Strange Encounters

Dabria froze at the sight of the strange man, just one look at him and she quickly realized that he was not from Eldoria.

The mysterious man exuded an aura contrasting that of a human's. He was certainly not an ordinary man nor human, but then the only supernatural beings in the whole of Eldoría were the demon king and the four demon lords.

Obviously, he wasn't one of the demon lords, despite having encountered the demons in the woods, the man in front of her possessed a different kind of beauty contrasting to the demons.

If he wasn't one of the demon lords and he wasn't from Eldoria, then he was undoubtedly a threat. The realization of the danger she was in yet again hit her and she flinched back.

"You're having a hard time moving, miss." The husky baritone voice floated dangerously into Dabria's ears, snapping her back to reality.

Slowly Inching backward, Dabria resorted to speak "I could say the same for you, strange man." As confident as the words rolled off her lips, her heart was pounding with the rhythmic cadence of danger.

Although, the man's exterior facade seemed calm, one could never be too certain and laid back, especially sensing the powerful aura emanating from him. Dabria knew he was dangerous, but dangerously calm like a panther prowling slowly in the darkness.

An amused grin suddenly tore through his lips to reveal his white pointy pearls, it was an amused grin yet they looked daunting.

"Strange man? Said the stranger looking girl." The man quipped, but rather than in a discriminative way, it was more of in a manner of curiosity.

Dabria suddenly felt a slight pang of shame and she meekly tucked her hair behind her ears as she hid her face from view.

"There's nothing to be ashamed of, you have beautiful features, but the humans can't appreciate that because they're too busy dwelling in the fear of the unknown." The strange man remarked and Dabria's head jerked up to look at him with wide eyes.

"How...?" Dabria trailed off as her brows furrowed in confusion.

"Its not very difficult to know how your life has been judging from your physical appearance in the land of humans." The strange man remarked.

"Who are you?" Dabria muttered under her breath and the man smirked.

"Do you know who you are, young lady? Or perhaps, what you are?" The man asked, his golden eyes glinting with an unfathomable flicker.

"I-I...No." Dabria blurted out truthfully and she saw an amused grin split through his lips.

"I'll see you again, if the moon goddess wishes for us to meet." The man said as he proceeded to walk away, but then Dabria immediately realized.

Dabria's eyes widened in stupefaction as she exclaimed "You're a werewolf!"

The man shrugged at her remark, while leaving her stunned. Dabria had immediately realized he was a werewolf as he made mention of the moon goddess.

It was known to all that the moon goddess bestowed the act of shapeshifting upon the werewolf clan, so she immediately connected the dots and moreover, his aura was unlike that of a human's, it exuded power and danger.

Dabria was fearful of the werewolf in her midst, but she was strangely calm as she reasoned that if he wanted to hurt her, he would have without involving her in a conversation.

Curious about his presence, she garnered the courage to ask "What are you doing in Eldoria? If you get caught, you'll most likely get killed by the demon king. He doesn't tolerate intruders."

"And what makes you assume that I am am intruder and not a guest?" The man asked.

"It was just a warning." Dabria remarked.

The mam, slow and graceful moved closer to her as he said "And why should you be warning a creature that could tear you in half?" His voice rumbled darkly and Dabria swallowed as she pulled her feet back.

With a stutter, she blurted out "I should get going now."

Without waiting for a reply, she veered around and fled away from his presence. Not looking back in fear, she scurried out of the lone path and once she was in the clear, she raced to her feet down to their cottage.

Her heart thud with fear every step she took, dreading the fact that he would shape shift and hunt her down and most probably tear her into half.

With sweat rushing down Dabria's pale face, she barged into the cottage and shut the door behind her.

Dabria's chest heaved heavily as she wiped the sweat from her face, panting erratically with fear. Dabria thought today must have been an inauspicious day for her to come across dangerous men or technically, dangerous creatures.

Knowing she was safe, Dabria finally calmed down. She decided to take a nap after the hazardous ordeal with demons and werewolves, but as she proceeded to her room, she came across Malia.

"Did you find the flower?" Malia teased, oblivious of her plight.

"No, but I found dangerous creatures." Dabria quipped.

Malika's brows furrowed as she observed Dabria's pale, cold face. "What happened? Was it a bear?" Malia asked in worry as she held her shoulders, screening her from head to toe, searching for signs of any wound but there was none.

"No, I saw them." Dabria whispered, her purple eyes shining into Malika's emerald ones.

"Saw who?" Malia asked.

"The demon king and the four demon lords and then afterwards, I came across a werewolf." Dabria blurted out in a rushed tone.

"Uhm..okay.." Malia replied with a doubtful voice.

"You don't believe me? I swear I saw them! The demon king had silver eyes and the four demon lords were as the rumours stated." Dabria pointed out and Malika's doubtful look seemed to fade as she observed Dabria's serious demeanor.

"Really? What were they like? Wait! What happened? Did they try to hurt you?" Malia asked in a stern tone, her green eyes turning dark and Dabria knew that Malia wouldn't hesitate to march into the castle if she said they had indeed hurt her.

"I'm fine, they just let me go." Dabria said.

"From now on, steer clear of the forest, hm?" Malia said with a cautious voice and Dabria nodded.

"Take some rest, when you wake up, dinner will be ready." Malia said with a cheerful tone and Dabria did as she said, but still, her mind lingered to the dangerous silver eyed demon.
