CAPÍTULO 113 – SEMIFINAL, ASH VS GARY (PRIMERA PARTE)
In the previous chapter we saw how the battle of Ash vs Wendy continues and after a hard but exciting battle we finally get to see the winner, Ash, who goes to the semifinals along with Gary and Leaf, in addition to getting his new girlfriend Wendy, who will be the last semifinalist, will Ash manage to pass to the finals? After getting my new girlfriend I was currently watching the battle of my other two girlfriends, Nancy and Verity which were very tied, both were fighting their last Pokémon and of course they had managed to impress the stadium with their Pokémon.
"AFTER PARTICIPANT ASH'S INCREDIBLE MELOETTA I NEVER BELIEVED I WOULD SEE A SHAYMIN OR AN ARCTIC IN THIS INDIGO LEAGUE, BUT WHO WAS GOING TO TELL ME THAT THAT WAS NOT ALL AND THAT I WAS DESTINED TO WITNESS THE BATTLE BETWEEN A LATIOS AND A VICTINI, I SERIOUSLY ASK THEM! WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THIS YEAR'S CONTESTANTS AND HOW DID THEY GET THOSE POKÉMON?!"
Yes, seeing 2 Legendary Pokémon and two Singulars had aroused a lot of people's curiosity and surely had also attracted the attention of those types of people, then I will make a call to Looker to see if he can prevent those people from bothering us, sometimes they can be very annoying.
Either way, the final match was very close and both seemed to have drawn, however, Victini remained standing and got the victory for Nancy, so the last semifinalist was Nancy.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE ALREADY HAVE THE PARTICIPANTS WHO WILL ADVANCE TO THE SEMIFINALS, NAMELY GARY OAK, LEAF GREEN, ASH KETCHUM-HALE AND NANCY WHITE, WHO TOMORROW WILL FACE EACH OTHER TO PASS TO THE FINALS, BUT ONLY 2 WILL BE ABLE TO ADVANCE TO THE LAST ROUND, LET'S KNOW NOW WHO WILL FACE!"
*Note: I did not know what last name to put Nancy and Leaf so they ran out of last names until now, I hope you like those last names, I know they are simple, but they occurred to me yesterday and I thought why not?
Our images appeared on the screen and soon it was seen who our rivals would be tomorrow and surprisingly I would face Gary in the first match while the next match would be Leaf vs Nancy, this semifinal is going to be very close.
By the way, I forgot to mention that after the final there will be some fights to decide the 3-10 positions which reminds me that the day after tomorrow is the final, I just wanted to mention this because I forgot to say it earlier.
That said, after the fight, my family and I enjoyed a pleasant day, although Verity had to be encouraged quite a bit because she was quite depressed about having lost.
"I can't believe I lost... and against Nancy!" exclaimed Verity.
"Hey, I'm trying to cheer you up!" said Nancy, frowning.

"I don't like to admit that statement, but he's right, we're very evenly matched and this time luck was on my side for that... stop being depressed and focus on your fight the day after tomorrow, you can't be in the top two, but you can fight for third position!" – Nancy exclaimed.
That seemed to cheer her up a bit and we were able to get through the rest of the day without any mishap...

I arrived the next morning and it was time to go straight to the stadium, it was a bit early, but we were so nervous that we could not be there without doing anything.
Returning to the subject, after having breakfast with the family and after wishing us luck, we went directly to the stadium where Gary was already waiting and yes, Leaf was with us.
"It seems that nerves have been with you" – Gary said when he saw us.
"It seems that you have been betrayed too," I replied.
"Not at all, I just decided to come here before to reflect on my battle against you, you have proven to be very strong, but I already have an infallible strategy to win you," Gary replied.
"Gary... you'd be more convincing if your legs weren't shaking," Leaf said as he pointed to his legs.
And it's true, they were trembling slightly.
"Whatever, this is as far as Ash comes today!" said Gary embarrassedly.
"Yes, may the best win, I wish you luck too" – I nodded.
"Whatever..." said Gary.

Finally everything had started and we were both in our respective positions, the people in the stands seemed to be excited about the battle that was coming, the sunny day accompanied by a pleasant breeze also gave us the optimal conditions to fight, it seemed that even Arceus himself wanted to see what would happen today ...
"WELCOME TO THE SEMIFINALS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IN THE FIRST MATCH OF TODAY YOU WILL FACE GARY OAK OF PALLET TOWN AGAINST ASH KETCHUM-HALE OF PALLET TOWN, BOTH COME FROM THE SAME TOWN AND I CAN ASSUME THAT THEY ARE EVEN FRIENDS, SO TODAY YOU WILL WITNESS A FIGHT BETWEEN FRIENDS, I CAN'T WAIT TO KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THIS FIGHT, IF YOU WANT YOU CAN START!"
"What will happen in this fight will be that I will win, Aegislash I choose you!" – said Gary.
And a powerful-looking Aegislash stepped out onto the battlefield.
"We started strong... Pikachu it's your turn!" – I said.
I would use Mew, but as I saw, Gary has a Pokémon that Mew will be very useful with, so I want to reserve it for the time being.
"Pika pi!" exclaimed Pikachu as he stepped out onto the battlefield.
"IN THE FIRST MATCH THEY WILL FACE AEGISLASH AGAINST PIKACHU!"
"Aegislash uses Shadow Sneak!"
Suddenly, a shadow headed straight towards Pikachu.
"Use Quick Attack and ski, then use Iron Tail against Aegislash!"
The Shadow Sneak was easy to dodge because we saw it before, the problem comes now.
Pikachu quickly headed towards Aegislash with the intention of hitting his Iron Tail.
"Use Sacred Sword!"
Aegislash drew his sheathing and collided with Pikachu's Iron Tail.
"Stick with Iron Tail!"
"You also follow Sacred Sword!"
Both kept clashing attacks again and again, but everything resulted in a draw.
"That way we won't get anything, Pikachu use the Iron Tail and push yourself up!"
In one of those crashes, Pikachu used the shock of both and propelled himself upwards.
"Now, Pikachu uses Thunderbolt!"
"Use King's Shield!"
Aegislash adopted his shield form and protected himself perfectly against Pikachu's attack, but just as he changed shape, I remembered something...
In the anime, specifically in the league of Kalos, Ash faced a guy with an Aegislash, I know the character was important but I don't remember his name, the fact is that he was causing the same problem, Pikachu attacked, he protected himself and then attacked and so on until Ash devised a strategy to prevent him from using that attack anymore, I'm afraid I'll copy you Ash this time, I'm sorry, but I have no choice.
"Pikachu uses Iron Tail again!"
Pikachu quickly used Iron Tail, however, this time he used it against the ground causing several pieces of rock to come out of the ground.
"I don't know what you're planning Ash but I assure you it won't work, Aegislash uses Sacred Sword!"
"Skip it!"
Unfortunately Pikachu could not dodge it in time and was sent to fly by the enemy Aegislash.
"AWESOME BLOW OF THE ENEMY AEGISLASH THAT HAS HIT A DIRECT HIT ON PIKACHU, I WONDER WHAT KIND OF STRATEGY PARTICIPANT ASH HAS!"

"Are you okay Pikachu?" – I asked.
"Pika pi!" – nodded.
"Well, let's defeat that Aegislash, Pikachu uses Iron Tail!"
Again Pikachu threw himself towards Aegislash.
"Send that Pikachu flying with Sacred Sword!"
Both collided attacks again, however...
"Go away and use Thunderbolt!"
"Aegislash uses King's Shield and then ends up with that Pikachu with Sacred Sword!"
Pikachu was going to launch his Thunderbolt but was purposely delayed for Aegislash to use his attack first.
"Now Pikachu!"
Pikachu nodded and threw one of those rocks that broke off from the ground towards Aegislash which was about to pass into its shield form and protect itself.
But because of the rock, he was unable to execute his attack.
"Impossible!" – Gary exclaimed in surprise.
"Goodbye, Pikachu uses Thunderbolt!"
Unable to execute his attack, Aegislash was at a distinct disadvantage and could not avoid Pikachu's attack.
"Skip it!"
But it was impossible and Aegislash was hit by the Thunderbolt.
"Finish it off with Iron Tail!"
Pikachu quickly went to Aegislash who was trying to recover from that attack.
"Sacred Sword!"
Aegislash tried to move but was quite tired so Pikachu was able to dodge his attack very easily and impact his attack on him causing him to fall to the ground completely weakened.
"INCREDIBLE STRATEGY OF THE PARTICIPANT ASH WHO USED THE ROCKS TO PREVENT AEGISLASH FROM PROTECTING HIMSELF FROM THE BLOW OF PIKACHU THUS WEAKENING HIM, THIS FIGHT HAS STARTED VERY WELL GENTLEMEN, I DO NOT IMAGINE WHAT WILL CONTINUE AFTER SEEING THIS WONDERFUL AND CREATIVE STRATEGY!"
"You're actually surprised by Ash, I must admit I couldn't have predicted that, it's a good strategy, but you'll need more than just a good strategy to beat my next Pokémon, Cradily I choose you!" – exclaimed Gary.
And an intimidating Cradily stepped out onto the battlefield.
"PARTICIPANT GARY'S NEXT POKÉMON IS A CRADILY, A POKÉMON THAT LIVED MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO BUT WAS REVIVED THANKS TO MODERN SCIENCE!"
A fossil! It will be the first time I fight one, I don't know if it happens to you, but every time I hear the word fossil it reminds me of my favorite movie, Jurassic Park, it's just curiosity.
"Pikachu let's finish him off as soon as possible, use Iron Tail!"
"If you think Cradily will fall easily then keep believing it, Cradily uses Ingrain!"
Suddenly, numerous roots began to emerge from Cradily's body and dug into the earth, then disappeared, as if they were a mere illusion or simply invisible.
Thanks to that, Pikachu hit the hit on Cradily, but did not move him from the site.
"Rooting not only heals the Pokémon that uses it, but also prevents it from being pushed or grabbed, Cradily uses Wring Out!"

But it was too late, Cradily wrapped his abnormally flexible neck around Pikachu and began to squeeze him.
"Pika pi!" exclaimed Pikachu in pain trying to get out.
"Use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu managed to use his attack that impacted Cradily, however, right at that moment, the roots appeared again and restored Cradily's health making the Thunderbolt useless.
"Energy Ball!"
Being gripped and unable to dodge it, Pikachu received Cradily's blow and was sent to fly completely weakening him.
"Pikachu!" – I said quickly going for him.
"INCREDIBLE STRATEGY OF CONTESTANT GARY WHO TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIS CRADILY BEING IMMOVABLE TO IMPEDE PIKACHU'S MOVEMENT AND TAKE HIM DOWN WITH HIS ATTACK!"
"Pikachu you've done great, but it's time to rest" – I said leaning him gently on the floor.
"Pika pi" – nodded.
Then I took out another Pokéball.
"I think it's time to get serious, Manaphy I choose you!" – I said.
And after a long time Manaphy went out to the battlefield.
"IT IS INCREDIBLE GENTLEMEN BETWEEN YESTERDAY AND TODAY I SAW A LOT OF LEGENDARY AND UNIQUE POKÉMON, BUT THIS DOES NOT END, THE NEXT POKÉMON OF THE PARTICIPANT ASH IS A MANAPHY, A SINGULAR POKÉMON VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AND MUCH MORE TO CATCH, THIS YEAR IS BEING INCREDIBLE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"
"A Manaphy? I must admit that you have Ash talent, not everyone can catch a Pokémon like that, however, it is still a Water-type Pokémon and my Cradily is a Plant-type Pokémon, we have the advantage, Cradily uses Energy Ball!"
"Do you think you have the upper hand? let me show you a little bit of our power, Manaphy uses Hydro Pump!"
Both attacks impacted however, Cradily's attack was not strong enough and was completely destroyed impacting the Hydro Pump on it but without suffering much damage thanks to the Wring Out.
