2 Year Trainer

In Austin's home sat two egg incubators. One egg was green/emerald in color with a weird design. The other was a light blue color with a grey streak running across the center. It also had it top end colored grey.

Austin found out more information about the egg. Usually no one would give up a riolu egg. The issue was that compared to its siblings egg, this one had weaker aura. So Norris's old friends were afraid that they would spend money on a weak Pokemon. In this day and age this wasn't a worth while investment.

Austin however felt different. The egg gave him a feeling of having pure energy. Although little this would be better, than the standard aura of its kind. Austin always felt that riolu was the cultivator Pokemon. As it gets stronger by accumulating its aura and strengthening its body with it.

What really amazed Austin, was that for an aura this pure to be in an egg, it's parents have to had been very strong.

Austin went back to his usual routine. He slowly felt that in every field he was working on he was improving. The newest addition to his knowledge was about building cities. He would visit and contact many professionals whenever he had time. He felt that by the time the next selection came he would have a rough design.

From his conversation with the professionals so far, Austin realized humanity improved in architecture field. In order to ensure the safety of the remaining humans, this field took off and became very advanced. Especially the fact that they improved many designs from pre cataclysm.

According one of the people he spoke to online, he was part of building the artificial defense system. They were basically floating boxes that had lasers attached to them. They can kill most Pokémon when put to guard an area. The down side is they can only kill anything under high class Pokémon and it costs too much to build. That's why only the 7 major city states have them.

The walls that guard the city states apparently was also improved and even the one in Asadia was the newest one. This was why the city was pretty much poor as it spent every penny to make a strong wall. It can block attacks from early elite class. The only reason their was a damaged part was do to a champion rank wild Pokémon attacking the wall causing a hole to form.

Austin's overview of the whole city kept improving and he was making a design while taking into consideration about the cost.

Just like that half a year passed by in an instant. With everyone doing their own thing no one felt it pass. This time though, Austin wasn't at fault for the lack of contact. His friends were all preparing to join the upcoming Pokémon games. This will be the first time Asadia ever held an event exclusively for trainers.

Thanks to the few movies that came out and the lillipup movement, many people slowly began to look at trainers in new light. Obviously, mainly in the city-state of Asadia. Jessica, who helped Austin out in his first mission, was also a rising star. The most recent film out was one where she was the main character.

Today was the day Austin became a trainer two years ago. This times selection of trainers is different. They were the graduates of this year's Pokémon school. The first group between the ages of 12-15 were lined up. The chosen this time were picked based of three criteria's. The first was their grades in a written test to see the knowledge they gained from school.

The top fifty were then lead to the second part of the tests. This was the ability to work with their conditioned lillipup(basic tasks, obstacle course, see if the trainer and Pokémon were close). The last part which picked the final twenty was a Pokémon battle.

The reason only twenty were picked well their was only 20 beds in the Pokémon center Barack. The rest would go back to the Pokémon school and later be enrolled. Most of the recruits were boys, with only five being girls.

The group will be sent out four at a time to catch a wild Pokémon. Like previous times the league provided them a bag with everything they need. Unlike before the children were more prepared and had a Pokémon.

The other changes in the city state was that more jobs became available. Now the city state began to show signs of being full of life. Many jobs with good pay became available thanks to Austin's help in the tech division. Be it the clothes, or the pokeglasses, or even the improved production of silk. All these provided a large income for the Asadia, which enabled it to provide more for its people.

Speaking of silk, Arther contacted Austin 3 months ago and found that they used genetically engineered mitanks to produce the silk. It took around 7 months since Austin provided them the idea to finally see results. Now it became another perk to Asadia and more money in Austin's pockets.

Austin was currently at Bobby's new place with the rest of the gang. The reason they were their was to congratulate Bobby for passing his C-rank promotion exam. Bobby was excited because now he can have up to six Pokémon. Before coming to his place he went to the Pokémon center to bring a Pokémon he couldn't use previously.

Bobby was excited about the party everyone was throwing him. He took his test early in the morning. Everyone gave him gifts, like Jacob gave him pokeglasses, Ginnette gave him the improved Pokédex, Hugo got him three pokeballs.

Austin didn't hand him anything yet. He asked Bobby to show him his Pokemon. Currently Bobby had a beedrill peak-midclass, a high class ambipom, a mid class Panpour. The newest addition was a low class mankey. Austin noticed the monkey collection and released a Pokemon. It was pansear. Austin told Bobby this was his gift.

Bobby was really excited and called out panpour. He wanted to try and tame the pansear infront of him. He then bid everyone fair well and went to the training field. The group were laughing at his impatient behavior. The only one who could relate was Phillip as he was only two years older than Bobby.

After hanging out a bit with everyone they each separated their own way. Tomorrow was the first day of the Pokemon games. It will be the obstacle course challenge. There will be two segments first is clearing the obstacle then a speed ranking challenge.

Austin went home and began to feed his Pokemon. A lot has been going on in his mind recently. He improved drastically in these six months. The first month he mastered focus energy third stage. He was also able to master endure, focus punch, mega punch, and mega kick. The human version though. After that he felt he couldn't improve himself anymore.

Austin managed to evolve his wimpod to Golispod. Austin's golispod was 3 meters tall instead of two. It also had four giant arms and a thicker exoskeleton. It truly lived to the name of Shiny and mutant. Its speed had decreased but its defenses were stronger. It was currently a high class Pokemon.

Nearing the third month all his Pokemon were high class with onix, Sylveon, blazeken, and togekiss being elite. Sylveon and onix stopped improving. Blazeken was catching up and togekiss trained when it felt like it. Noibat and Servine were also trained hard but none evolved.

The last three months Austin began to train them to fight as a team. He first improved their abilities to fight as a team of two. The next phase was to train to fight as a team of three. They master fighting together as a pairs. Austin also had them rotate so every Pokemon gets use to each other.

The triple battle phase is good but his Pokémon need more training. Austin wanted to train 4 Pokémon team but he found his ability to command that much difficult.

The second thing was that he figured out how his family managed to make a space pendant. The gem of the pendant was known as a cosmic stone. Pokémon who use cosmic power are need to help in forming it. These stones are made from using a Pokémon with cosmic power to refine the Pokémon minor (core form).

The Pokémon then uses cosmic power to form a space. This space is rather strong since minor core form is very stable material. Too bad the Pokémon itself usually dies in the process.

The reason he found this out was thanks to his parents pendant. The pendant once fell on the ground while he was training. The wood back on which the gem was attached split from the rest. On the inner part was the recipe for making the gem engraved. The entire process was time consuming and the cost was too high.

What made Austin excited was that on the back of the gem a master ball was hidden covered by the wooden backing. This mean Austin can catch a legendary Pokemon if it worked like in the game.

Austin finished breakfast. He decided to not train today but to finish the design of the city. He couldn't improve anymore. After the Pokemon games, he will take the B-class promotion exam.

In four days he will see what the big fuss about it was and find out more about his parents.
