Bandits

Licht looked toward Midas and then told him that it was about time they left the Chrysler clan. Midas nodded, he did not need to pack anything because everything had already been placed in his soul space. It was quite handy having his own personal space, no hassle of carrying a backpack or even spending several gold coins just to buy a low-rank space ring. Yes, people had space rings, it was made from space ether energy but it was quite difficult to make, hence making them very expensive so only wealthy people had them as it could buy an entire clan. That was why the head of the Chrysler clan, Luke did not have a space ring.

Since Licht had the Order attribute, he also had the soul space so there was no need for a backpack either. He would even have his own personal void but that would only work when he came in contact with a space ether caster or enforcer. Licht's power of Order emulated the powers of people only after he came into contact with them. Most of the attributes he used were attributes he got from the people of Flamehaven.

Licht and Midas stepped out of their rooms and told the help stationed around their rooms to go inform the clan leader, Luke about their departure.

As they approached the gate of the clan to exit, they met Luke and his wife, Martha with Frances, Laine, and Lillian, and also a couple of clan elders and members. They all waited at the gate for Licht and Midas respectfully.

"Thank you for such a splendid stay, but this is where we take our leave," Licht said as he smiled.

"No no, Sir Licht. It was our pleasure being hosts to such a magnificent person as yourself" Luke shook his head while smiling

Frances walked up to Licht and Midas, he was carrying a huge fur backpack with him, tapped Midas on his shoulder and said "Seems like this is where we part ways, next time we see, the damage we would cause just for a spar better make mountains shake and waves to form on rivers"

Midas looked at him weirdly then laughed out loud which was quite unusual for him due to him always being so quiet except when with his master.

"Okay then, it shall be that way. I hope you do not disappoint me" Midas looked at Frances with battle in his eyes. Sparks flew between both of them before Frances turned his back and started walking in the opposite direction of where Midas was heading. Frances raised his hand for a wave as he walked with his huge backpack, he looked sort of cool like a lone ranger about to go face the world.

Laine and Lillian had already said their goodbyes to their big brother, they were also looking forward to leaving the clan for life and death experiences but their father told them before they reached blue rank they are not allowed to go for the training. So they were motivated to work hard and join their brother in the world.

Licht and Midas were both given dracohorses by Luke as a gift and to make their travels easier. They both rode away from the Chrysler clan, getting farther and farther from view till they were just dots on the horizon.

Lillian seemed to remember something and spoke "Father, did you tell them about the dead men bandits?"

Luke paused for a moment when he heard that and smiled wryly "I actually forgot, but Sir Licht is strong enough to handle those bandits. He's at least basic green rank and I heard Nordo, the leader of the bandits has been in basic green rank for a decade now with almost no chance of improvement so Sir Licht and Midas will both be fine"

Lillian nodded as she followed her father back into the clan with the other elders and members.

Licht and Midas had both been riding for 3 hours till Licht decided to use wood ether energy to create the carriage again, making it more comfortable to travel a long distance, Midas attached the reins to the dracohorses then sat at the top of the carriage.

After a couple more hours, they stopped to feed and replenish. This routine continued for 2 days and now, they were sitting in front of a fire, roasting a rabbit-like beast seasoned with some spices from the Chrysler clan.

"Master, it has been over a day. Why have we not dragged him here yet to question him?" Midas asked

"I want to see what is going to happen. He most likely already called reinforcements after seeing the horses and most likely saw us killing beasts so he is choosing to be careful." Licht answered while he bit into the legs of the rabbit. The rabbit was around the size of a big dog and it was fast.

As they chewed and ate, a group of people, over fifty were marching toward the position of Licht and Midas.

"Captain, where are we going"

"Gabe said he found two rich shmocks that are riding dracohorses reined to a carriage."

"A dracohorse? Leader would definitely be happy if he knows we got not one, but two dracohorses. He can either sell them for at least 20 gold or keep them and breed them."

"Okay, let's speed up before we lose them and get nothing"

They picked up their pace and Licht was monitoring their every move. To him, this was child's play and it would be excellent training for Midas. For him, Midas was still innocent as he had not taken a human life so this would be the perfect opportunity.

"There are about fifty bandits coming toward us, and for this one, as usual, I will not help you but you must kill every single bandit that comes except the one hiding currently" Licht spoke seriously

Midas saw the look on his master's face and nodded without hesitation. In his heart, he was nervous about killing another person but he did not want to let Licht down so he knew what he had to do.

After a couple of minutes, sounds were heard from around and fifty men were seen coming out the bushes to surround Licht and Midas. Licht just stared at them then casually floated into a tree and said "It is all up to you now"

Midas nodded.
