Alex's Situation - III

After hearing about all of his friend Alex's harrowing experiences, Xavier felt fortunate that he didn't have to go through the same challenges. Alex's account provided valuable insights that Xavier found crucial for his own journey in the tower.

Firstly, Xavier learned that the starting point for a tower runner whose profession is a Pokemon Trainer is random, which came as a surprise as he initially assumed that everyone began from the Pokemon Center. He wondered if this randomness applied to other professions as well.

Secondly, discovering the penalty of 1000 pokecoins for all of one's Pokemon fainting and being transported back to the Pokemon Center made Xavier cautious about battles. He realized that careful strategy and training were essential to avoid such a costly outcome.

Thirdly, the information about insufficient balance leading to ejection from the tower and a debt to be paid on the next visit alarmed Xavier. He made a mental note to manage his finances wisely and earn more pokecoins to avoid such situations.

Lastly, Alex's encounter with multiple attacking Pokemon highlighted the importance of vigilance and preparedness in the tower. Xavier acknowledged that he needed to be on guard at all times to prevent similar occurrences.

After making a mental note of all the points, Xavier looked straight into Alex's eyes and reprimanded him, saying, "Are you being reckless? How could you treat your Pokemon so carelessly?"

"You were so focused on achieving your task that you neglected Geodude's well-being."

"The first time you were penalized and left with 2000 pokecoins, you only bought 5 Antidotes and no potions."

"I understand that you wanted to keep some money for rent and healing your Pokemon, but did you forget how dangerous Viridian Forest can be?"

"This is what you should have done. With 2000 pokecoins, you should have bought 5 potions and 3 Antidotes, leaving you with 200 pokecoins for rent."

"You should have then battled with Geodude, leveling it up to lv7, and every time you used a potion, you should have ended the day and left the forest. As you mentioned earlier, it took you 3 days to level up Geodude to lv7."

"On the fifth day, you would have had 2 potions, 50 pokecoins, and some Antidotes or none at all, with Geodude at lv7. Then, on this day, you should have followed the same strategy you used to catch the Weedle."

"After catching the Weedle, you could have gone to the NPC at the start of the forest and battled him. The difficulty of the NPC in the forest increases as you go deeper into it."

"I am sure you would have easily won the battle because he had only one Caterpie at lv4, and with your lv7 Geodude, it would have been a piece of cake."

"I can't say that this is the perfect strategy given your condition, but it would have ensured your and Geodude's safety."

After hearing all this, streams of tears welled up in Alex's eyes, and he said while crying, "I am sorry, Xavier. Just because of the fear of getting an F grade, I didn't think carefully. I not only made a fool out of myself but also hurt Geodude."

"I promise that the next time I go inside the Pokemon world, I will ask Geodude for his forgiveness."

Hearing Alex's response, Xavier smiled and patted him on the shoulder, saying, "Don't cry, Alex. I am sure Geodude will forgive you. Just don't repeat the same mistake again and strategize before taking any step."

Alex nodded and wiped his tears from his face. Xavier continued, "Since you have learned from your mistake, here is a gift from me."

Xavier then sent a friend request to Alex, which Alex accepted. In order to send a friend request, the person whom you want to send it to must be within 5 meters of you.

Xavier then sent an item to Alex, and to check what it was, Alex looked in his storage and found a Tower Pass.

Upon seeing the Tower Pass, Alex looked towards Xavier, who was smiling, and said, "Xavier, you... you..."

Before Alex could say anything further, Xavier interrupted, saying, "Take it and no need to thank me. I got a B grade evaluation and received this Tower Pass as one of the rewards." Xavier lied, not because he didn't trust Alex, but because he didn't want to endanger his life. He wasn't sure if someone would target him if they knew he had received an S grade evaluation.

Tears started falling from Alex's eyes again, and he said, crying, "But Xavier, this Tower Pass, I...I think you would benefit more than me."

Xavier replied with a smile, "I know Mr. Johnson mentioned it, but I still don't want it, and you don't need to worry about it. You are my friend, and if I don't help you in your distress, then what kind of friend am I?"

After hearing this, Alex suddenly hugged Xavier tightly and cried loudly, expressing his heartfelt gratitude. After a while, Alex finally stopped crying, and Xavier tried to lighten the mood by sharing his own experience in the pokemon world, concealing certain details.

Taking advantage of the conversation, Alex asked Xavier for advice in various situations and sought guidance for future encounters.

They continued talking for hours, discussing their experiences and strategies. Eventually, they decided to go outside for a walk, hoping to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

-> After the first visit to the tower, the tower runner has a choice to either accept a mission or continue exploring the Pokémon world on subsequent visits.

-> Since a tower pass is issued to each tower runner every month, most of them choose to accept a mission to complete 10 missions in a year. However, if someone has an extra tower pass, they can use it to explore the Pokémon world freely, allowing them to focus on strengthening their team without any worry about missions.
