Chapter 1: The abyss

 The year is 4070 and all human life on mother earth has been exterminated. On the moon high in the sky 239,900 miles away is a deep and dark hole the size of a tire. The hole stretches for miles and miles with its seemingly never ending depth that consumes all light.

At the bottom of the hole, lies the last being of all mankind. A cybernetic human named Desper, ready to end his suffering, having lost everyone and everything. Desper lays on the ground with his knees to the floor and his head bowed.

He breathes his last breath of moon air using nano technology implanted in his lungs that allows him to use the exosphere of the moon as his oxygen tank. In his hand desper slowly takes the deadly nanobot pill known as "crimson-e". A pill designed with nanobots inside capable of degrading every metal tech implanted in his cybernetic body like rust. 

All of a sudden in the abyss of desper's hole, the intruder alarm of his lair sounds off "INTRUDER ALERT!… INTRUDER ALERT!". Hit with panic and shock from the sound of the alarm, desper's cybernetic hand uncontrollably crushes the crimson-e pill.

Instantly desper's grief is overtaken by rage from losing the one and only escape from his prison of solitude and darkness. The adrenaline of rage induced emotion kicks desper twenty four feet into the air using his enhanced steel prosthetic legs. As desper rises filled with anger, he uses his eyes which have adapted to being in the dark, like a nocturnal animal. He quickly scans the surrounding area of his lair for the unknown intruder.
