2 Chapter 2

On her first day of school she was four years old and because her parents were at work, Lucy's maid brought her to school. When she was brought into the classroom by the maid she happily introduced herself to the class. the children of course did not care about her surname but when they went home, they of course told their parents about the pretty new girl in their class. At first the parents were just hoping for their children to make a new friend, but once they heard her name, they started to scheme, unbeknownst to little Lucy. When she was approached by all the people in the class she thought that it was just because they all thought that she was really nice. But of course it wasn't. When is anything in life that simple? But over time there was one boy who stood out from all the rest of the students. His name was Matt and he had joined the class not much longer after she had and he didn't know her surname.

Over the years she had come to realise why people always flocked to her like bees on honey, and that it was mainly because of her powerful backing. This was of course somewhat helped by some horrible people in her class that she refused to be nice to because she saw how unfairly they treated some people compared to others. When she asked them why they were so horrible they simply said that nobody was mean to her because they wanted to use her. She eventually came to know that this was because they thought that she could at least introduce them to a few people.

But in all these people there was one person that she thought she could trust. Matt. He obviously didn't care about her surname so she approached him and asked if she could sit with him. As the years passed she started to sit with him more and more often, and he was starting to get more and more handsome. One day he invited her to his house when they were about twelve.

They had a great time and she accidentally said something about her family whilst she was laughing, and she didn't even realise that she said anything, as Matt and his mother didn't say anything about it. She hadn't realised until she went to the toilet that she let something slip about her family and she just started hoping desperately that they hadn't noticed. I mean if he didn't know who her family was then she wouldn't have to worry that he was using her, right?

When she went back to the main room she heard Matt's mother talking to him about her. Who wouldn't listen in to that conversation right? What his mother said shocked her. Apparently there was no need for her to go to such lengths to hide her surname from Matt because he already knew. His mother was talking to him about making a move on Lucy before she went and got herself a different boyfriend because they needed her money. Lucy didn't think twice about turning tail an running. She never saw Matt again.
