An opprotunity of Destruction

(It is currently 6:30 and Case Tanaka is woken out of his sleep from a nightmare, a weird scenario almost similar to the.. incident.)

Case Tanaka: GAHHH... (Case shoots up out of bed with fear on his face, panting) "What was that dream, God it felt so real, mom's right sighhh that's enough stem tech research for a while now"

Emiko Tanaka: (Emiko rushes up the stairs after hearing the loud outburst) Son are you okay?

I heard you scream is everything alright?.

Case Tanaka: Yeah mom. Everything is fine, I just had a bad dream that's all. (she finds out I'm having dreams about this stem tech shit she's gonna be super worried.) Don't worry though mom it's nothing really, I've got to head to school we're having a field trip today. (which I forgot about... Dammit we're going to Stem tech, this will be the chance I can pull something off maybe sneak and try to gather some files on my dad's name.)

Emiko Tanaka: ohhhh a field trip? (she exclaims)

Case Tanaka: Yeah and you wouldn't believe where we're going (Case said in an unamused tone) the actual stem tech building mom.

Emiko Tanaka: Oh. Honey that's not an issue for you is it? (Says mother in a worried tone). Can you even handle being around that place?.

Case Tanaka: To be honest mom I don't even know. I thought long and hard about this when Yon told me about it.

Emiko Tanaka: ohhhh sweetie don't worry I know you can handle this, but. Just try not to think about your father you know? Don't let it bog you down on the trip if anything take this time to see those cool augments you kids always talk about.

Case Tanaka: "she doesn't even know that I'm planning on snooping around and I gotta keep it that way" oh yeah, right it's nothing mom I'm not gonna think about dad I promise.

Emiko: yeah at least just do it for me. now I have to head off to work so when you leave out For school make sure you lock up okay?.

Case: alright mom.

Emiko: okay son and I love you don't forget what I said alright? (Emiko heads downstairs to grab her bags and leaves for work).

(it's 7:00 am and Case starts getting ready to head to school)

Case: "Damn I have a killer headache what the?!. moms gotta have some medicine around here somewhere." (Case rummages around for some medicine) Ah Dammit, forget it. I'd better get going before I'm late. And I can't have that happen on a day like this. (Case does his morning routine and puts his uniform on to head out of the door.)

(it's 7:30 and case has finally made his way to Mirai high. As he walks up he sees busses jam-packed from the pickup zone to the parking lot exit. Given that there are almost One thousand Students that attend mirai high this trip is bound to be hectic.)

Case: " I should meet up with Yon and the class so I can see what bus we'll be riding"

Yon Sakai: YOOOO CASE OVER HERE (Yon shouts jumping up and down in a crowd of students)

Case: Yon what the hell is going on?

Yon: I believe we are witnessing the process of a field trip (He says in a sarcastic tone)

Case: haha very funny I mean why are these people acting like Park apes aren't we supposed to be the "most sophisticated high school in Kyoto"

You: Hey man don't ask me I'm just as lost as you, usually, we have composure but I think it's the thought of seeing the augments that have these kids so riled up.

Case: man "sigh" you find out what bus we're on yet?.

Yon: yup were bus 4A and we're riding with that new girl too there goes your shot, my man "hahaha".

Case: dude no, I'm not "shooting my shot" with Eve she's way out of my league, and especially after what happened yesterday I'm sure I don't stand the slightest chance.

Yon: Man you've got to have more confidence. but anyway the chairman is about to get up on his podium and give us a lecture about his expectations (Yon says mockingly).

(Chairman Han Kagawa gets on his podium and readys his rules for the students)

Mr.Kagawa: ahem. STUDENTS OF MIRAI HIGH SCHOOL

WHEN WE ARE CALLED UPON IT IS BECAUSE OF OUR REQUITABLE FORMS OF RECORD, SMARTS, SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE. WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE INVITED TO STEM TECH INDUSTRIES AND IT WOULD BE IN OUR BEST INTEREST TO SHOW THE COMPANY WHY WE ARE THE SCHOOL OF THE FUTURE AND THE STUDENTS OF THE WORLD!. I ASK THAT ALL OF YOU WILL BE ON YOUR BEST BEHAVIOR AND GIVE THE TOUR GUIDES YOUR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION. ARE MY WISHES CLEAR?.

(in a harmonious congregation the students exclaim,

YES SIR)

Mr. Kagawa: AH VERY WELL THEN. ALL OF YOU BOARD YOUR BUSSES.

Case: wow I see the chairman is another stem tech kiss ass.....(Case says annoyed)

Yon: I'm surprised you're shocked shit, anyone, on a Mirai payroll is a stem tech kiss ass, now let's board our bus.

Case: right let's go.

(Case and yon walk to bus 4A, Eve is spotted getting on the bus along with kaisuga the jock, and a couple of other students. Case and yon pick their seats and eve decides to sit across from them. Kaisuga sits in an entire bus seat just to himself across from Case and yon.)

Case: "holy shit it's Kaisuga Hayashi, Mirai highs issue. this guy is never at school I'm shocked to even see him on this field trip he has the worst grade record here. Only known for being a huge meathead." Bro yon. Do you see that, it's Kaisuga Hayashi (Case whispers to yon)

Yon: yea I see it alright, I'm surprised he's even here in the flesh man. (yon whispers back)

Bus driver: (Alright students buckle your belts in we're getting ready to take off)

Case: well here we go.

Yon: you nervous at all?.

Case: only a little, mom told me not to think about my dad and stuff. But I plan on snooping around anyway this might be the only chance I get.

Yon: you're crazy if you think I'm letting you snoop around stem tech alone, I'll follow you around and keep eye on some security.

Case: no don't The tour guide has to do a headcount of the students when we walk into the building just stay with the class ok?.

Yon: I don't like the sound of you snooping around stem tech man you know the Oni sukima are on alert at all times if they catch you...

Case: Yon relax ok I'll be fin-

Kaisuga Hayashi: FOR CRYING OUT LOUD WOULD YOU TWO SHUT THE HELL UP. (yells Kaisuga)

Case: oh great.

Yon: who the hell do you think you're talking to? Me and my friend can talk all we want.

Kaisuga: (Stands up from his seat and gets in yons face) What the fuck did you just say to me?

Yon: (Yon Stands up and gets in Kaisugas face as well) I don't think I stuttered Hayashi.

Case: Guys relax dammit were in a school bus have some Sense.

Eve: Would the both of you Sit down. ( eve says in a serious and stern tone.)

(both stunned Yon and Hayashi sit in their seats)

Kaisuga: You're lucky the chick stepped in.

Yon: yeah whatever.

Case: see yon that's what I was saying, that chick means business.

Yon: yeah I get it now, Case look were coming up on the building.

(The bus is headed over the bridge which shortly reveals the magnanimous stem tech building, since the incident the architecture has come a long way.)

Case: Woah. They really have done some expanding.

Yon: yeah it's like this place has tripled in size.

Kaisuga: WOW I NEVER THOUGHT ID SEE THIS PLACE I SWORE THAT I WOULD MAKE IT HERE THIS IS WHY IM THE BEST!

Case: "seems like being the best is all he cares about. Terrible ego." Well yon we're here hopefully I can get the answers I'm looking for.

Yon: yea me too let's ju-

(CRACK! WHIZZ! A bullet goes flying through the bus windshield striking the driver in the head causing the bus to veer off the road immediately)

Case: OH WHAT THE FUCK?!

yon: CASE HOLD ONTO SOMETHING.

(many of the students are screaming in fear and trying to cling onto something for dear life as the bus gets sent off the side of the bridge. Eve, Kaisuga, yon, and Case are violently thrown around by the crash. Cases vision fades to black over the screams of the inescapable death to his classmates and possibly his friend. Yon)

(Many moments later....)

Case: (finally coming to) "oh my God..... My head... Gah, yon! Yon! Where are you"

(case tries with all his strength to yell for Yon, but then pulls himself under a bus seat after hearing voices coming from the front of the bus.)

(oni sukima agent)OSAWolf: Find the girl and double-tap these bodies in case someones trying to hide.

OSA Dove: Affirmative Sir.

Case: "find the girl? Double-tap the bodies? Holy fuck what is going on. Dammit I've got to find yon"

(The Oni skimmer agents slowly walk down the bus aisle shooting each of the dead bodies checking if there are any people alive. Case is extremely scared and at this point, he just wants to find Yon.)

OSA Prairie dog: Sir the bodies have been double-tapped but there's no sign of the girl. We found that there's a hole in the back of the bus my analysis is she went through there.

OSA Wolf: Affirmative. Dove, Prairie dog On me Were gonna check around the wreckage.

(The Oni Sukima agents make their way to the end of the bus and search the outside Wreckage for The girl. MORTIFIED by the sight of his slain classmates Case is scared Frozen laying under a bus seat with blood running from his forehead.)

Case: "I can't believe this. I don't know what to do. If this hit the news moms probably losing her shit. And who are these guys these police? I've never seen anything like them before. Could these be Oni sukima Yon mentioned?" Dammit, Forget it I have to move.

(Case musters The strength to get up and move to the front end of the bus, but he still has to be cautious because the OSA is still around the wreckage. Just when Case feels all hope is lost he gets a Text from Yon)

Case: (Phone vibrates. BZZT...BZZT...) "Hey Case listen I need you to pay attention alright I'm with eve and man your not gonna believe this. I'm sure you made it out of the bus if so take the canal down and you'll see a shed we will be waiting for you there."

Case: "Dammit. alright, he said take the canal. I gotta get going."

(What truly is a horrific sight Case emerges from the wreckage making his way to the canal. All he can do is look in sadness, at all those poor students. Case manages to escape with nothing but a gash on his forehead and knowing how dangerous the OSA Is, it most certainly could have been worse if he were caught. Now he proceeds to make his way to the shed)

Case: "I've gotta call mom I'm sure she's worried sick." (BZZT...BZZZT...BZZZT. Sorry you've reached the voicemail box of Emiko Tanaka, unfortunately, she wasn't able to come to the phone right now would you like to leave a message?) " Hey. Mom, it's me Case I'm sure you're worried sick right now but I want you to know that I'm alright ok? And I'll be home soon I love you, mom..."

Case: "This is it, this must be the shed, Yon! (Case shouted)

Yon: Eve it's him! He's here.

Yon: CASE! ( yon runs to him and they both hug each other)

Case: YON! I thought you... I thought you died man.

Yon: when we crashed you blacked out. The crash Was terrible. When the bus fell into the valley it ripped a hole in the back of it, Eve and I barely escaped through it in the nick of time. I wanted to get you but there were so many dead bodies and I just. I thought-.

Case: No don't worry Yon we're here now and that's all that matters.

Yon: Did anyone survive?.

Case: No... It was terrible those Oni guys you mentioned. They shot the dead bodies. I had to damn near play dead. I'm lucky I even made it here.

Yon: Oh my God...Those bastards are gonna pay. Look man what I had to talk to you about. Those skimmers are looking for eve. She basically explained to me that...

Case: What, WHAT? spit it out, man.

Yon: She has an augment...

(Case Stares at Yon in confusion.)

Case: Wait like. An augment? Like a Cybernetic Augment?!.

Yon: Yes. She has one and she explained to me that the OSA is looking for her because of it.

Case: "Oh wow. This explains why she acts the way she does. So standoffish, mysterious, pressing. This can end up very badly if the Skimmers find her."

Case: Well then. (Case exclaims with worry) Where is she?

Yon: she's inside the shed come on let's go talk to her about this.

Case: Alright... By the way, I didn't see Kaisuga at the crash site did you guys see him anywhere?.

Yon: no but he's tougher than the average guy so I'm sure he made it as well.

(Case and yon walk into the shed to speak to eve about the augment. It's quiet and there is a lot of tension amongst the three.)

Case: Uh hey eve. ( Case says timidly)

Eve: Case. I'm sure yon already explained it, those men, they are looking for me because of my augment.

Case: But how?! how do you even have one and how did they even find you on the bus.?!.

Eve: Calm down okay. Look, before I arrived in Kyoto when I lived in Samoa, my mother had gotten a call that she had received a job offer to work at Stem tech. With this being an opportunity to have a better life my mother was all for it, when her first day came around the company flew me and my family out to Kyoto where we would start our new life. I mostly grew up in that stem tech building, always around my mother ( Eve chuckles as she reminisces.) But. On the day of the accident, she went missing. Her death was never confirmed they deemed her MIA (Missing in action). I took it upon myself to go to the company after the destruction of it. I wanted to find her. But then the OSA arrived and I barely escaped with my life. They chased me through the wreckage and I fell, I fell into this weird almost hidden-looking area. It looked like some sort of lab, The OSA was hot on my trail though so I was trapped. It was either I fight or they kill me. But then my body felt tight and hot, I was burning up, I felt something latch onto my back and a hole opened on my nape. Whatever was on me. The augment. I felt it "speak" to me and this, this key-like thing constructed out of thin air, told me to "link myself with the stem" so I put it in the hole on my nape. And everything altered. my strength, speed, my heart started beating a mile a minute. The officers took this as a threat and opened fire immediately... They shot so many times like I was some wild animal. I just closed my eyes and prayed. I wanted my mother. I was scared...

Case: Wow... Eve, I'm so sorry. I-

Eve: When the gunshots stopped I opened my eyes, All of the shell casings were on the floor around me and a shield of light surrounded me it was cast from the augment latched onto my back. I felt safe. The warmth from the shield resembled my mother's hugs....

Case: Well, uh man, that sure  is something.  what happened with the guards that shot at you?. (Case stammered Awkwardly and confused)

Eve: I'm not sure. after the shield dissipated all I saw was their guns laying on the ground it was almost like the beam of light from the shield vaporized them.

Case: Woah. Eve, I had no clue that you even went through all of this.

Eve: Don't even mention it. At the crash site did the OSA follow you?.

Case: Not that I know of I tried my best to escape as quiet as possible.

(Case and eve are finishing up their conversation when they hear Yon yell from outside)

Yon: UH GUYS. (Yon says in an alarming tone)

(Case and Eve walk out to see Yon in the clutches of two Oni Sukima Agents.)

OSA Dove: Eyes on the girl she exited the shed, permission to engage sir.

OSA Wolf: Negative. wait until prairie has eyes on her from the sniping point.

OSA Wolf: (Over coms Prairie do you have eyes.)

OSA Prairie Dog: (Over coms Affirmative Sir. just say the word )

OSA Wolf: ALRIGHT NOW. THE YOUNG MAN NEXT TO THE SUBJECT TAKE THREE STEPS AWAY FROM HER OR WE WILL OPEN FIRE.  (Wolf yells to Case and Eve).

Case: And why should i?!.

Eve: Don't be a hero these guys mean business. just let me handle them (She whispers to him)

OSA Wolf: DO IT OR ILL PAINT THE GROUND WITH YOUR BUDDIES SKULL!.

Yon: Case just do it!. (Yon struggles while being grabbed by Wolf)

OSA Dove: Be quiet. (He says sternly to yon)

Case: Alright alright I'm moving.

(As case takes two steps back before he can get off the third step he hears OSA Wolf say "Fire" Prairie dog then opens fire from the sniper's peak aiming directly at eve. In a quick action, Case shoves eve and the bullet goes through his chest.)

OSA Wolf: DAMMIT. THE KID.

OSA Prairie Dog: HE PUSHED HER OUT OF THE WAY.

Yon: CASE NO!!!!. (He rushed towards case's falling body.)

Eve: (Attentively she catches case before he hits the ground) Case! CASE!.

OSA Dove: DAMMIT. OPEN FIRE!.

( The OSA began Firing at Yon, case, and eve.

Case is losing lots of blood and an onslaught of bullets are flying towards them. At the last second eve Activates her shield augment and covers the three of them.)

Eve: YON GET DOWN.

OSA DOVE: MOVE IN AND FIRE DO NOT LET UP

OSA WOLF: GO GO GO!

OSA PRAIRIE DOG: AFFIRMATIVE!.

(They all rush closer and closer putting more heavy fire onto Eves Sheild, as she gives it her all to withstand the bullets the shield combusts a beam that sends the OSA Flying. Hopefully, with this buying them time Eve and Yon grab Case's body and try to make it out of the canal and back into the town.)

Eve: YON WE HAVE TO GO COME ON.

Yon: OKAY OKAY. (Yon says hesitantly)

(They both manage to flee with case.)

A few minutes go by.

OSA Dove: Dammit.

OSA Wolf: Shes getting stronger.

OSA Prairie Dog: What just happened boss.

OSA Wolf: She's getting closer with her augment that's what happened, We only have one more shot at taking her down. If we fail she'll be strong enough to kill us next time.

OSA Dove: Well then we kill Onsight, whoever has to get it, Bystanders, close friends you name it. WE CANNOT let her get the upper hand.

OSA Prairie: Well then let's wrap up this shit show and head back to HQ were gonna have to prepare Correctly this Time.

OSA Wolf: Affirmative.

(The Oni Sukima Agents leave the shed And head back to their base of operations for a better plan. If they're going to stop Eve This time they need to make sure there are no loose ends.)

(Meanwhile, Yon and Eve Arrived at Her house, they have tried to stop the bleeding with a ripped piece of clothing but it's not looking too well for Case. will he pull through?....)
