Discovering the System

"Oh, you're up!" a girl said in a loud voice running towards the hut.

"Uhh..yeah." the boy replied while rubbing his forehead. "Where exactly is this?" the boy said while tilting his head. He was still trying to comprehend what had happened before he woke up, so he couldn't hear the girl calling him.

"Hey, are you alright, you're probably wondering what happened. Well, I found you lying in the mud while it was raining, and you were covered in blood," she said.

While talking to him she noticed he looked kind 'out of it'.

[Setting up config and calibrating system for convenient use.]

"H-Huh? Who's there?" the boy said while startled and forgetting the girl was in front of him. She then looked at him and tilted her head.

"Hey, dude!" she exclaimed while waving her hand in his face. He didn't respond and it looked like he was in a daze. So she placed her hand on his shoulder.

"A-Ah, yeah, what were you saying sorry I thought I heard something," he said realizing the girl never left.

This girl was the village chief's niece, who he was overprotective over. Since his daughter was brutally murdered, he's been overprotective of his niece ever since. The village wasn't amazing but it had good land, so the village was built on top of the land which lead to it being mostly self-sufficient. Meaning there were rarely any people coming to and from the village. Only occasional wandering merchants.

"Anyway, what's your name? You can at least do that right?" She said to him instead of repeating what she said at first.

Waiting more than a minute, 'Does this guy have a loose screw or something? I hope I did the right thing bringing him here' she thought. Noticing he hadn't answered her question yet, she decided to just give him some time.

"I'll be back in a couple of minutes, just wait here," she said after getting up.

After she got up he was relieved since even he didn't know his own name. But that wasn't what mattered now. He was pretty sure he heard a voice a minute ago.

[Welcome, Host, to the Power-Leveling System.]

The boy was startled and his heard stood up when he heard the voice again. Instead of panicking, he decided to figure out what was going on. And also what happened to him.

"W-Who are- no, what are you and how am I hearing your voice right now?" he said while trying to stay calm.

[It seems you've forgotten your own memories, which is normal because you were floating in a subspace for 1728 years ago.]

[I am the PLS, a system that was created and designed by you exactly 1739 years ago on a planet named Earth.]

"1728 years ago..? What that doesn't make any sense, how is that even.." the boy was questioning if what the so-called system said was just a lie or if it were true. Then he asked.

"System can you give me my memories?" he said while holding his breath waiting for an answer. He was also a little scared that someone would see him talking to himself so he decided to lay down under the pelt he was previously sleeping under.

[Understood.] The system said and as soon as he heard that he felt like his head was about to split open. He then passed out due to the pain. When he woke up he had all kinds of memories that weren't there before.

"System, these are all my memories?" he said while shaking.

[Yes, now that you have your memories, it should be easy for you to navigate through the system. Therefore you won't need my help.]

Feeling a little weird after that response, he sat up getting ready to leave the hut but before he did that, he started searching through his memories, "My name is.."
