Finishing up the bath, Aela and I went back to her room, donning our armor.
"Alright, do you want to take the day off or do another quest?"
Pursing my lips, I scrolled through my inventory, before saying "Another quest. In fact..."
Moving over to her, I gave her a smirk as I said "I can introduce you to Gerdur and Camilla, what with the Sabrecat den being near Riverwood."
Aela nodded, strapping on her quiver before glancing back at me.
"The letter stated that the den was somewhere between Helgen and Riverwood; it's not that much ground to cover, so we should be done by the end of today. Do you need to get anything before we go?"
"Hmm... I want to see if Farengar has an enchantment I need..."
"What kind? I might've kept something with what you are looking for..."
Saying so, Aela tossed open her chests, revealing piles of enchanted arms and armor.
"By the Gods Aela..."
She smirked at me, giving my rear a quick slap as she whispered "I've been doing this for awhile now, Jeleia..."
Nodding at her, I started sorting through the weapons, searching for Soul Trap.
[Iron Dagger (Fire Damage)]
[Steel Mace (Shock Damage)]
[Steel Dagger (Fear)]
[Elven Dagger (Soul Trap)]
Lifting the Elven Dagger, I grinned, watching the purple glow radiate softly from the golden blade.
"This one."
"Hmm... was that... Soul Trap? You trying to get into enchanting?"
I nodded, peering back at her as I said "It seemed easy enough when I enchanted this here."
Patting my Steel War Axe, I enjoyed the cool sensation of the frost coated metal, and Aela nodded.
"Well, I'm guessing you need some Soul Gems and an Enchanting Table now?"
"Yeah. I'm guessing..?"
"We have the table, and I have a few spare Common Soul Gems."
Furrowing my brow, I stared down at the dagger, pursing my lips as I asked "Are you sure I can..?"
"Jeleia, eventually you'll bear me some pups. A dagger and a few Soul Gems is nothing compared to that."
She tossed me a small pouch, and upon opening it I saw three Common Soul Gems, each one pulsing with a dull purple light.
"Do you want me to enchant something for you?"
Smiling at me, Aela nodded.
"Sure, why not. Here, enchant my dagger with that Frost enchantment. We can have matching enchantments~"
I nodded, taking the long dagger she held out, before following behind her as she led me towards the a door at the end of the hall Aela lived in.
It was a small cubby, an Enchanting Table on the right and an Alchemy Station on the left.
Stepping inside, I laid the Elven Dagger onto the ebony surface, reading the notification that popped up.
{Disenchant: (63%) Chance of learning the Enchantment}
Leaning over the Enchanting Table, I bit my lip as I studied the dark purple runes swirling on the blade, causing the runes on the ebony table to light up.
Finding all the runes in the sequence, they floated up above the table, forming four sequences.
I could understand two of the runes; Soul and Devour.
Pursing my lips, I studied each sequence, noting that three of them had Devour before Soul.
However, on had Devour at the very beginning, while the other two had it in the middle.
Sighing, I continued studying the sequence, hoping to figure out what they could mean.
As I mulled it over, one of the other runes flared, allowing me to understand it.
This new rune was Trap.
Only one sequence had Soul before Trap, so I selected that one; after all, the Enchantment in the game had been Soul Trap.
{Enchantment: 21 -> 24}
{Learned two Enchantments; 'Devour Health' and 'Soul Trap'!}
"Wow..."
"What? Was that a good 'Wow'?"
I grinned back at Aela, who was leaning against the door frame.
"Yeah, it was... Two enchantments on that dagger; Devour Health and Soul Trap."
She nodded, a small smile on her lips as she watched me.
Laying my Hunting Bow on the table, I placed a Common Soul Gem beside it, selecting 'Soul Trap' from the menu.
As the crystal dissipated into a swirling miasma, I felt a slight tug on my magicka, making me frown.
Extending my magicka out onto the table, I guided the miasma onto the bow, a smile pulling on my lips as I realized that I could shape the runes on my own now.
Recalling the runes needed, I inscribed them along the wood, each one flaring as I successfully placed it on the bow.
{Enchanting: 24 -> 25}
{Hunting Bow (Soul Trap: If a target dies within ten seconds of first taking damage, charges a soul gem)}
Smirking at the now pulsating purple bow, I placed it on my back before laying Aela's Skyforged Steel Dagger on the table.
Since it wasn't my own weapon, I didn't want to experiment, so I refrained from trying to place two enchantments on the weapon.
However, as I inscribed the Frost Damage enchantment on the steel blade, Aela and I gasped as the pale blue runes flared brightly, before dimming into a deeper, colder blue.
{Enchanting: 25 -> 27}
{New Enchantment unlocked: Glacial Damage}
{Improved your knowledge of the Frost Domain}
{Skyforged Steel Dagger (Glacial Damage: Targets take 10 points of Health and Stamina damage, and each successful blow numbs the affected area; (1%) Paralysis chance)}
"Holy..."
"W-What? My dagger's fine, yeah?!"
I nodded, hesitantly handing Aela her dagger.
She winced slightly holding it, before sighing in relief as it grew acclimated to her body.
"That's not a Frost Enchantment; it's a Glacial Enchantment..."
"Glacial?"
Pursing my lips, I reread one of the notifications, wondering what it could mean.
I didn't really 'understand' more about frost; I just now had access to a better version of the Frost Damage Enchantment...
However, it might just be another innate thing; I didn't actually know how to fight before reincarnating here, and yet...
So maybe if I try to use more Ice magic, it would come to me naturally there as well.
However, this made me wonder what the other two elements would be; would Fire be Lava or Scorch? Would Shock be Storm?
This would be something I would need to look into when I had the time...
Nodding to myself, I turned towards Aela, smiling at her as I said "Well, you got a better Enchantment than I planned! Isn't that exciting~?"
She was still staring at her dagger, giving me an absentminded "Yeah..."
Grinning to myself, I tapped her shoulder, making her come around with a jolt.
"Should we get going now?"
"Oh... yeah, yeah sure... Riverwood, right?"
Rolling my eyes, I said "Aren't you the one with the missives?"
Aela raised a hand, about to say something before remaining silent, turning towards her room.
Chuckling, I walked behind her, waiting as she reread the missive.
"Riverwood... North... Cave... Suspected six Sabrecats... Alright, got it. Ready?"
"Mhm~!"
