Chapter 447-Dave's Proposal
… … ... … … ….
As Dave walked through the streets, an elderly man, clearly a Divine Monarch, approached him.
Dave never concealed his presence from anyone, and only people with strong cultivation could sense him.
He seemed as though he blended with the surroundings, and if he chose to conceal his aura, not even a Divine Emperor would be able to detect him.
Dave was even mightier than a Divine Monarch and could potentially challenge a Divine Emperor, all thanks to his superior chaos heart, unparalleled in the universe.
As long as Dave unlocked all the chaos items in the main shop, he would undoubtedly fearlessly explore the celestial plane.
Dave had learned from Aby that this world resided on the border between the celestial plane and the Immortal Plane.
As for how this was possible, Yggdrasil had not explained it to him.
Yggdrasil was undoubtedly powerful, but her mysterious nature made it impossible for him to see through her.
.....
Dave showed no concern about revealing himself, as no one in this place posed a threat to him.
"Lord, may I know where you came from? These old eyes cannot recognize your face," the elderly man inquired.
"I've lived a long time, and I've never seen anyone as strong and young as you in our Human Clan."
Dave casually scanned the old man, unperturbed by his presence, and displayed no fluctuations in his powers.
He observed that the old man was also hidden from everyone else, and only Dave could perceive him.
Despite appearing fragile and aged, the old man was undeniably formidable.
Although he only stood about as tall as Dave's shoulders, his aura was unyielding, and he remained cautious but unafraid in Dave's presence.
The man had white hair, but his power could terrify others if he didn't limit it.
He was at the peak of Divine Monarch and seemed highly wary of Dave. He refrained from attacking because Dave showed no power fluctuations.
Given his cultivation, if he couldn't discern others, there were only three possible explanations.
Either they lacked cultivation, possessed a treasure to conceal their aura, or, most likely, they were significantly more powerful than him.
"Oh, someone noticed me, huh? So, are you one of the protectors of the human race here?"
Dave scanned the old man without regard for his feelings, as he feared no one, not even a Peak Divine Monarch.
The old man noticed Dave's lack of respect but refrained from attacking, becoming even more cautious.
"Friend, please answer my question."
"For the safety of my clan, please cooperate," he urged.
"Yes, I am one of the protectors of the human clan, and my last name is Fu," the man named Fu respectfully introduced himself.
Dave was amazed at how the old man remained composed and didn't easily succumb to provocation.
Dave smiled and replied, "Hehe, don't worry, I'm not an enemy. You can call me a traveler passing through this world."
Fu was taken aback by his words. "You mean you're not from this world?" He hadn't expected to encounter someone from elsewhere.
Dave nodded, still smiling. "Yes, I was just here for a vacation and will leave when I get bored."
Dave was lying, but he didn't want to reveal his true plans, as he didn't trust them. He understood how scheming humans could be, and he suspected that the five protectors weren't united.
Fu's breathing quickened, and he had no doubts about Dave's origins.
Their Human Race had only one place they considered their foothold and seeing that Dave was a human as well meant he truly came from outside.
Excitedly, Fu asked, "Lord, can you help us leave this place? I know it's a big request, but I can't bear to see more of my clan's deaths at the hands of monsters."
Fu bowed to Dave, his old face filled with hope, waiting for Dave's response.
Dave gazed at him emotionlessly and asked, "What can I gain from helping you?"
Words did not easily sway Dave; he needed to see sincerity.
Fu knew it was not easy to ask for a favor, and he felt that Dave was not lying because he didn't need to lie to him.
Dave's power was enough to make him feel like he was facing the four overlords who were the exception to the rule of this world and became a Divine Emperor, so their sovereignty was not challenged.
"I don't know what the Lord wants, but you can request something that I hope I can give to you."
Fu said in desperation, and he only wanted to leave this place and go back to their homeland.
Dave saw his sincerity, so he thought for a while, then said, "Well, give me all your treasures and blessings your clan has, and I can help you all leave this place safely."
Dave had planned to subdue one of the overlords and letting them enter the summoning altar was an easy thing for him.
Fu was stunned, and he didn't know how to answer him.
"What you can't?"
Dave looked at him, and Fu shook his head and said, "Lord, I cannot make a decision about it, so I still need to talk with the other protectors."
"You can attend the event later that we will have, and I will give you the answers after I talk with them."
Dave smiled and nodded, and he didn't care whether they agreed or not, as it was not their loss, as he could still acquire many blessings on his own.
He knew that this place had acquired so many blessings due to its long history and they might have some treasures and he was planning to extort all of them.
They are now faced with a dilemma, whether they give all their wealth for their freedom or not.
He was not in a rush, and he decided to enjoy his time travelling in this place and see something interesting.
