The sensation on her body had Zera thinking that it must be how death felt like. But along with it, she remembered Liam's lips on hers. Or more like Avalon's.

Xavier kissed her.

Snapping her eyes open, Zera had a hard time breathing. She put a hand on her chest and gasped, inhaling a lungful of air before coughing them back out.

The first thing Zera saw when her sight had adjusted was the white vastness. It confused the hell out of her. She looked from left to right, realizing her body was suspended in the air.

An invisible energy source was binding her arms and legs, stretching them like she was being prepared to be roasted.

To her right, Zera had a double take upon finding Xenon and Trink tapping on an invisible wall. They had been trying to get her attention.
