Our Child

Joe was driving aimlessly when suddenly his cell phone rang. The man reluctantly glanced at the cellphone lying on the other side of his car seat. The man immediately braked suddenly when he saw Mika's name appear on the screen of his cellphone.

 "Hello Mi," said Joe as he picked up the call.

 "Joe, I'm hungry, my stomach hurts," Mika whined.

 "Where are you? What do you want to eat?" asked Joe in a trembling voice.

 "I'm at home, I want to eat tom yum," said Mika in a weak voice.

 A drop of Joe's tears just fell from his sad eyes.

 "I'll buy it. Please don't go anywhere, wait for me," said Joe and then stepped on the gas and headed for a restaurant that sells tom yum.

 After buying a few servings of tom yum, Joe immediately drove his car fast towards Mika's house.

 Not wanting to waste time, Joe immediately took his tom yum to Mika's room because he couldn't find the girl anywhere.
