When Aiden finished the call, he handed the phone back to the man and walked back to her side.
"Someone will get here in another car, but we need to walk a few miles north. Grab a suitcase and put the most important things because we might not get the rest of our belongings until we come back home." He explained.
"Okay!" She quickly stood up and walked towards the trunk.
She picked up the essentials and separated them into a backpack. She gave him a thumbs up and carried the backpack with her.
Thankfully, she had predicted something like this and packed the backpack.
"Is it heavy?" He asked. "Nope, but you can help carry the food bag." She handed him that and held his hand. Then they started walking.
It took them only 30 minutes of walking with 3 breaks in between since it was hot.
Finally, they reached a repair shop where they rented a car.
