Brutal Slayer.

Making my way from alley to alley, I was looking for more roaches. It didn't take long at all. Soon, a small group of them appeared before me. Like the others, they rushed to their death.

Raising my arm, I made sure none of my skills were activated.

 *Slash*

My clawed hand descended as the first one approached. I studied, as my almost blade-like fingers sliced through them. I realized this time that there was more resistance. When I used the skill earlier, it felt like I was cutting through butter. But now, while it isn't hard to kill, I still felt the pressure that their carapace put up against the attack. I hear a notification go off in my head but I didn't pay it any attention. I repeated the action again and slashed down towards the next one, cleaving it in two, not so different from the first one I killed. It was then I noticed it had green blood. I wasn't sure if it was an insect thing or the result of radiation exposure.

When the next one was in striking distance I tried to swing my hand in a different motion. It was a backhand strike, or rather slash. This time I only used my claws to hit them. The bug was parted effortlessly, not as easily as when I used the Scratch skill but easier than the downward strike I did just before this. Immediately I understood. This was because my current position made my attack motion smoother. It was because the attack had more rotation therefore it sliced through more effectively.

Unexpectedly though, this time the Roach didn't die in one hit. Although my backhand strike had better slicing power. It didn't penetrate as deeply as my earlier hits.

That's good. I'm learning. This is the kind of experience I wanted to gain. What moves work best on different enemies. For instance, If I was fighting humans? Well, I believe the tear skill would work best. In the first place, the only reason humans can beat Deathclaws is the Deathclaws lack of intelligence, going at them wildly and throwing them around without actually killing them quickly. This gives humans a higher chance to it.

Alternatively, if a Deathclaw were to just squeeze them to death? Or immediately tear them to pieces? Even without empowering skills a Deathclaw could just pick a person up, even one in power armor, and smash them against the ground repeatedly until they're dead.

By the time my thoughts were finished, I killed another 5 Rad Roaches.

-Scratch[2] levels up to Scratch[3].-

--Congratulation! You have leveled up from level 1 to level 2 Stat distribution available--

My eyes widened a bit as I saw the notification.

'Stat distribution? If that's what I think it is.'

This should mean that my stats aren't already allocated. This also means I can level up without worrying about the raising of my stats becoming harder through training. This way I can save my points up until I can no longer increase my HP, SP, and MP through training exercises. Though, In truth I still have no idea how to use my MP right now, let alone train it.

'Let's see what's different on my Information page.'

'Info page'

Surprisingly so much has changed. First I click on the plus symbol at the end of HP, SP, and MP.

-HP: 543/543. HP represents the overall Health Pool and Vitality.-

-SP: 1042/1200. SP represents the overall Stamina pool, Endurance, and strength.-

-MP: 100/100. MP represents the Overall Magic pool, Magic density, and Magic affinity.-

'Ohh this is new. Vitality? It usually refers to carrying weight and natural defense. As well as overall resistance to poisons and disease. Endurance is stamina and resistance of the elements. and strength is well... It's Strength. As for the Magic, It's pretty obvious. More MP, stronger Magic, and higher comprehension.'

'Let's see, Stat points available?'

I clicked on the plus sign.

-Stat points. Able to increase HP, SP, and MP. 1 point increases any stat by 15.-

'15? That's a lot. Much more than what I expected.'

'I also have a new title.'

-Radroach killer. You have slain 10 Radroaches. 10% increase damage and exp gained when killing Radroaches. Kill 50 more Radroaches to evolve the title to the next stage. 2/50.

'So titles give special effects?. It's not bad at all.'

As I was about to exit my Info page I noticed something else. My eyes narrowed as I read it.

'It seems my bloodthirst has increased after achieving my first kill. I hope that's a good thing.

I closed my page.

Looking down there was a Roach nibbling on my leg.

'I didn't even see that one.

*Splat*

*Sigh*

'I wonder if this town is only full of Riches… That would be for the best. But fighting something else wouldn't be bad either.

Once again, I quickly but quietly continued moving alongside the houses and buildings. There was a large amount of debris and trash on the ground. I stepped on glass yet I ignored it. Glass wasn't enough to hurt me. Although the cracking noises were undesirable, complaining about it doesn't help.

Or rather it did, in a sense. But not the way I was hoping. More and more Radroaches started popping up and rushing towards me. I crushed each and every single one of them without hesitation. Eventually I received another level up. I was happy but at the same time, a bit annoyed. It seems I was worried about nothing. The town was filled with nothing but weak enemies.

*Rrrrcreeeee*

The moment the thought passed a deep screech was heard behind me. It was close.

Turning around I was met with something I didn't expect. A giant rat. It was hairless. Looked sick and was covered in old scars. Above it floated a red name.

-Elite Mutated Feral Rat. Lv20-

Rising up.. It sniffed the air. Why I wasn't sure.

*scree*

'It wasn't going to attack?'

For a moment I entertained the thought. But just after it sniffed the air it looked in my direction and before I could think the monster rat sprinted towards me… Like a ram. The sudden action surprised me. I tried to move my body out of the way but the suddenness of the battle startled me and my reaction was a bit too slow… I was definitely faster but I was caught off guard.

The body of the Giant rat collided with me and I was actually sent flying out of the alleyway. My body tumbled across the ground briefly before stopping.

-30 HP.

I winced.

It was actually stung. I took a whole 30 damage. It wasn't much when compared to my total HP, but 18 more or so of those and I would die.

Now I was angry.

'That rat.'

Quickly I rolled to my feet and prepared myself for the rat I assumed would charge at me… But something strange happened.

Narrowing my eyes.

'What's it up to?'

Once again the rat began sniffing around the area.

'The fog… Can it not see me?'

The moment the idea appeared in my head the rat once again charged me.

It tried ramming into me again but I was prepared this time and managed to sidestep it like a bull and Conquistador. Thinking quickly, I activated the skill, Tail Whip and my barbed tail slashed across its face.

*Screeee!!!*

The hit landed and the rat fell back withering on the ground in pain. The hit undoubtedly did a lot of damage. But it was still alive. Not missing the opportunity I rushed over and grabbed the rat by the neck.

*Tear*

I felt the skill activate and my fingers sunk into its flesh. Immediately it began wildly thrashing around in an attempt to escape. But I wouldn't allow that. I pulled and a large chunk of flesh was ripped out of its throat. Such an attack would definitely kill it.

Flopping back and forth the rat tried to breathe, but no air could go to its lungs, Only blood. After about 15 seconds it's consciousness faded.

Standing over the corpse of the Giant Rat I just stared at it for a bit. It was quite weak and died so quickly. Yet It was an Elite monster. I thought a tough battle was about to occur but It only took two attacks to kill it. Though, the last attack was a bit overkill and my luck may have played a role.

If my previous attack didn't stun it, It may have been a tougher battle. And when I killed it like that? What was that?

'Without realizing it, my body just…. Subconsciously acted and ripped its throat out. I don;t even care after killing it in such a cruel and brutal way. Is it my instinct?'

*Screee*

Suddenly another screech was heard interrupting my thoughts. Then, I heard another and another.

'It seems more are coming. I should prepare myself.'
