However, he had finally been recognized for his professionalism. Unfortunately, it was the very Heavens itself. Taken from his own world, he was paired up with the Young Master System and placed in the body of the Seventh Young Master of the Rain Clan. His new job was to play the role of the villainous Young Master and to go against the Heavens Chosen of this world. What do you mean he only gets rewarded when he gets face-slapped by them? Heading Out

"The Structure of the Rain Clan" gave Leon insights into the makeup of the Rain Clan. Unsurprisingly, the true authority within the clan resided within the main branch. Thankfully, Leon was a member of said branch as only the children of the Clan Head would be addressed as Young Master. There were also some branches in the Clan that held some type of authority, and an example of this was the Disciplinary Hall.

The Disciplinary Hall members was a branch specially trained to carry out their duty, but they had no ties to any of the businesses of the Clan nor did they have any true authority over any of the branches. They can only display their strength if there was sufficient evidence of the accused party's wrong doings. Leon suspected there was some type of brainwashing going on to keep the Disciplinary Hall in line. The head of the Disciplinary Hall was the Disciplinary Elder.

There were also Elder positions that could be taken that had nothing to do with which branch of the Clan they are in. One such position was the Elder in charge of the Library, it seemed their main duty was to watch over and protect the Forbidden section of the Books. However, it seemed like any books connected to cultivation or martial techniques were left under the care of a different Elder. The main duty of the Library Elder was that of a record keeper and to also verify any and all information within the Library.

There were also Elder positions that were given to individuals of the Clan based on either their business achievements or their cultivation. What was emphasized in the book was that each Elder position was for the sake of safeguarding the integrity of the Clan. Most of the branch families in the Rain Clan were assigned a different type of business while others focused solely on different cultivation techniques that had been refined over generations by the members of that branch.

Sadly, the book had no information about the current generation, so he was unable to find any information about the original and his direct family. More than likely any information about the current living members of the Clan were deemed too important to be publicly available within the Clan.

He had however seen a section of the book that describes how the next Clan Head would be chosen. The first requirement was that the children of the current Clan Head had to run a business on their own without the aid of the clan and it had to be profitable. The child can either create their own business or take over a business that is currently making losses for the clan. Another requirement is for their martial prowess to be superior to their peers. The final requirement is to gain the majority approval of the current Elders of the Clan.

Leon sat back as he fully digested all the information he had gained over the last few days and tried to organize his findings. He now had a better understanding of his own standing within the Clan along with his status as a Young Master of the Rain Clan in comparison to the denizens of Phoenix Cry City. Leon stood up, stacked the books into a small pile, and made his way over to the door. As he exited his room he saw his servant still standing guard next to the door.

Does he ever leave? What about going to the bathroom, eating, or sleeping. Leon didn't smell any body odor so the servant must have gone and taken a bath at least. Leon was kind of worried that rather than guarding or serving him the this man's true duty was to keep him under observation. Then again with how the original acted, it wouldn't be surprising if the clan had kept someone around him to reign him in.

Leon just lifted the books slightly to emphasize his intentions before he started heading back towards the Library. The guard in servant clothes followed behind him without saying a word and showed no intention to converse with Leon about the past few days. That's fine by him.

Thankfully, "The Structure of the Rain Clan" covered the layout of the Rain Compound, or at least a basic introduction of it that left out all the more secretive and core locations of the Clan. Even the hall that he had been living in hadn't been labeled as where he resided. Leon was just content at not having to find a guide every time he wanted to go somewhere now.

After he returned the books to the librarian, who showed a vastly different reception from last time, Leon debated on whether or not he should gather some more books about Phoenix Cry City. He dismissed the idea as he thought it would be more fun to get a first hand experience of the city instead. He could always just make a mental note of any locations he wanted to research about upon his return anyway.

For the first time since his transmigration he made his way over to a new destination without the help of a guide. Leon felt like he was truly making progress in his new life. As he walked out the front entrance of the compound he was met with the sight of two guards stationed at the front gate. The two looked back at the sound of the door being opened and met Leon's gaze. The two stood at attention the moment they learned the identities of the duo who were leaving.

Leon's gaze hovered over the two guards as he assessed their bearing with interest. Were these two cultivators? He still hadn't learned much about cultivation in this world as the books didn't cover much about what it entailed. While they did talk a little about how it helped the clan reach its current status, it didn't cover how it helped to do so nor what cultivators were capable of.

The only thing he could decipher about cultivation was that it had something to do with martial arts. He had thought about researching and maybe even practicing a martial art but decided against it due to his lack of time until the Heavens' Chosen arrived. Also it seemed the beginning stage of cultivation has something to do with strengthening the body rather than learning martial techniques.

If Leon started to work out now, rather than building muscles he was more likely just to work off some of the extra weight that had been built up through fat. He was also at a disadvantage since the books said that people usually start cultivating at a young age. Even the first signs of results would only be seen a few months after you start, and that's only if the individual was talented.

Even as Leon stared at the two guards he couldn't sense the pressure coming from his servant from them. Were they not cultivators? Or was it that his servant was just a beast? Ah, his stare had made the two guards uncomfortable based on how tense they had become.

"I am heading out to the city, make way."

The two hesitated for a moment before opening the gate for him. Hopefully, he wasn't skipping some type of procedure for clan members to go out. Well based on how nobody tried to stop him he should be fine. As he walked through he saw one of the two go through the door he had exited moments before.

Was he going to inform someone that the pariah of the family was going to cause chaos in the city again? Maybe they will send some guards to follow along and protect him, he still is a young master of the prestigious Rain Clan even if he's somewhat of an outcast. Ah, that probably wouldn't be necessary he thought to himself as he glanced over his shoulder at his companion.

The first place he ended up at was the Business District of Phoenix Cry city. It made sense seeing how the Rain Clan's compound was located at the edge of said district. It's hard to tell if the Clan settled near the Business District or if the district formed nearby due to the Clan's influence in the business aspect of the city.

Of the two other major clans, the Park clan resided outside the city so that they would have an open space for raising their spirit beasts. The Park Clan however settled in the Guild District, or to be more exact next to the Alchemist Guild. The Penta Flame sects location was also outside the City. The only reason the Sect was affiliated with Phoenix Cry City was due to the sect having ties with the City Hall while also having annual disciple recruitment in the city.

It seems like the recruitment became a whole event due to the other sects in the city also opening up their recruitment at the same time. It could be said the other sects wanted to take advantage of the situation and try to recruit those who were just barely short of the mark setup by the Penta Flame Sect. Such individuals were still talents that any of those sects would love to recruit. The reason that Leon had such information was due to how the Rain Clan's different businesses would also take advantage of the event to pull in customers with propaganda that their wares will help them pass the tests.

The business oriented Rain Clan was not one to allow such a golden opportunity to make money pass them by.
