at the same time as Dimitri “you don’t have to go in Luna.”
I glanced at both of them surprised at how concerned their tones were. I smiled reassuringly before holding the door handle.
“I have to do this,” I said more to myself before opening the door.
