For some reason, Xiao Qiang felt that the child resembled the disciple he once had in a past life. The disciple had died at the hands of a millennial vixen, trying to save Xiao Qiang. Despite avenging his disciple by skinning and eviscerating the demon creature, Xiao Qiang was still not able to save his disciple. Henceforth, he never took on another one.

With a sigh, Xiao Qiang walked over, squatting down to reassure the little girl, "Tongtong, don't worry, your father will wake up soon."

He remembered the girl had just told him her name was Tongtong.

Blinking her eyes, Tongtong looked up at the odd man in front of her. She inexplicably felt a sense of trust towards this stranger who saved her dad, even though she didn't fully understand what happened.

Upon hearing Xiao Qiang's reassurance, Tongtong nodded vigorously, "Uncle, can you stay with me until my dad comes out?"

Xiao Qiang nodded, taking her hand and they sat near the operating room entrance.
