Chapter 546-The 4 Guardians

Chapter 546

Cassapa continued, his face showing a flicker of past memories. "I met some of them in the past, and they were all terrifying beings."

"Young man, you also have a familiar aura in you," Cassapa said.

The four kings were not offended by being ignored; instead, they were shocked that the guardian, who rarely spoke even to the ancestors, addressed Dave directly.

Dave was taken aback, then remembered his encounter with the Goddess of Life in the Tower of Trials, where he had won a treasure from her.

"I met your goddess before," he replied.

Cassapa's eyes widened slightly. "You met the Goddess of Life? Tell me more."

Dave nodded. "I encountered the Goddess of Life by luck. During our meeting, I got a treasure from her. Perhaps this is why you sense a familiar aura."

Cassapa's expression softened slightly. "The Goddess of Life is our supreme deity. If you have truly met her and carry her blessing, it is a matter of great importance."

The other three guardians, sensing the conversation, appeared one by one, their formidable presence filling the area.

Each one exuded an aura on par with Cassapa, making it clear they were also peak Celestial Immortals.

The first was a beautiful elven woman with long pink hair, a rare and striking sight.

Dave couldn't help but marvel at her ethereal beauty.

Her eyes were deep and wise, carrying the weight of ages. She was Mona, the Guardian of the Elf Clan.

Next to Mona was a short, stout figure, clearly belonging to the dwarf tribe. Despite his stature, he exuded a palpable aura of power and resilience.

Yet, his demeanor was somewhat fearful, and he kept close behind another guardian. This was Koratno, the Guardian of the Dwarf Clan.

Standing calmly in front of Koratno was a handsome man with beautiful, iridescent wings.

His serene expression and composed demeanor spoke of great inner strength and tranquility. He was Arthur, the Guardian of the Fairy Clan.

All four guardians, including Cassapa, who had met them at the gate, were once at the peak of their powers.

However, as the Lake of Fate weakened, they sacrificed much of their strength to maintain the stability of their realm.

Their power had regressed over time, but none of them regretted their decision.

The Fairy King, sensing the gravity of the situation, stepped forward. "Guardians, this is Lord Dave. He wishes to enter the Lake of Fate. We have brought him here by the order of the Alchemy Emperor."

The Druid King also bowed. "That's right guardians, Lord Dave is here for the Lake of Fate," he explained, detailing how Dave's subordinate helped fend off the insect race and that the Alchemy Emperor, now a subordinate of Dave, had returned.

The words of the Fairy King and the Druid King, revealing Dave's connection to the Alchemy Emperor and his recent deeds, stunned the four guardians.

A heavy silence fell over the place, only broken by the subtle hum of mystical energies surrounding the Lake of Fate.

The guardians spread their consciousness across the plane, swiftly gathering information and confirming the presence of Eldrich.

As they did, their attitudes shifted noticeably.

The arrogance that had initially marked Cassapa's demeanor vanished, replaced by a newfound humility.

The other three guardians—Mona, Koratno, and Arthur—also adopted a more respectful and humble approach.

Mona was the first to speak, her voice gentle and reverent. "We apologize for our earlier demeanor, Lord Dave. It seems we have underestimated the depth of your connection to our realm."

Koratno, still wary but respectful, added, "Your deeds and the presence of the Alchemy Emperor have reassured us. We welcome you and your companions to the Lake of Fate."

Arthur, maintaining his calm and composed demeanor, nodded in agreement.

"We are at your service. Please, proceed with whatever you need to do here. We trust in your intentions and your respect for our sacred space."

Cassapa was visibly shocked but kept his composure.

Internally, he cursed, 'Fvck, that old Foggie is back. He would tease me again for sure.'

Cassapa had initially planned to reject Dave's request, but the mention of the Alchemy Emperor made him reconsider.

"Okay, you may go, but don't damage the Lake of Fate," Cassapa said gravely.

With a wave of his hand, the massive gate opened, and a refreshing breeze washed over them, making them feel lighter.

Dave had anticipated resistance from Cassapa and had informed the four kings that if Cassapa refused, Eldrich would personally intervene.

Dave didn't understand the full extent of Cassapa's fear of Eldrich but was glad he didn't have to use force.

"Goodbye, Guardian Cassapa" Dave said, smiling as the four kings and the other 3 guardians led him towards the Lake of Fate.

After they left, Cassapa sighed in relief, sweating heavily. He muttered, "Fvck, if I had declined, Emperor Eldrich would have spread those words to everyone."

He cursed again, knowing that Eldrich held the biggest shame of his life over him, ensuring his compliance.

On the other hand, Mona was excited and cheerful.

"I knew it! The emperor is alive. How could he die easily from demons? But his strength was weakened, so he must have used a forbidden technique to revive himself."

Mona was a die-hard fan of the Alchemy Emperor and wanted to leave this place to visit him, but knowing that she swore to protect this place, she restrained herself.

The dwarf guardian, on the other hand, was like Cassapa, becoming more fearful and looking timid.

Meanwhile, the Fairy Guardian smiled and was happy that one of their emperors was back.

Mona, Koratno, and Arthur led Dave and his companions toward the Lake of Fate. The air grew denser with mystical energy as they approached, and the lake itself shimmered with a radiant, almost otherworldly light.

Dave could feel the intense pull, a calling from the lake that seemed to resonate with his very being.

"Proceed, Lord Dave," Mona said, her tone respectful but firm. "But remember, the Lake of Fate is not to be taken lightly. It holds the destinies of many within its waters."

Dave nodded, stepping forward with his companions at his side.
