I could barely contain my excitement with the chance of gaining another favour from the lord, whom I now know to be a viscount. I looked inside the window containing my inventory. It was a 9x9 grid where identical items could stack up to 99. Inside was the scroll I received, only it said it was now a stack of two.
The system rewards don't include the rewards for a real quest! How broken is this?! I have to abuse this whenever I can; It's literally a money-doubling hack!
I headed to the board full of quests and looked for ones with a Copper rank requirement. There were mainly extermination quests and caravan-guarding quests.
They were things like: 'Caravan guards needed! Headed to Rowan City!' 'Hiring Guards, Destination: Salt City.' 'In need of Rabbit Meat, 20Kg.' 'Inferno Squirrel tails NEEDED!' 'Boars hide, 15 needed.' 'Bear on the loose. Bring back evolved black bear hide.'
There were many jobs, but I decided to leave it for now. I had gold in my pocket and things to buy. I said my goodbyes to the members and headed to the Alchemist Guild. It was the only place to buy potions and was also the congregation point for those working with the ethereal field.
The Ethereal field is meant to emulate the behaviour of antimatter. In the game, you build up your Ethereal Influence attribute points until you gain points in the Magic Resistance stat. For each point in Magic Resistance, you gain access to a single point of mana, which regenerates at a constant rate of 2/H.
Magic was meant to be an end-game mechanic which should scale to the real world. This is also the riskiest path of evolution; the level of resistance needed to be able to store antimatter within the body is quite frankly ridiculous. As expected of the godlike AI, it solved this paradox. But it wasn't without its cost. This experimentation caused 95% of all casualties in the mutation project.
The safest way to go down this path was to maintain a high Constitution stat, and even then, it wasn't guaranteed to be non-lethal. Mages have the most power at their fingertips, but that power also comes with the highest risks.
Soon, I arrived at the Alchemist Guild. It was nicer than the adventurers guild, with the entire building made of stone instead of wood. The door was polished wood that was full of tiny carvings depicting various items.
I pushed it open and found it swung open as if it was weightless. 'A neat contraption.' I thought to myself. In the center of the room, there was a display with many potions across the top. Behind it were two counters with a well-dressed man and woman standing behind each of them. There was a staircase leading to a second floor in the corner, but there were two guards standing on either side.
Both of them looked rather intimidating with their full black body armour. The floors were so polished you could see your reflection in the tiles. The whole place gave off an intimidating aura of wealth. I was protected by the coins in my pocket, but without them, I would probably leave in a hurry.
I headed over to the potions on the central island, there were 14 potions on display. Six were shades of red, three were yellow, two were black, one was green, and the last two were purple. They were grouped into 3 categories: Health, Survival and Combat.
Health had six health potions containing shades of red with increasing vibrancy. Survival held all the colors, and Combat held the two purple potions. I checked out the lightest colored potions first. They should be the ones with the weakest effects.

Sorry for the late chapter; life got busy there for a hot minute.
I was reading Abyssal lord of the Magi World, and it's got some pretty good progression. I also finished Tinkering With Life (GOT), and that was top-tier. It's a shame it only has 30 chapters, though.
Thanks for reading guys!
