Chapter 35:Con■□■■□

Walking past the reception, I took a moment to admire the time chamber building's design (I need a shorter name for this). It's color scheme consisted of only silver, grey and blue, the sheer synchronization of the color scheme left me awe struck.

Enough of the stupid excessiveness, in short it looked good and rightfully so (a bit excessive for me but meh.), so much so I stopped for a moment and rotated my entire body just to get a 360 view.

"Like dam! Who are you trying to impress, us or yourselves?" Nobe said brazenly in respect for the place's design.

I was in the main lobby of the building so it's not surprising that it would be big, at the top of the building was an in-built hole, naturally it confused me since from the outside, there was another floor above this one but then again I met Nature so this really didn't last as long so I just guessed it was done by a light or space user.

Anyway the light was coming from that hole, and it illuminated the entire lobby, which made the places clad in silver glisten or shine varying on the different textures that the used and that, unexpectedly, made the entire place illuminate more but in the good sense because since they used grey as well not all the light was re-dispersed, and it was dimed as well, so it wasn't too bright for the sensitive types. While the blue was done right, they didn't use only one shade of it but multiple and in the right places which made the place stand out even more, didn't irritate the eyes but then again was a blessing for them.

Not many know this about me but I'm very selective with my color pallet, most people tend to ignore it but if the right colors are used in the most optimum way then even a rundown apartment could be made to look like an art piece. Although according to the color theory these really that much of a match at least they didn't disappoint when coloring this place.

After my moment of silenced praise, I decided to head to my chamber. One thing we got wrong was that the entire building was a time chamber, in actuality there were designated rooms where the actual effect of time chamber would be granted. But then again we weren't that off since the entire building is a different space, we couldn't tell since my friendly neighborhood space user was out of commission, now where we were wrong was that it was only the building, each room is its own space. I got all this info from the very kind receptionist, as for the reason for the excessive different space's is 'security' and since I'm not a space user and have little knowledge regarding it further explanation would be useless.

'I'll just ask Mono for extra details later.'

Anyway, as mentioned clearly stated only the top 10 are allowed to use this and it was clearer with the building possessing only 10 rooms, each for their respectful ranks so obviously my room was the seventh.

In total there were 4 floors, the first floor held the chambers for the first to the fourth, the second floor held chambers for the fifth to the eighth while finally the third floor held the ninth and tenth and finally the fourth floor aka the base of the building was the entrance, exit and reception.

For some reason the floor one was on represented the sizes of the chambers and as such the first floor the biggest chambers and the third the smallest. I assumed it was designed as such for competition and what-not, well in any case I was fine with whatever I got since the effects were kept constant across the rooms. Climbing my way to the second floor, I obviously admired the building on my way up. Finally reaching my floor, my door was the first from the base up, so I didn't have to walk anymore, l scrutinized its design first and yep whom ever was in charge of the design of this building was a god among humans. The door was shiny darkish silver in color, which is one of the element's two symbolic colors and at the center of the door was a huge '7' but its size was in consideration of the door basically the whole number was in view despite its size, and it was still in the dead center of the door. What was soo mesmerizing about the door was that the number 7 on the door was made of see-through and inside it was a clock, symbolizing my element and it was surrounded by moving cogs.

The clock was pushed back a bit and the cogs were in front of it though they were the small cogs, there were cogs of different sizes and thicknesses and they were all moving in sync, all this really made for an amazing sight and what's better was that the time was deathly accurate. As mentioned before we time users are always aware of the time to perfection be it in our sleep or near our death, so seeing this was a clear sign that a time user made this.

"Hope you like it, Astraea really put her all into designing it. After all she too is a time user like you, so she was like 'I know what us time users like more than anyone.' So we left her to it."

Slowly looking at the direction of the voice, Nobe saw a man standing beside him. He looked well above over 20 years, he was of average height and looked to be the extremely joyful type. With a smile plastered on his face he stood and looked at Nobe, not uttering anything more.

'That's her Name? I forgot to ask her, oh well. Name sounds feminine and sounds like matches her appearance.' Nobe suddenly remembered the receptionist's appearance. In truth she looked too beautiful to be a receptionist, like she belonged to some higher or different position, and this was further emphasized in his head by her refined method of speech and flexibility when she spoke to him, but he really couldn't care less at the moment.

"She's a time user?" that was what really caught his attention. As mentioned before for a time user to be attending a school is quite a rare sight Reason?, well the house of time is also known as the 'most generous' this is because all time users be them born in the house or not, they are all to study and understand their element in the house of time and as such during their time there they are made a member of the house if time, no matter how long or far you search you shall never find a time user who isn't part of the house of time.

And better yet, for them, the house of time isn't controlling. After completing one's education there, they are free to do as they please and they are also given benefits, though they vary depending on several factors. So one may ask, Considering Nobe's age why is he in Ignatius and not at the house of time?. Without any signs of restraints he continued.

"Yes!, she is and a quite adept one at that. you're a student in Ignatius so since you too are a tie user you'll probably be seeing her quite a lot, I think. She's also part of the teaching staff there."

Astraea's position wasn't that odd unlike Nobe's, since one is free to choose, she might have been offered a position here in consideration of Nobe. After all a time user is more adept to teach a time user than anyone else.

"Oh, will I?. please thank her for her efforts for me, I love the design. It was nice talking to you, may I know your name?" Nobe spoke slowly with eyes filled with suspicion and a wide fake smile plastered on his face.

Nobe was uncomfortable, for whatever reason he wasn't aware, but he was dead sure there was something wrong. Although they were just suspicions Nobe wondered:

'Why praise her so much? 'She is and a quite adept one at that' why use that phrasing?. And your statement 'you'll probably be seeing her quite a lot', you're implying something aren't you? Is it good or bad? One thing is for sure though you're directing my attention towards her, you haven't even mentioned a single thing about yourself.'

One may think these suspicions were ungrounded and so do I but if one were in Nobe's position they would understand better. For one, him being here is quite an anomaly since he is part of the main family he should be getting the best from his family?, but as he said during one of his conversations with Mono, 'It's especially because I am of the main family that I can't use or even touch time artifacts.' Quite an odd statement to make. Another thing, why isn't Nobe Known? His popularity isn't at the level of those who are part of the main family in their respective families why is that? one may think him being in Mono's position in this case, but Need I remind you Mono isn't part of the main family in the house of space, it's Rina. Consider people Like Emily, Mia, Julius, Zach, Nora, Sophia, Amber, Abner, Vincent, Anna, and Genesis all are children of the main houses of their respective families, all are known for something. The Blood twins Nora and Genesis, the ice queen Mia, the mountain Julius, the songstress Anna, the queen of darkness Emily and the odd Rina and more but where's Nobe?

And another thing, there's a difference when [these brackets] are used from (these brackets). The first set is my direct interference while the second, think of them as the narrator's voice or something extra I'm trying to add in relation to the story's text/dialogue.

Nobe in short is quite the odd one, despite being part of the main family he is known for absolutely Nothing. Despite this, and the more that hasn't been mentioned, Nobe has his own personal reasons for his suspicions after all one thing about him that he considers himself is 'Alone'.

Nobe was positioned in a way that only his head was partially turned to look at the man he was talking to, so the door to his room was in his vision and naturally so was the clock. From the moment Nobe begun suspecting him he used his element immediately. The Man faced with Nobe's question looked at Nobe for a bit longer and slowly his smile grew a bit more, from a normal welcoming smile it changed to a tad bit sadistic although it wasn't that noticeable it was still present and naturally Nobe took the hint.

"My name? oh it's Con■□■■□."

Stopping time, that's something everyone expects a time user to be capable of but no one but them knows the impossibility that is stopping time. Normally a time user is unable to stop time by themselves for long, although possible it takes too much out the user and may cost them their lives depending on their strength. For a time user to stop time by themselves shows their sheer strength and mastery over the element, but it was discovered that a time user can stop time with the help of a space user. For a time user to stop time they temporally tamper with the main timeline and stop its flow and as such it was a daunting task but if a space user was involved it's a completely different case.

Since the building itself was a separate space, it had a different time flow, but that flow was in relation to the main timeline but still different since the spaces weren't connected. As such if a time user were to tamper with the time flow in this small space, it would be far easier.

"LEAK, REKI!" Nobe shouted as he jumped back. For a moment, the world turned a bit silver during that small moment, the 7 on Nobe's door cracked then once more, then it finally shattered. From inside the 7 an abundance of mana flowed out along with the glass. Like a wave the mana slammed into the wall opposite it and flooded the entire building immediately after the world returned to its normal color. Amazingly the glass that shattered outward stopped just a few centimeters from the ground, all the pieces remined in space, motionless. Nobe stopped time.

Although it really doesn't sound like something special, one has no idea the implications of such an act but a time user.
