He Was in Bolsmere

One day, when Elisa began to think that things couldn't get any worse, the situation actually got worse. It was probably the worst of all.

Elke barged into Elisa's chamber with tearful eyes. Her breath was rapid, and she bit her lower lip as she locked eyes with Elisa.

"What is it, Elke? Why are you making that face?" The longer Elke's silence persisted, the bigger the fear Elisa felt. "You're scaring me. Please speak. Did something happen?"

The second princess stared at the ground. Tears dropped to the floor, which aggravated Elisa's worry even more. Elisa got up to a seat. She dragged herself out of bed and approached her sister.

She reached out to her hand and squeezed it lightly. "Elke?"

"...gone…"

"What did you say? I can't hear you."

Elke lifted her chin and said, "Sir Karl is dead."

It took several seconds for Elisa to process the sentence. It didn't go well through her brain.
