Chapter 35: Setting up a camp

The head of the beast would be now falling from its neck. Then Henry's vision started to return to normal.

"You are dead," Henry said.

As Henry's vision returned to normal then he saw a head falling to the ground. Blood would be spilling out from the neck of the beast like a fountain of water.

Seeing this Henry knew that the beast has died. Another thing confirmed his guess.

Henry read the line of words and nodded his head in approval.

"The beast has died now I should continue my journey to the sect, "Henry thought to himself.

After that, he continued to run towards the sect for the next few hours.

A few hours would have passed by since Henry had killed the beast. He would be a quiet distance away from the place where he killed the beasts.

It started to get dark with each passing second so Henry stopped and look at the sky for the next few seconds before he would mumble.

"It's getting dark. I should settle down somewhere since it won't be a good idea to continue my journey in the dark since beasts can take advantage of the dark and attack me."Henry thought to himself

Henry started to look for any beast in sight. He continued this for the next few minutes.

After that, he won't see any beast nearby.

"Now I should look for an open place," Henry thought to himself.

He started to jump from one tree to the other in search of an open place. He looked for the next few minutes and then he found it.

"Found it, "Henry thought to himself as he looked at the area in front of him.

A place that would be completely devoid of any trees or boulders or rocks would be in the middle of the forest.

"This looks like a good place to set up a temporary camp for the night"Henry mumbled softly.

He landed on the land in front of him however he remembered something.

"Oh wait I will have to check the area around this place for any beast just to be safe, "Henry thought to himself.

He climbed up to the nearby tree and would jump from one tree to the other while scanning for any beast.

Henry spotted some weaker beasts but he killed them without even blinking even once.

An hour later he returned to the place where is going to set up his camp.

"There isn't any strong beast anyway here as for the weaker beasts I have already killed them so I can set up the calm safely, "Henry thought to himself.

After that, he began to gather wood for a bonfire that would keep him warm in the middle of the night.

Henry would continue to gather it for the next few minutes. Henry returned with a lot of wood.

"Time to set up the bonfire"Henry mumbled softly.

He would set up the bonfire in a matter of minutes. Henry flicked his wrist and then a bottle with green liquid would appeared on his palms.

"Time to pour a little bit of this liquid on the bonfire. If I were to pour this liquid into the fire then it will keep weaker beasts away from the fire.

Since they wouldn't be able to handle the strong scent of this liquid," Henry exclaimed softly.

Henry would uncork the cover of the bottle then a strong scent spread through the entire place.

Henry poured a little bit of this liquid into the fire when the flame will make contact with this liquid.

The flames started to burn even more furiously and a strong scent spread around the entire place.

The flames started to release a little bit of green light from it.

The scent would be really strong so strong that it caused Henry to sneeze.

"Now I have to make some traps around the entire place," Henry thought to himself.

Henry then walked around the entire place and would set up different traps in different directions that would alert him.

After a few minutes later he would be done setting up all the traps then he returned to his camp.

He would sit in front of the bonfire. He flicked his wrist and then a beast core appeared on his hand.

"I am not going to sleep the night through. I will have to make full use of my time since I am a cultivator. I need very little sleep.

Just 30 minutes a day will do as for the rest of the time I will cultivate"Henry thought to himself

He began to remember his cultivation technique and then he began to absorb both earth and normal spiritual energy from the core.

The earth and normal spiritual energy would be sucked out of the core like a vortex. The speed of absorption would be so fast that it caused a tornado of spiritual energy from inside his body.

Henry tried to direct both Earth and Normal spiritual energy into his core.

The two kinds of spiritual energy rushed his core and made the core more stable and stronger.

Also when the two spiritual energies entered his core then the two spiritual energies combined and formed a golden spiritual energy.

This golden spiritual energy would be much stronger than the two spiritual energies. It would be at least 30 times stronger and purer.

Also, the earth's spiritual energy destroyed his muscles, fibers, and bones then it repairs itself which will make them stronger than before to improve the body cultivation of Henry

"Cultivating with this technique is painful, probably the most painful thing in the world

However, I know that it will be worth it because after every single cultivation session, I feel much stronger than before."Henry thought to himself as he tried to tolerate the pain of cultivating.

The same process would keep repeating as he cultivated his muscle fibers and bones broke and would be healed.

The spiritual energy made his core stronger and more stable.

A few hours of cultivating later a golden light surrounded the body of Henry as he cultivated.

The pain decreased significantly after the appearance of the golden light from his body.

The golden light kept getting brighter with each passing second for the next minute or so then the golden glow on Henry's body slowly started to fade away.

When the golden glow started to fade away Henry felt a refreshing sensation running through his body.

"The sensation is really good, however, I know that pain is waiting for me, "Henry thought to himself as he would keep cultivating.

Then another line of words appeared on his retina.

When Henry sees this message he would nod his head and smile slightly.

"I am close to breaking through but I don't know how long I will have to wait to reach the Advance Qi realm

I should check the state of my core."Henry mumbled to himself.

Henry turned his attention to his core. He closed his eyes and took a look inside his core.

"Let's see, "Henry thought to himself.

Henry's core would have turned a little bit golden in color. He has assumed that it has something to do with the golden spiritual energy.

Henry took a peek inside his core. Golden energy would be rushing in all directions.

"I see that all of my spiritual energy has turned into a golden one.

It's probably the reason that I don't feel any pain when two spiritual energies combine into one, "Henry to himself.
