Game is on!

After in other 45 minutes, the proceedings of the court had started. Linda was looking at Austin who was dressed in a black colored suit with a stripped white tie, in much hatred. The man was looking his usual self …..extremely handsome, tall, muscular and evil.

He seemed to be extremely serious about the case after all he desperately wanted to defeat Linda's company. He had gone to the extent of marrying the girl so that his company becomes the number one company yet again.

Soon the evidences were produced by Austin on behalf of his client and Linda's company managed to produce the laws against all the evidences. Austin then produced several more evidences and he smiled a little looking at the lady senior lawyer who was leading Linda's team.

Austin was always very sure that all the evidences that Linda's team will produce Austin already had a counter against it. The lady started to plead before the court and to Austin's surprise it was completely different from what he had expected. The lady had produced such a new point told by Linda that Austin was left extremely confused.

"Where the hell is this written in Linda's file?" He flipped through the documents, looking at the points which he had received from Linda and he realised that the senior lawyer was producing a very different case for which Austin was unprepared for. He had barely worked till 8:00 PM and had not even bothered to look at deeper points as he was extremely over confident this case.

"Now if I may request the defendant to produce the points against the points pleaded by our senior counsel from Miss Linda's team." The white haired judge sitting at a raised platform looked at Austin and Austin instantly got up from his seat adjusting his tie.

"Your Highness…. If I may plead to be given 2 more days to read the case further." Austin almost folded his hands in nervousness and then turned to look at the senior lawyer of Linda's company in much hatred and frustration.

 There was a slight smile on the senior lawyer's face and the judge frowned a little looking at Austin. "I think we have given enough chances and time to you on this case. Plea dismissed!"

  The judge then turned to look at the senior lawyer from Linda's team and nodded his head in approval. "You may now produce the evidences."

"You cannot win me on this." Austin quickly flipped through the pages as he knew all the evidences that the lady was going to produce in front of the court. To his surprise the list of the evidence that was mentioned in Linda's documents were completely different. The senior lawyer had called several people to produce several evidences and statements but none of it matched the list which Austin had stolen.

All the evidences produced by Linda's team managed to outweigh Austin's arguments and evidences. There was a pin drop silence for 5 more minutes as both the sides had pleaded their own sides. Linda knew that the case went very well but she was still unsure as to what the verdict the judge will give.

 After 5 minutes the judge stopped writing something on a thick register and then looked at both the parties. Linda knew that it was time to give the judgement and she was almost at the edge of the seat taking deep breaths. "Oh Lord! Help me! I have worked really hard."

" After listening to both the sides the court has come to work conclusion that advocate Austin's client Mr. William is hereby guilty and….. Linda and company win this case. The judgment is given in their favor and Mr. William is hereby given 3 years of imprisonment…. along with 40,000 dollars of fine given to the state and all the effected civilians. The case is dismissed !" .

bang!

 The judge struck the hammer on the table and Linda screamed in much joy.

"YES!!!!!"

"WOHOOOOO!!!"

 She still could not believe that she had actually managed to win this case for which Austin had married her. She had yet not closed the camera and was now looking at Austin who was sitting dumbfounded on his seat. Linda smiled looking at Austin and then lightly touched the screen of the tablet. "Dear Mr husband, welcome to the game. It is going to be so much fun now."

 Austin's face was turning red and he instantly picked up the documents and his iPad heading out of the courtroom in much hurry.  As always there were several media people standing outside waiting for Austin and his team.

"Sir, how does it feel to be number two company now."

"Sir, why do you think your company is constantly losing the cases."

"Mr. Austin do you think your wife is smarter than you?"

As Linda's team was happily giving the interview, Austin was busy running away from them along with his bodyguards.

 Linda was yet sitting on the chair now hearing the current news of the city. The case was all over the news and everyone was praising Linda and her company's hard work. Her company had now officially been declared as the number one company of the entire Asia after twice beating Austin's legal firm.

 Tears started to drop down from her eyes and she knew that it was just the beginning and she had several more cases to prepare.

Till 8:00 o'clock in the evening, Linda had been preparing the case for the next day along with her team whereas on the other hand Austin had been sitting in his office taking whisky one after the other. While he had told his team to prepare the case for the next day still taking under consideration Linda's notes but at the same time he had ordered them to prepare the case not just on the basis of her notes and information collected from her laptop.

 He on the other hand was feeling extremely dejected and annoyed. He was still confused as to how the team managed to win the case despite him having all the necessary documents. "Maybe Linda's documents were not complete? Maybe I should have applied my brains and thought about it that Linda is on leave and they could have done a much more study then just the girl's documents." Austin held the glass tightly and straight away started to read the documents for tomorrow's case.

" I have to win tomorrow's case at any cost or my company will lose its and reputation." The man was extremely high but nevertheless he was trying his best to concentrate on the law books in front of him.

At around 8:00 AM Linda's phone rang and finally a beautiful smile appeared on her face. The phone was from none other than Sheryl, her best friend.
