45. Gender exposed 2

Looking at the guarded expression and the series of actions Kevin was sure that the kid before him was severely traumatized by someone.

"Can I check on you now?" He softened his voice and asked.

Mo Ling gradually relaxed and the uncomfortable feeling went away slowly.

"No need. I'll be fine after a night's rest."

"Can I ask you why you fainted suddenly?" He gave up checking on the kid when he saw the firm attitude.

He at least has to give some answers to the grumpy guy next door.

Mo Ling was confused when she heard that. 

Thinking back, she was at the bus stop when Bi Yuhan came to pick her up and after that she blacked out.

"I inhaled some vapour so I felt dizzy after that." She thought for a moment and answered. She didn't want to have any medical check up.

Kevin nodded and felt that it's a simple condition. There's nothing to worry like what the kid said.

"Alright, you take some rest. I'll take my leave now." He walked out of the room after saying that.

In the study.

Bi Yuhan was sitting behind his desk and was deep in thought.

"Sir." Wolf stood straight while waiting for his punishment.

"Speak."

"Sir?" He got confused when the expected punishment didn't come.

"What happened inside that factory? How did it explode?" Bi Yuhan shot Wolf a cold glance and asked in his deep voice.

Wolf shivered when he locked eyes with his boss. Today he felt that his boss is more dangerous than any other day.

"Someone turned off the surveillance cameras almost at the same time when we got there. So there's no chance to get something out of it."

"What about the CCTV on the surrounding roads leading to the capital?"

"Some were working but the footage got damaged after the explosion. We're trying to retrieve them currently."

Bi Yuhan knew that it involved Mo Ling or whatever the boy did at the chemical factory. So he contemplated whether to get involved or not.

Right now, it's best to keep his distance from the boy. That too when he has impure thoughts about him.

'knock..'

"Wait for my orders."

Wolf took his leave and came out of the study room. He came face to face with Kevin. He then nodded slightly as a greeting and left directly.

Kevin opened the door and walked in. When he saw Bi Yuhan's unpleasant expression he knew that he needed to be careful with his words. Otherwise he'll definitely be sent to hell.

He prayed for himself inside his heart and sat opposite his friend.

"The kid woke up.." Bi Yuhan looked up when he heard that the boy was awake.

He wondered if the kid remembered his actions just before he blacked out.

He felt guilty and nervous at the same time while thinking that.

Kevin looked at his expression and continued carefully..

"And the kid didn't let me do the check up." He had a guess why the kid refused the check up. An amused look flashed past his face for a moment.

'Well, I just need to observe a little more to make sure that he didn't guess wrongly.'
