Pretty Poison

Teenage girl Rose Pierce just lost her mother in what seems to be an unfortunate car accident. The one thing she can remember her mother saying to her was that society is a social construct, meant to destroy people's lives. As Rose moves to a new school completely out of the area, she starts to realize why her mother treated it as if it were a poison and hated it so much.

After the bell rings for everyone else to get out of seventh period, I wave goodbye to Rose and I sighed, as my girlfriend cornered me.

"So, I heard that you met the new girl today. How did that go? Is she pretty?" She asked me and I sighed, being careful about what to say next.

"Babe, she was so ugly, not even a skunk would find her attractive. You're all good." I lied.

I am in love with my girlfriend, yes. But Rose was actually really pretty too. She had her brunette hair in a ponytail. Her hair tie was green, like her eyes. She was, in my opinion, prettier than Alexis. I couldn't tell her that, though.

"Let's get on the bus." Alexis said, as she held my hand and brought me to the back of the bus with my friends Brian and Romona.

"I heard you met that new girl. Is she hot?" Brian asked, as he grabbed a bottle of water out of his pocket and chugged it like a madman.

"Can you guys stop talking about Rose? She's literally so ugly! Not even a rat would want to be with her!" I lied.

Rose is really pretty, she's just not my type. I'm allowed to call women pretty if they're actually pretty, you know? I'm so tired of society telling me that I can't find women pretty, you know?

Anyway, Brian pulls another bottle out of his bag, throwing it to me. I caught it mid-air and chugged it, as Alexis was looking at me like I was a wild animal.

"Why do you act like that, babe?" Alexis asked me and I raised my eyebrow.

"Like what?"

"Like a weirdo!"

"You only live once."

I saw her being a little bit angry and I wrapped my arm around her shoulders.

Don't get me wrong. I love this red head, but she gets overemotional over the littlest things sometimes. She has beautiful brown eyes, like her father's and red hair like her mother. She also has a curvy structure, but she's really short. Like, she's 5'3. I always call her my little ant.

"I love you, babe." I said to her, as I leaned into her for a kiss. She kissed me back.

Her warm, soft lips contrast with my cold, rough lip texture. One of the things I honestly enjoyed the most about her. I love her personality too. Alexis is a jealous girl who has future goals for herself. She really wants to be an actress in romance movies and she knows what steps and directions to take. She knows what she wants to do.

Alexis knows more about her future than I know what to wear every morning. She also knows more about what she wants to wear everyday than how much I know about what I want to do with my future. She is also very bossy and she likes to be in control of her surroundings. She's not dominant, but she is super bossy.

"Babe, how would you like to come to my house?" Alexis asked me, and I looked over at Brian, and then back at her.

"I would love that, my little ant." I said, as I kissed her on the cheek, applying pressure.
