Flying heads

Somewhere inside the Solana city.

"What the fuck is going on? Where are the men we sent to kill that woman and her child? Why is there no news of them? It's already fucking morning!" Nolan kicked the table in front of him and cried out loud. He was frustrated knowing that there was no news of the men he sent to assassinate Veronica and Roselyn. His entire body shivered with anxiousness as his life literally depended on it.

He didn't want to face that mysterious old man again, at least not until he gave him what he wanted. Initially, he thought it was going to be child's play to kill a helpless woman and her child in the absence of Melenia, especially since most of the soldiers were accompanying her. Without them, no one inside the city could oppose him and stop him from doing anything. This was the only chance he had to finish that woman and her child. He knew that if she returned, then there was no way he would be able to make a move under her watchful eye.

Nolan was in deep thought when he heard the sound of footsteps. Upon raising his head, he looked at the entrance of his room and saw two figures entering the hall with their heads bowed. His facial expressions changed drastically when he found that these two were the scouts he had sent to look out for the whereabouts of the missing assassins. His heart sank when he noticed their body language, both of them were shivering in their black robes, with their faces ashen as if they had witnessed something horrifying.

The duo halted their movements and looked at Nolan with fear flashing in their eyes.

"You morons, why are you sweating like pigs? Why are you shivering like this, have you seen a ghost or something?" Nolan exclaimed as he gave the two of them a furious look before approaching and grabbing them by their collars.

"Tell me, where the fuck are those assassins, did they kill that woman and her child?" He asked furiously.

Upon being berated like that, both of them exchanged glances and gulped nervously.

"Don't fuck with me, I will kill you both if you don't open your mouths," He said in a cold voice when he saw the frightened look on their faces.

"Master, there was no trace of the assassins whom you sent to kill that woman, but we found something else..." One of them broke his silence and muttered those words in a trembling voice.

Upon hearing such a reply, Nolan's face turned dark. Knowing that there was no sign of the assassins, he felt despair rising in his heart. At the same time, he was also confused as he didn't know why the two scouts looked frightened and were shivering as if they had seen a ghost or something.

"Tell me everything that you found out without leaving a single detail, otherwise I will cut up both of you and feed your bodies to the pigs," He furiously exclaimed. He seemed to have lost his mind after knowing that the assassins had disappeared out of nowhere.

Upon hearing Nolan's words, both of them nervously gulped again. This time, the other scout broke his silence.

"Master, some weird stuff is going on around that place. It was giving off an extremely creepy vibe. When we got there, we felt like someone was watching our every move. We got a sinking feeling that if we kept on approaching that hotel, we would never be able to make it back. It was like a stinging pain in our hearts which, coupled with an extreme fear that was unlike anything we experienced before, made us run away. Just as we were starting to believe that we were out of harm's way, we stumbled upon something..." The scout standing on the right side mumbled in fear, recalling the gruesome sight that he saw previously with his very own eyes. Toward the end of his statement, he choked on his words and couldn't speak any further.

"It was a giant mutated wolf, one that we had never seen before. That abomination was made of blood and rotten meat. We thought it was going to kill us but after looking at us for a few moments, it disappeared in front of our eyes," The scout on left said as he continued from where his partner left off.

"A giant wolf made of blood and rotten meat and he disappeared like a ghost..." Nolan whispered as he looked at the two scouts.

"No, it was no normal wolf, it was a creature from hell. The moment its gaze fell on me, I felt like I was stripped naked in front of it. It was staring into the depths of my soul," The other scout whispered.

After listening to their experiences, Nolan took a deep breath and let their collars loose. A few moments later, he broke into a laugh and started laughing like a maniac. Upon hearing him laugh like that, a few more soldiers came inside the hall to know what was going on there; why was their Lord laughing like a madman? In just a few minutes, more than thirty figures had gathered there and were looking at Nolan who kept on laughing and laughing, and the two scouts standing in front of him with blank expressions.

After a while, Nolan stopped laughing and calmly looked at everyone who had gathered there.

"Breaking news for everyone, these two fuckers saw a wolf made of blood and rotten meat. They claim that it disappeared like a ghost. This one idiot even claims that it was no wolf; rather, it was a creature from hell," Nolan laughingly said and looked at everyone present.

Upon hearing their Lord's words, everyone exchanged glances with each other and a moment later the entire hall broke into loud laughter as they treated this as some kind of a joke.

Swoosh!

Suddenly, every single soul who was laughing there turned silent when they saw two heads flying in the air; Nolan beheaded the two scouts with a swift movement of his sword.

"Whoever feels like laughing can come forward now, this sword of mine needs more blood!" Nolan exclaimed as he looked at everyone present there. Everyone simultaneously took a step back and no one dared to say anything.

"Prepare for the battle, we are going to end this my way. I am going to fucking kill them now, regardless of anyone, whether it's my father or that Baroness Melenia, whoever comes in my way i'll fucking kill them all. No one can stop me from killing that bitch."
