The Truth

"It's your mommy talking to you, my little one... I have a lot to share with you, but unfortunately, our time is up. Please do not forget that we adore you and that you are the source of our pride and legacy..." It was Alexander's mother, smiling through her tears as she held her son.

The screen then transitions to another individual.

"Alexander... I wished for your survival, my dear son. Because this battle is not even close to ending, You have no choice but to round up your archangel because the Dark Knight is coming after you. They will not give up their pursuit of your power until they have achieved it. Because-"

After a group of adversaries suddenly appeared and attacked them, Alexander's father did not finish his explanation. Then they watch the battle in the video just before the hologram deactivates.

"I'm sorry, son..." Ana mumbles as she watches Alexander's devastation.

"Who is searching for me? Have you thought about it? And do you have any new information about what's happening in our world?" Alexander asked Nerissa.

"I have no way of communicating with our world; all you have to do is find the other archangel." Nerissa responds, "Perhaps one of them knows what we should do."

"Maybe you should get some rest first., son... You've reached your limit as a result of what happened tonight... Nerissa, It would be best if you stayed here; our home has a spare room that you are more than welcome to use." Ana suggested

Alexander gestured and nodded. So, everyone was able to get out of the barn. On the other hand, Benjamin did not enter the house and bid him farewell since it was already late.

While Alexander and Javier had an intense conversation, Nerissa was accompanied by Ana as they made their way to the guest room.

"How are you feeling right now, son? I understand how difficult the information you have obtained has been for you." Javier consoled his son by lightly tapping him on the shoulder and assuring him that everything would be fine.

Alexander smiled bitterly. "I was aware that I was different from the other kids, but I had no idea that I was from a completely different planet... As if things couldn't get any worse, my parents died, and the planet where I was born was attacked..."

"You're just like everyone else, son. There is no rhyme or reason why you outperform the other children. "Javier went into greater depth.

"Nerissa helped me with the tryout the first time I did it. When I first felt my power, I was terrified of what else I could do with it. What if I ended up being a bad person?" Alexander asked the question while trembling in terror.

"That will never happen to you because your mother and I worked hard to raise you in a righteous and godly manner. And if you ask me after seeing your parents, I'll tell you they're wonderful people..." Javier responded confidently.

"Dad, I want to thank you for your trust; it's a blessing that both you and Mom found me." Alexander extended his arms to embrace his father but refused to talk about his birth parents.

"Son, you are not at fault; we are fortunate to have found you. However, I have a request: please do not abuse your power, especially on many people. Because those who see it may become terrified as a result." Javier said.

"Yes, I'm listening to you. You say that people often have irrational fears of things they don't understand. Don't worry. I will never use it." Alexander raised his hand.

Ana dabbed away the tears running down her cheek to stop them from falling. She has been eavesdropping on the conversation that is taking place between the father and the son. After hearing everything, she decided to remain in the room.

Ana took Alexander's clothes when they found him.

She reached out and gently touched the baby clothes as she pondered the days gone by.

Alexander and Nerissa decided to practice before going to school so that he could learn how to use his power. Nerissa knocked on Alexander's door while it was still dark.

——-

Nerissa traveled to the large land to initiate Alexander's training.

"As I've mentioned, each of your archangels possesses special powers. And mine is tied to the element of fire. As you can see, I am competent in managing any kind of fire." Nerissa expounded on the matter as she let go of the fire held in her hand.

Alexander looked at his hand carefully. "Me? What's my strength?" He questioned while attempting to loosen his hold on the flames. However, he was let down because there was no smoke coming out.

"Honestly? I'm not sure what your power is, but you can access all the elements as a prince. Basically, you just have to give your archangel a charge." Nerissa explained as she approached Alexander. Her fiery hand came close to brushing against his shoulder.

When Alexander's body caught fire, he was terrified, but his fear was quickly put to rest when he realized he couldn't feel the pain or the burning.

"Nature is the source of your power. That is a distinguishing quality about you." Nerissa went into further detail.

Alexander pauses for a moment. "The foe that resides on our planet, the one that my father refers to as Dark Knight, what are they capable of?" He questioned while simultaneously working to bring the fire within his body under control.

Nerissa responded, "I'm not sure, but I'm sure they have a superpower like us."

Because it was a weekday, Alexander's training with Nerissa came to an end when the sun came up. They entered the house at the same time so that they could get ready for school.

When they walked in, they were greeted by Alexander's mother, who was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for the family while Alexander's father was reading the newspaper.

"Son, take a look at this," Javier said, pointing to a newspaper article about a giant meteor falling to Earth.

As Nerissa looked at the picture in the newspaper, she made a wild guess and said, "It could be the Black Knight riding that meteor."

Alexander's mother interjected, "Or it could just be a regular meteor," after which she took the newspaper from them and commanded them to sit down so they could start eating. Before eating, they looked at each other briefly but did not speak.

"Guys, good morning!" Benjamin said as he sat down at the table to join the meal as if they all lived together.

As Ana handed Benjamin the plate, Benjamin expressed his gratitude to Ana by saying, "Thank you."

—————

After finishing their meal, they all walked out of the house...

"Alexander, we must locate your other archangel as soon as possible... I do not doubt that the Black Knight travels on the enormous meteor!" Nerissa makes a serious remark.

"I can be of assistance to you in that regard. After doing some research the other night, I learned that a meteorite fell to Earth in the Cambridge area approximately 16 years ago." Benjamin announced with a smug grin as she pulled out his notebook.

"And it landed at the Daza couple's house and another thing... I discovered that when the couple came out the day the meteor fell, they were carrying a baby, but what surprised me was that they had no child!" He went on further.

"That's great; you're also useful!" Nerissa quickly walked away.

"What are your plans?" Alexander asked as Nerissa walked past the bus stop without stopping.

We'll look for one of your archangels right now! After giving her response, Nerissa continued on her walk.

Benjamin hurriedly took his place behind them. Alexander, still in a state of shock, hears him exclaim, "Let's go!" Because he had no other option, he had to follow the two.

Alexander mumbled to his mother in a hushed tone, "Please forgive me, mother," as this was his first time cutting classes. As they were leaving the countryside, they got a lucky break when an old man heading into town picked them up and brought them with him.

—————

They traveled to Cambridge via public transportation as soon as they arrived in town... They were so engrossed in what they were doing that they had completely missed Dylan, who was sitting in his car and staring at them the whole time. He pursued them by following the bus that they were riding in.

Dylan patiently followed the bus while murmuring, "Let's see what you're up to," as he waited.
