Priestess Online

“What did you do?!” she exclaimed, her breathing becoming unsteady. The reflection of a woman with white long hair braided all the way at the back and had three horns protruding on top of her head mimicked her expression. The water rippled a little but the image staring at her remained the same. Her complexion almost blinded her with the vast whiteness that stretched around her. Turning her head from left to right, she found nothing and no one to help her understand what happened. “What did you do?!” she bellowed. [Welcome Priestess! In between

"Don't you think this is a waste of time if we don't find it?" Xavier called out. He was skimming from one book to another, flipping through pages and shaking the book until he almost tore the pages out.

All the while, Zera was keeping the hideous creature busy, ensuring that it was far away from where Xavier was.

"Just focus on your task!" Zera replied. She almost missed what Xavier had said, the unidentified monster screaming bloody murder as it pursued Zera inside the library.

With all the noise they were making, the outside of the building was another story.

Shaking his head, Xavier threw the book he just tried to pry for the clue on the ground. Zera had ducked just in time to avoid the monster's tail. It swung back and forth. If she didn't dive in the nearby corner, she would have been caught on it.

Muttering curses under his breath, Xavier did as he was told. He was thinking that they might be wasting their time.

But maybe not.
