Back in the cage

After the whole flour incident we went to work together before going our separate ways .

No one noticed me come out of his car since he had his own parking lot .

I headed to my own department and I saw Kyla staring at me intensely like she was trying to figure something out .

" Hey Anastasia " she said .

" ummm hi Kyla, how can I help you " I said .

"Tell me the truth , do you know the CEO personally" she said with a serious expression.

I have to find a way out …

I gestured for her to come closer and she did , then in a low voice I said .,,

" Actually I do live with him as my mum is a maid at his place , but I was too embarrassed to say it " I said feigning being downcast.

She looked shock and sad for me .

" I'm so sorry for probing " she said feeling embarrassed. Playing with a person's emotions was easy but I didn't do it unless needed .

She finally went back to her cubicle . Thank God .

It was lunch time and Kyla invited me to lunch along with her brother Jeff .

I agreed and we went to the cafeteria and being that I missed breakfast I ate my lunch without engaging in any conversation with them , after I was done I excused myself of having work to do .

I'm not used to people being nice to me so it was not my fault I was being cold to them.

After work hours I immediately headed for the underground parking lot meant for Alexander luckily we got there at the same time and headed home .

We were at the dining and I don't have to cook was back .

We were eating when he said

" Your father said there would be an event at your house tomorrow so we should attend "

That brought out all fear , anxiety and depression back again .

It was like an animal that was freed by a zoo was captured by another all is a cage no matter the time spent .

"Anastasia are you listening " he said with a hint of annoyance

" Y..yes I am " I was scared and it was showing I better get my act together.

" I understand, I'll be in the room " I said stood up and left .

*** ALEXANDER POV***

I knew when I told her about the event she was instantly sad .

She hated her monster of a family but she was a monster too .

I knew her brother Cain gave me that parcel in hopes I'll treat her better , boy was he wrong .

When I start with her and her family they'll regret it .

I went to the room after I finished some unfinished work .

When I got to the room I saw she had fallen asleep so I stood there watching her sleep fighting the urge to hold her while I sleep .

But I just felt like giving up on all this but I push that feeling away .

I just take a shower and slept on the other side of the bed .

What do I do Nas , is it possible to hate and still lo… no I only hate you , ok?
