"Oh, and just call me brother like you used to. Formalities can drop when we are within the palace." he said.
He left the room.
Wait…. Oh right! I forgot the fact that he was actually my brother. He resembled Jason so much that I thought I was talking to Jason instead of Aurelia's brother Aeson.
I think I was 2 or 3 years older. So her brother was 17 or 16. Nevermind, Hes, 16.
The door bursts open
"Rela!" the not-anymore-Crown-Prince charged in. wow. He looked just like Rian. Would his name also sound like Rian. Let's see.
Ex-crown prince hugged me and squeezed so hard I could hardly breathe.
"Hey, it's ok. I wont leave for now,"I patted his back then added "Crown Prince."
He looked up with an annoyed look.
"Ugh, don't call me that! I hate it! Just call me Ian like how you used to! I missed you! Now I don't have to become Crown Prince! The pressure that….. That Queen gave off to me was so hard." Right, our half bro didn't see the Queen as his mother. More like a foreign person, who he doesn't hold respect to. That was the same for Aeson and I so we became close--- until I went away. I felt bad that Aeson thought Ian was a bad dude, but he'll figure it out later on.
"Oh oh! And also tell me if the maids misbehave! You have to tell me!" he insisted with puppy eyes. His eyes weren't as clear as Aeson and I but it still had a tint of dark green in it.
"Because I want to help you, but I don't know what I can do to help you," he muttered. I hardly cared for the maids since they would be banished or killed if they got in my way, tonight. But it was heartwarming that he wanted to help me.
"Yeah, thanks. And, I missed you as well. Go back to your classes. I know that you skipped your classes "I chided.
Ian just flinched as I led him out.
*Scene where I kill for the throne. There were many knights, because apparently a maid overheard us but Aeson, Ian and I pushed them back and killed them. Ian caught us killing some people, and he found out and he wanted to join so he swore loyalty to us.*
It was a few nights since we stormed in and took the throne. We were so tired but we couldn't sleep comfortably, just in case some crazy person came in to assasinate us. So we took turns sleeping. In the night I managed to sleep due to tiredness, then while I finished a bunch of work, they slept in the same room where I worked.
I sent out letters to the nobles, flyers to the commoners that the King and Queen died, and I will become their new ruler. Hopefully they wouldn't mind it but if they opposed… things could get messy, but i knew that wouldn't happen.
I found out that the more I'm tired the more Rela's body takes over and the harder it is for me to take back control. I had to make sure I had plenty of energy from now on.
I started scribbling the things I have done off my checklist.
-Take the throne ✓
-Save my brother for poison attempt
-Check out the sword skill of the Royal guards
-Make a secret tunnel for myself and for my brothers
-Find the traitors with full evidence.
-what to do with the suitors.
Although its only been a few weeks or days since I've returned to the Palace, my brothers were pestering me that I had to find a partner for my position. Apparently I needed to strengthen my place to make the nobles all in line so that none of them rebell against my throne but, in my opinion I doubted they would do something like that. Who needed someone to assure their position. And besides that, I had many more things to check out. I was especially worried about the romance bit. I had to adopt or produce an heir for the throne in order to avoid the big war coming up. But that was all near Aurelia's death and I still had a lot of things to check off my list so I still had plenty of time to think about that.
I sat back in my chair and sighed.
KNOCK KNOCK.
Aeson sprang up and fumbled his sword. His hair was all one sided as if he was licked by a horse.
"Your Highness, the people of the city have gathered in front of the palace." the knight announced.
Even though he was not inside the room his voice was loud and clear.
"Why have they gathered!? To assassinate Her Highness? " Aeson shouted back. Aeson didn't seem like a person who would shout but I guess he was a bit cranky after being woken up.
At this point anyone around would already have woken up. That was the case for Ian. He rubbed his eyes and ruffled his hair. His blond hair shone in the sunlight. He was actually breathtakingly beautiful.
"Hey," Aeson shook me out of my thoughts when I was staring at Ian. While I was staring Aeson had already quickly combed his hair and stood up ready to go outside. "Let's get going." Aeson marched off outside. I grabbed my sword and followed.
