Chaotic First Day at Academy (5)

The classroom was enormous, With enough space for approximately 70 students, Adam was surprised to see a diverse array of species, most of them had formed groups in various corners. There were some groups of different species sitting together, creating a lively atmosphere. Among them, humans only occupied fewer spots since there were only around 7 to 8, sitting in small sections towards the back.

Standing in the middle, Adam scanned the whole room and felt multiple gazes upon him. Many of them lasted for a few seconds as they lost interest quickly, while others held curiosity and a hint of mockery. 'Interesting,' he thought, but a sudden chill from behind made him turn around, finding no one however Adam's senses hinted at an unseen presence, leaving him puzzled soon he gave up as he was unable to find anything and looked out for a seat.

\[Ring~\] A bell echoed through the room, prompting every student to swiftly take their seats, becoming attentive. Adam was left surprised and confused by the unexpected loud bell.

Suddenly, he felt a touch on his shoulder. "Ahh!!" Startled, Adam turned around, instinctively striking him with a punch.

"smack," a resonant sound echoed through the room as a hand effortlessly caught his punch. "Oh! Quite a sprightly kid you are. Such a light punch, what a waste," the mysterious figure said, scanning Adam with a disappointed look.

'What in the name of freaking hell is he!!?' Adam's instincts screamed as he faced the enigmatic figure, feeling as if he stood in front of literal death, his lungs refusing to let him breathe.

"Haha! You're quite sharp to sense me, especially someone like you with no mana or no experience can detect my hidden bloodlust," the figure laughed, and as the bloodlust dissipated, Adam finally managed to catch his breath.

"H-ha..ha..ha!" Panting, he fell to his knees. "Wh-who...a-are...y-you?" he asked, gasping for breath in horror.

"Me? I am your class teacher Mortis Vale, ranked 78 in your physical instructor; you should call me Professor Mortis," he introduced himself, causing an uproar in the class.

"It's him, the 'war death' No way!!" many students were in shock as they recognized him.

"Oh, this year we are going to die in training with him being our professor" Many were scared of him.

However, poor Adam, who was finally able to breathe properly, had a dumbfounded look at 'War death?' A bald guy with red eyes similar to blood, sensing my gaze gave me a crazy smile.

Standing up, I heard some mocking from others. "What a loser trying to haha!"

"Loser, you say? Unlike many worthless ones, he can sense my presence; you are pathetic," Professor Mortis replied to those remarks, causing others to shut up and lower their heads in embarrassment.

"And you," pointing toward me, "Get yourself together; just a small hidden bloodlust and you nearly pissed yourself. What a weakling class."

He scanned through the whole class, pausing over a few students. "Interesting, there are others who not only sensed me but were able to see me properly."

"Uhmm," he paused, and soon he started to point them out as he grabbed Adam's shoulder, not letting him move. "You all stand up and introduce yourselves."

A boy with blue tentacle-like hair and blue eyes stood up. "My name is Marcellus Inktail, a low-ranked species called Maritentacles," he introduced himself as he fixed his optical glass and sat down.

Next was a boy with red fuzzy hair, red skin, and ears on his head. "My name is Talon Wildfur, a low-ranked species, a half-blooded Crimson Coifed Kin." introduced himself with an excited tone.

Then, a girl with red hair, four arms, and two red eyes introduced herself. "My name is Matilda Geno, a hybrid, making me a low-ranked species."

A chubby boy with white hair and white fur all over his body introduced himself with an adorable voice. "I am Frostfiend Divara, a ranked species, and my name is Felix Quake."

Next, a boy with black hair and little black fur on his body, with a weird beast vibe around him, introduced himself. "My name is Noir Panthera." he paused as he gulped. "I am a demi-beast, an inferior race." The whole class was shocked, and an uproar ensued.

"Silent," a heavy voice shut everyone's mouth. "Well done Noir Panthera Continue."

A girl with green branch hair stood up; Adam was shocked, 'It's her, the one with that jerk on the bus.'

"Hump! My name is Kai Sullivan, a ranked species, Silvans," she introduced herself with an arrogant tone.

Soon, a bulky teen with rocky-like skin stood up with a heavy voice. He introduced himself, "I am Peter Lodestone; we are called Gorgoliths."

The next one was a girl with black and white combined hair and a weird all-black eye. Her face turned red as she introduced herself with a shy voice. "M..my n..name is Luna Umbra. I...I am Lunarian..." Unable to talk further, she sat down, hiding her face. There was some voice calling her cute.

At last, the girl with silver hair stood up. However, Adam sensed something off from her aura. 'Why do I sense something different?'

"My name is Selene Valkyrie, a demi-human," she introduced herself with a sweet and elegant voice. Unlike Noir Panthera, no one tried to object to her.

I suddenly felt a professor's gaze over me and understood his gaze. "My name is Adam, a human."

No one threw an uproar this time again, but their gazes were filled with hate and mockery.

"Not bad! You all have potential," as he clapped his hands appreciating us. "As a reward for sensing me, you all get 50 credit points, but you, Adam, get 25 credit points."

"What? Why only 25?" I asked.

"Because your punch was pathetic; it was like a baby's punch," he replied.

'What! Not only did you foil my plan to be extra by making me introduce myself in the front, made me the greatest bully target, but now you are giving me half the reward. Screw you,' I cursed him in my mind.

"Now go and sit in your seat," he ordered.
