And so Doryu reached out to the puddles of red and drank it by the mouthful.

It tasted delicious. Who knew blood was this sublime?

As the liquid coursed down his veins, he felt his body once again begin to change. His skin hardened, and his torso felt stronger, but he couldn't confirm it. A thought popped into his head as the final drops of blood sunk into his stomach.

"Dragon?"

"Yes?" The voice bellowed inside his head.

"What's your name?"

"I don't remember."

Silence had never felt so awkward. Doryu had never been good at small talk, or talking in general, but he felt the urge to speak. It could be his newfound fancy in blood, or it could've been his empathy towards the Dragon.

"Can I call you Luciel?" He asked.

"Why?" she questioned.

"It was my sister's name"

It was the dragon's turn to fill the silence. "I suppose you can call me that, I have always enjoyed names."

"So Luciel, what do I do now?"

"You do what the dragons do, go hunt, of course."

In a distant hunt in the depths of the forest, a group of goblins smelled the scent of a human. It had been a long time since they had fresh meat. It was time to kill.
