Chapter 1: System and Start
4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey. A beaten and bloody boy, with bruises all over his broken body lied down on a small bed in the cupboard under the stairs.
Pain, like waves traveled through the boy's body and it was way past the level he usually could handle.
He was sure that this was it. This was his last moments on this damned life. He was happy, thinking that he could finally be in peace, never hearing the Dursleys shouting "FREAK" to his face or Dudley and his friend trying to "Hunt" him.
As he grew older, everything got worse since Vernon learned that he could somehow heal from his injuries, so he didn't pull any punches. It was extremely vicious. He was hitting him like an adult free fight.
When he got 6 years old and started primary school, he learned that his name was Harry Potter, and not Freak. It was a surprise to the boy.
He enjoyed studying at school, but he was forbidden to get any score aside from bare minimum. But he had a slip up.
There was a test in the class and teachers said in was a national exam to evaluate IQ of elementary students of whole UK and the results were confidential. Sadly he scored high and people from the ministry of education called Vernon to congratulate him for his nephew's genius mind and preapproved scholarships and free educational programs they prepared for him.
After saying he is not interested on the phone and hanging up, Vernon became a raging bull. With the first slap Harry's eardrum raptured and he lost his balance. After that it was a full on beating. Vernon even experimented by using a small wooden staff and a metal wire to see which one got better results.
After that he was thrown in his cupboard under the stairs.
He closed his eyes slowly.
'This must be the end. This should be the end. Please, whoever is out there, let this be the end.' He prayed in his mind. And his consciousness faded slowly.

Harry opened his eyes in a white world.
- What is this place? Am I dead?
He could see and feel his body. It was surprisingly out of pain. It's been so long since the last time his body didn't feel hurt and ache.
He got up and walked around slowly.
- Hello? Is this the afterlife?
A sound was heard from behind.
- well, not technically.
Harry turned around and saw an old man with black hair and a black T-shirt with words written "Truck-sama's No.1 fan". (You can picture death from supernatural)
- Hello sir?
- Hello Harry.
He smiled and used his hand to show a bench in the total whiteness. Harry didn't even notice it before.
- Sit down, let's have a chat.
Harry did what he was told. Obedience was carved in his mind and soul. He was not allowed to question the tasks.
They both sat on the bench. Harry was quiet. He was not allowed to start a conversation, only to answer. The old man asked.
- Don't you want to ask where you are Harry?
- You said this isn't afterlife, but it's comfortable and I like it here. Are we away from my uncle?
The old man laughed bitterly and slowly and said:
- Yes Harry, don't worry. We are. But you can't stay here for a long time Harry. This is some kind of a forbidden ground for souls that are still alive.
- So you want to kick me out? Again to the Dursleys? I'll commit suicide and finish everything when I go back.
- Well I'm not going to send you back without a gift.
Harry's eyes went cold. 'A gift?'
- Gifts are for people like Dudley who can use them. I cannot have anything. Even if you give me something it's just going to end up as another reason for Dursleys to beat me. I just can't.
The dam that held his emotions back was so strong under his years of practice that kept him from crying. He knew crying would turn everything for the worse.
- The gift I'm giving you is different. I could say it's going to make your life worth living, but I can't say more because I don't want to spoil anything.
He got up and said:
- This place is a middle ground between life and death, some call it purgatory, some call it abyss. If you find enough power to travel worlds come here. It gets lonely here.
He looked at me and smiled:

STR, governs your pure physical power, Health (HP) ,HP regeneration and stamina.
DEX is for your speed, defense and reflexes.
INT for Mana Point gain, processing power and magical efficiency/damage
WIS for the Mana Point regeneration, problem solving, each stat in WIS increases your learning speed by 1%.]

[Perks are special powers that change your stat gain and usually they are not changed through a person's life, but you can gain them through quests or every 20 level given by system.]
[Traits change your talents in different fields, they increase effectiveness and learning speed. You'll gain a trait every 5 levels through system]
[Status effects can be healed or dispelled by different means.]
[Normal humans (Muggles) have 100 physical cap and 200 mental cap in stats, normal adults reach 30-40% of their potential. Athletes and Scientists reach 80% of Physical and Mental stats respectively.]
[Wizards have 200 physical and 400 mental cap. Usually a normal wizard only has 30-40 physical stats (like a muggle) and around 100 mental stats.]

Harry took a moment to collect all he learned through system. The flood of information took him by surprise. After reading everything for couple of times he understood most of the information.
He thought 'Skill page' and another page appeared before him.

2. Train your body – ( 100 sit ups, 100 push-ups, 100 pull ups, for 10 days) – reward: Skill (Body conditioning), +1 physical stat, +5% exp
3. Train your mind – (2 hrs of meditation for 10 days) – reward: Skill (Meditation), +1 mental stat, +5% exp

Harry looked at the missions. There was a Quest to kill Dursleys which intrigued harry a bit. When he finished reading. Last page appeared.

And harry was alone again in his cupboard. So that was all the information the system provided. He had to figure out everything else by himself.
He looked at his perks again, there was an alarm. He remembered the system told him about more information thingy he could do by touching the page. He touched that mysterious perk that had alarm on it and suddenly another page appeared.

He felt a stabbing pain on his old scar. It felt like someone was trying to force a heated iron knife into his brain.

The pain would come with each tick that showed the progress moving forward for 1%.

… He couldn't do anything until it was finished. Nothing worked. He just bit his pillow in order not to shout.

With his body drenched in sweat, he read the new window.

Harry checked his stats and skills and saw that he gained the stats. His body felt surprisingly strong and his mind clear. Now it was like:
HP: 120/120
Mana: 70/70
STR: 12/400 – (status effect -50%) = 6
DEX: 12/400 – (status effect -50%) = 6
INT: 14/600 – (status effect -50%) = 7
WIS: 13/600 – (status effect -50%) = 6.5
He gained a lot with that. Also the skills that he could try were at least epic. He learned from system that epic is a high level skill. But the Unique one caught his eyes.
So he chose that.

All the information gave Harry a minor headache. With his new skills things turned around instantly. He didn't feel that much pressured anymore. He felt more relaxed. He knew Dursleys could no longer hurt him. He could feel their minds in the room, with a little push he could break their minds.
He might've done that if he didn't acquire the knowledge of wizarding world from Voldemort. He knew about lingering magic and signatures left. Not anything in details or how things worked, but a common known knowledge that these things exist.
If he couldn't kill them he could do something else, he could erase all of their hatred for him and replace it with fear. It only would take couple of days but he needed a better control of magic to do it. Based on the knowledge he gained, it seemed like if he tried now, their minds would splatter on the walls of their bedroom. He felt hatred towards them. An unimaginable hatred. But he didn't want to let them off easily. He knew how much he could hurt them with the power he gained and he planned to do it the best way he could.
So for his plans, he needed wandless magic first.
After torturing them for a while, he would kill them and run away if he could get away with it.
He planned to find his legacy as a potter and try to see what happened in the world. His information came from Voldemort and was outdated.
Also there was leveling ups and skills he needed to gain.
He planned everything and daydreamed as much as he could that he didn't feel the time passing by, until he heard a voice shouted:
- Come and make breakfast boy. We don't feed you to sleep all day.
Harry tried to control himself and closed his eyes for a moment. Everything was going to start from that morning.
