Return The Money

Gu Minghuai was still holding her chin. His gaze was cold and deep while Ning Shan's eyes started welling with tears.

"How dare you cry when you've done something wrong, stop daydreaming!" The man's cold voice sounded extremely domineering.

Ning Shan struggled violently and grabbed his hand to free herself.

Gu Minghuai looked at the red marks on her fair chin and suddenly had the urge to give her a massage.

"Mr. Gu, I apologize." Ning Shan lowered her head and bowed. "I didn't have a choice today. I won't bring anyone home in the future."

In the past, she had lived in her own home in the countryside and was happy and at ease. Once she came to this huge city, she felt helpless and sad because she always felt like she was being under someone else's roof. She took out her phone and her eyes were extremely gloomy. "Mr. Gu, I'll return the five million to you. I'm really sorry."

The endless sadness and sorrow made her have an impulse that wanted to make her return the money to Gu Minghuai.

Gu Minghuai's dark eyes flashed with a cold glint. He stretched out his slender fingers and pinched the young girl's chin again. "Just after teaching you a lesson, you got so angry that you want to return the money?"

Ning Shan opened her misty eyes and looked at him stubbornly. More and more tears started to well up, the more she heard the more woeful she felt.

The butler nodded and lowered his head while pushing the wheelchair forward. The wheels slid on the marble floor tiles silently.

Gu Minghuai's eyes were indifferent. He looked straight ahead as if he did not intend to pursue the butler's negligence. However, the butler knew his temper very well. He braced himself and said, "Fourth master, Miss Ning Shan said that her sister was only here to rest for a while and that she would leave soon. I will..."

"Got it," Gu Minghuai interrupted him.

The butler saw that he was not angry and knew that this matter had nothing to do with him, only then did the butler asks casually, "Fourth master, in your opinion, do you suspect Miss Ning Shan of this matter?"

The day after Gu Minghuai was drugged, the butler was ordered to investigate. This matter was actually related to Gu Minghuai's mother and Ning Yun's mother. The Gu family was so big and influential, yet Gu Minghuai's mother wanted to conspire with Ning Yun's mother to scheme against their son. It was really shocking as they found out.

Gu Minghuai's eyes darkened. After his investigation, he concluded that Ning Shan, that young girl, had lived in the countryside since she was young. Her personality was sincere and simple, and she did not seem like a person who could lie. Compared to Ning Yun's smooth and discreet way of handling things, she was much simpler.

Seeing that Gu Minghuai did not say anything, the butler said, "How about from today onwards, I get someone to keep an eye on Miss Ning Shan?"

He tried to figure out Gu Minghuai's thoughts and tactfully said, "Miss Ning Shan may not have such intentions, but she may not be able to withstand the threats and enticements from Madam and Mrs. Ning. She may be placed in a position where she would be forced to do something."

The two of them were talking in the room when a black Mercedes came to the door of the mansion and took Ning Yun away.
