Chapter 7 - I fight A Larger Than Life Sea Monster

After one month of training with my water powers, I made the decision to go to the bottom of the ocean to gain the sea's allegiance. 

As I stepped into the ocean, what I first realized was I was immune to cold as the seas and oceans in Alaska are cold, I instantly felt energized like I could 30km in 1 hour and that was an understatement.

As I swimming to the bottom of the ocean fishes and sea monsters alike were greeting me saying, 

milord 

master 

lord, etc.

I sure as hell did miss those voices.

I swam and swam passing by countless schools of fish, feeding sea monsters till I got to the bottom of the ocean.

When I got there, a sea monster twice the size of the Empire State Building and more swam out of a massive underground cave and swam over to me. It had the head of a shark and the body of a giant squid, I recognized it as a Megalodon. Apparently, when Pontus and Hydros gave me their powers, I could identify any type of sea monster or creature.

Knowing the name of a creature and seeing it in real life are two entirely different things. It was scary asf, the size, the beauty in its ugliness, the countless tentacles wriggling behind the shark head, I widened my eyes to the extreme and swallowed in fear.

I had to fight this? 

"What are you doing here? How are you here? How can you breathe? Are you a son of Poseidon? Wh-", it shot questions rapidly like a machine gun until I cut it off.

The questions were like bullets piercing into my head.

"Woah! Calm down buddy, I'm not going anywhere, who are you", I asked.

"I am Megalon, the king of sea monsters. Who are you to trespass on my territory, speak or I'll eat you", it said. I rolled my eyes, typical of monsters, all they knew was food.

Wait! King of sea monsters? 

Don't tell me this was the guardian?

I had to fight this?

I still had a secret weapon though, Bravado and talk-no-jutsu.

Bravado + talk-no-jutsu = Bravado-no-jutsu.

"I am Percy Jackson, the successor of Pontus, Hydros, and Pagoma, bow down and I will not smite you", I said with as much bravado as I could muster, I expected him to bow, I didn't expect the laughter.

"I have to admit you are brave but I can practically smell the fear coming off you in waves, tell you, we will fight if you win, I will swear my allegiance to the new sea primordial", he said, chuckling. 

I had never backed down from a fight and I wouldn't now, excuse the me back then.

"Bring on, Megablowjob", I said laughing at my dirty joke. 

I could literally see the question marks above his head.

"My name is Megalon", he growled, "so shall it be".

For a gigantic monster, he sure swam fast, he was in front of me in seconds, his gigantic mouth opened wide. When I saw the gigantic serrated teeth, I realized fighting a sea monster without a weapon was a big mistake on my part.

Snap! The sound of his jaws clasping tight. Sadly for him though, my agility on land and in the sea were entirely different. I had already swum out of his mouth's range.

I solidified water into a sword so I could use it as a weapon but the effectiveness of elementally created weapons could not be compared to Celestial Bronze or Imperial Gold weapons. The water sword only left thin marks on its skin which were already covered up. 

Then suddenly, I was entwined tightly among his tentacles to the extent that I found it really hard to break free even with my newly gained strength.

He stretched his tentacles all the way to his mouth and threw me into his mouth.

Wheee! Just kidding I was mad asf.

I hurriedly created a spike I used to hook myself unto his tongue so as not to fall into his stomach.

There I stood on a gigantic tongue, feeling mad at my weakness, mad at myself, mad and shamed for the primordials that saved me from my miserable life, all my hatred, pain, anger, and sadness, I let it out through a scream. 

Dude, that scream was loud asf.

As I forsook my negative feelings, I felt power flowing through me, I opened my eyes and clenched my fists and suddenly in the water in the mouth, a beautiful trident materialized right in front of me, it was glowing and had sea-green swirls coiling around it, as I held it, I felt the power of the oceans and seas thrumming through it, it was made of chaotic silver. 

I let out a roar and stabbed Megalon right on his big tongue, I could feel him screaming, the wind blowing through his mouth as he let out a scream, immediately he opened his mouth, I swam with as much speed as I could muster out of his mouth and stood in front of him.

If sharks could widen their eyes, then Mega's eyes were widened right now as he saw me with the trident. I could feel his fear, his greed for the trident, his joy at seeing the trident.

"The trident of Pontus has given you allegiance, meaning you are truly the primordial of the seas, well it doesn't mean I can't still defeat you," he said.

"As you wish", I told him as I sped towards him, he obviously wasn't expecting me to be suicidal, as he wasn't ready for my charge. 

I used my unlocked powers over water to propel myself at incredible speeds, I plunged the trident into his eye and swam back, I could vaguely hear him screaming at the back of my back.

I swam again, plunging the trident into his side and swimming as I dragged it, his blood dyeing the water red, I weaved through the thrashing tentacles that were thrashing from the pain, slashing and cutting some of them off. 

He was still defiant, so I twirled rapidly with the trident pointed in front of me, as I twirled I created sharp blades of water around me as I drilled a large hole from a side to the other making the water redder. 

The next five minutes were a sequence of stabs and slices on every part of his body, his eyes, tentacles, when I was done with him, he looked like he had gone through a super large blender.

"I gotta say Mega you look like you've seen better days, do you accept me as your King," I said, laughing.

If large shark-squid hybrids could bow, then he definitely did. 

"Yes, milord! No more, please, no more!", he cried.

Then he shouted,

"All hail, Our Lord, Perseus Jackson, the primordial god of the seas and God of us seas monsters". He announced in a loud voice.

Then all sea monsters and deep water sea creatures converged at the bottom of the ocean shouting, 

"Long live the King!". 

I was already feeling uncomfortable as I never liked people or in this case fishes and sea monsters, I think Megalon saw me feeling uncomfortable so he quickly sent them away.

"My lord, Lord Pontus once told me that when he fades that I should train his successor, so let say I'm your new trainer till you're ready, it's going to be really brutal" he said sounding excited that he was going to cause me pain. 

"I look forward to training with you, hope you get the sarcasm", I said while rolling my eyes and swimming away, I could practically hear him cursing me in my head. 

I left the water and went back to the hotel feeling extremely cold but it doesn't affect water at any temperature doesn't affect me and went to my room feeling very tired.

Percy's Thought:

So much for bravado-no-jutsu, I should have used talk-no-jutsu alone.

Megalon:

Ah-ha! Take that, you puny excuse for a primordial, Question Bullet Attack!
