Am I Seeing Things?

From where they are at, Hyolyn is squinting her eyes because she saw a familiar silhouette of a man and a woman but she can't seem to determine who they are. Well, she does have an idea who it might be but she just shrugged the thought away because it is impossible.

Chlea and Vaughn were crossing the little bridge over the pond unbeknownst to them, Hyolyn is looking at them from afar.

"Babe! Babe! Are you seeing what I am seeing? Look, those people at the bridge! Aren't they Vaughn and Chlea?!" Hyolyn yelled.

Brook, who was grilling some meat looked and furrowed his eyebrows to see them clearer.

"There is no way that's them! I better have my eyes checked soon. I keep on seeing things these days." He said while going back to grilling some meat on the fire in front of them.

They made a bonfire in between and Brook grilled some meat charcoal. The meat season with salt, pepper, and other herbs is sizzling and smells really good.

Hyolyn endlessly patted Brooks's arm as she pointed at the end of the bridge, "Babe! They're getting closer, it is indeed them! What in the world is happening? Why are they holding hands?!"

Realizing it was indeed Vaughn and Chlea, Brook dropped the tong he was holding to flip the meat while Hyolyn gasped at the sight placing both of her hands to cover her wide open mouth.

"Well, maybe Chlea slipped somewhere. You know Vaughn, he has always been the epitome of chivalry." Brook said to shrug the thought away.

"You know what babe, you are absolutely right! Why did I not think of that in the first? Geez, I should be working on stopping overacting. Tsk." She replied as she went on fueling the bonfire.

"Hi, guys! Ooh~ looks like we are having meat today. It looks delicious, Brook!" Chlea chuckled.

Vaugh let go of Chlea's hand as they both did Indian seats. Chlea then warmed her hands near the bonfire. Vaughn picked up two sticks and inserted marshmallows. He then went to toast it on the fire for a few minutes and then gave the other marshmallow stick to Chlea. It is well done!

"Oh, thank you!" Chlea sweetly said to Vaughn.

Chlea took a bite, it is sort of crunchy burnt on the outside but soft on the inside.

Hyolyn and Brook turned their heads to look at each other suspiciously.

'Did I just hear Chlea use that sweet tone?' Hyolyn seems to mentally tell Brook while raising an eyebrow.

Brook nodded as if answering 'I bet she did!'

At this time, Hyolyn could certainly smell something fishy. She got some paper plates and dining utensils from the little picnic basket she brought with her. Hyolyn also got some alcohol like soju and wine inside her basket with 4 glasses for each one of them. She carefully placed all of those in the center where everyone could reach them.

Brook handed Vaughn a metallic Tupperware with meat inside, a tong, and grill. Vaughn carefully assembled the mini grilling area in front of them while sitting so they can comfortably grill while eating.

"Look at this steak cut! It has beautiful marbles." Vaughn praised.

Brook smirked, "Of course, we only choose the best, right?" He winked.

Vaughn then went on sprinkling it with some herb and spices and then grilled it.

"How would you like this to be cooked, Ma'am?" He asked fondly to Chlea.

Chlea leaned closer to him. "Medium rare, Mister." As they both laughed.

On the other hand, Hyolyn and Vaughn are staring at them suspiciously with raised eyebrows.

Brook placed the plate he was holding on the picnic mat, "Bro, I did not know you were this kind! Seriously!" He blurted.

"Yeah, seriously. Why don't you cook for us then?" Hyolyn said as she stuffed a chunk of meat inside her mouth.

"Yes sure, I will do that. But let me take care of my girlfriend first." Vaughn replied.

"Awww, that's so sweet of you. Guys, we are dating." Chlea said casually while eating the marshmallow she just grilled.

Hyolyn accidentally spits out the meat she was chewing and started coughing. Meanwhile, Brook was massaging her back to stop coughing.

"Seriously, bro?! How about-..." Brook told Vaughn mentally pertaining to his marriage engagement.

Hyolyn opened a can of soda and drank it for her to stop choking for the meat to slide down her throat.

"Hey, Chlea! Why didn't you tell me? I told you, babe, my intuition with regards to gossips has never been wrong! I knew it!" Hyolyn snapped.

Vaughn and Chlea started laughing.

"Believe me or not, we just started dating today," Chlea said.

Hyolyn looked at Chlea, "Guys, you barely know each other. What, is it just like a week when we introduced you to each other right?"

Chlea took a piece of meat with a fork and put it inside her mouth and she shook her head, "My dear cousin, don't ever get me started with that. I know you know what I mean." Chlea teased.

"Well, I don't see anything wrong with it. Courtship is part of our culture but it's just not the case all the time." Brook replied.

Hyolyn shrugged off, "Any way you're right, babe." As she hugged him from the side.

Hyolyn then looked at Chlea as if saying 'Let's talk later.

"I believe in courting, I do. Ours turned out different. So Chlea loves me now and I'll court you forever." Vaughn seriously said at Chlea blushing.

Brook picked up a piece of marshmallow and threw it at Vaughn, "Bro, that was dang too cheesy! It's giving me goosebumps!" He laughed.

They then peacefully ate their grilled dinner. When it was past 8 PM, they started drinking.

"So what do we have here? Alright, we have Korean soju." Brook said as he read the label of the green bottles. He then gave each a little shot glass.

"Can you drink?" Vaughn whispered to Chlea.

She felt the warmth of his voice and replied, "Yes I can, just a little." As she did the little sign with her pointer finger and thumb.

Hyolyn started getting energized and led the drinking game, "Alright so to spice things up, let's do the drinking game! Spin the bottle and when it points to any one of us, she must choose truth or dare. Game?" She explained and put her hand on the center. The four of them did so and chanted, "Game!" in unison.

"To start, I will be spinning the bottle. One, two, three, and go!" Hyolyn remarked as she spun the empty wine bottle.

Spinning

Spinning

Spinning

And it pointed on Vaughn, so the rules of the game is that the spinner is the one who would ask or dare to whoever the bottle is pointing to.

"Okay, Vaughn! Truth or dare." Hyolyn asked.

"Truth," Vaughn replied with his usual cool demeanor.

"Hmm, truth. So, what were your thoughts when you first met Chlea?" She asked while winking at Chlea.

"I had this feeling of wanting to protect her and I don't even know why. I know for certain she can do that for herself but I wanted to." Vaughn took a shot and looked at Chlea with wistful eyes.

"Dang, Chlea! You got my bro smitten over you since day one! He's not that type before, you know." Brook joked while drinking.

"Okay, then. Now Vaughn you have to spin the bottle this time." Hyolyn instructed.

Vaughn did so and it pointed to Brook.

"Truth or dare?" Vaughn asked Brook.

Brook almost died laughing, "Dude, is there anything else about me that you don't know? I choose dare!"

Vaughn smirked, "So you choose death." He then laughed.

He then added, "Just kidding bro, I don't really have anything in mind to dare you so I will give this chance to Hyolyn."

Hyolyn merrily clapped like a seal, "Now that's cool, man! So, babe, I dare you to post a picture of us right now on social media."

Brook replied, "Aw babe, you don't have to ask me to! But are you sure? Last time I asked it would be alright to post our photos you said you will think about it first."

"Yes babe, let's do it!" Hyolyn replied.

Smiling like a fool, Brook then got his phone from his pocket, placed the camera in front of them, and kissed Hyolyn's cheek.

They all checked their phones to see Brook's post, his caption says: "thank you for loving me, @hyolynxx"

"Dang, Hyolyn! You got my bro right here feeling in love more than ever!" Vaughn shouted as he held his shot glass up before drinking it.

Without hesitation, Chlea double-tapped the post.

Even in the dark of the night and the fire burning in front of them, it can be seen that Hyolyn's cheeks blushed when she personally read Brook's post.

"Wait, if I am not mistaken, Brook is your first IG official boyfriend, right? Riiiiight?!" Chlea yelled giddily.

Meanwhile, Hyolyn shyly nodded to confirm.

Vaughn and Chlea teased the two of them and shouted "CHEERS!" then clinked their shot glasses altogether as they drank up the soju.

A few hours later at past 10 PM...

"Aren't you Chlea's boyfriend? Why are... you... so handsome?" Chlea said while tapping Vaughn's face with her point finger barely finishing the sentence because of drinking too much, at least for her.

Chlea kept on laughing at every little thing.

"Gosh look at that woman!" Hyolyn shook her head upon looking at her wasted cousin.

Vaughn just laughed at the sight of Chlea laughing, "Can she drink?" She asked Hyolyn.

"She can, but her alcohol intolerance is like that of a baby's." She replied.

Brook, on the other hand, is now sleeping with his head on Hyolyn's shoulders.

He instantly woke up, "But babies don't drink!" He said all of a sudden and then went back to shut his eyes.

"Exactly my point, babe!" She laughed while drinking directly from the bottle.

"Hooh! Vaughn, I can't take it anymore, my vision is doubled right now." Hyolyn said while shaking her head to regain focus.

"Let's better go back to our rooms, I'll just clean this up real quick. Do you need some help with Brook?" Vaughn offered.

Hyolyn shook her head, "No, I think I can manage. Alright, see you guys, tomorrow dude! Take care of Chlea, please. Bye!"

Hyolyn then woke Brook up and then they began walking back to their hotel room.

"Chlea? Let's go back to our room now. Can you walk? I'm sure you can't." Vaughn slightly tapped Chlea's face but to no avail, she is in a deep sleep.

'You told me earlier you can drink. Yes, you absolutely can but can't handle.' Vaughn spoke to himself while putting a stray hair on Chlea's face on to her ear.

He carried Chlea back to their room by bridal style since if he carry Chlea on a piggyback ride she might fall off. She completely dozed off.

"How could a petite woman like you be so heavy?!" Vaughn told Chlea as his veins pop up upon carrying her.
