Chapter 28: Maria vs Olivia Phase Zero
Today is the day everything is decided. The feud between me and Olivia ends today.
I trained like crazy for 3 days and learned how to use two magic circles. On the last day I took the day off to snuggle with Smokey.
When I woke up, everything seemed so…tense. As if the world itself is holding its breath, anticipating the outcome of the day.
I eat, get dressed, and walk out with Smokey behind me.
“You’re ready?”
At my door is Alymar. Can’t help but be a bit disappointed that it isn’t Aren.
“Ha, I know that look well. Don’t worry, Aren will be there. Sort of.”
“What do you mean?”
“You’ll see. Come on, everyone is waiting.”
“Really? I just woke up, did they sleep at…wherever this will happen.”
“You know what they say, if you’re on time then you’re late.”
“Of course you have that saying. Whatever, let’s get this done.”
“As you say, princess.”
“That’s…weird coming from you.”
He shrugs.
