Chapter 98 : Safe and Secure
*Trinity's POV*
I was all alone again.
Matthew's father had taken one look at his watch and had said that he better go see his son before leaving me and my thoughts alone in the room. Daniel had to knock on the door before someone opened it and let him out, so I couldn't even watch for some clue on how to get out on my own.
I hadn't stopped him as he tried to leave. As much as I was hating him more and more, I thought that he would be the perfect moderator between Brett and Matthew. In my head, I was picturing the two of them getting in a full blown brawl right off the bat.
That thought didn't make my nerves any better.
The idea that I was Matthew's weakness was sobering. Over the past year, I had been convincing that the feelings he had for me were strengths, but here they were, being used as the opposite. If he lost his company because of me, I would never forgive myself.
