Erts an orphan who has not even one memory of his biological parents. Leaving in the 'Bant mansion' his one of eight forster children who, have to work there lungs out just to have a decent meal and place to sleep. As shown Erts isn't able to make a fire and that is his false. His close and only class mate friend is Corner, his got a friend in his teacher miss Cooper. Constantly looking for more ways to make a fire, he sticks to his history and science classes the most. Master Edward Bant is the guardian in charge of the fosters and Master Benson Bant is his older brother and the owner of the house. Erts has an interest in clown and has a special toy this is a chunk of glass.

The circus is in... Erts and Corner are excited, but because of his harsh house hold Erts isn't able to go. With a shocking house gathering headed by master Benson... they soon get information that they will attend the circus, but on there best behavior. Though children of the Same house hold, non of the fosters even care about each other... it's equivalent to living with strangers. During the explosive magical show one of the sparks managed to land and burn onto Erts palm...as it cooled down it permanently left a scare in shape of a ring with a zig zag line and dots in it.
