"Hey, Xavier! That Tower Pass, I will return it to you someday," Alex stated, breaking his silence during the walk.
Xavier glanced at him and responded, "I've already said I don't need it. You don't have to worry about it."
Before Alex could continue, a voice called out Xavier's name, diverting their attention. They turned to find the voice belonged to Rebecca.
Approaching them, Rebecca addressed Xavier directly, "Xavier, are you interested in studying together? We could also share our experiences from the tower."
Xavier replied with a straightforward "No," then turned and walked toward his hostel without looking back.
Alex observed Xavier's departure and then Rebecca, seemingly torn between the two. He quickly jogged to catch up with Xavier's pace.
Meanwhile, Rebecca watched Xavier as he walked away, a thoughtful expression on her face. After a moment of contemplation, she continued on her own path.
The rest of the day progressed with Xavier meditating until evening, gradually replenishing his mental energy. As the day's light waned, he made his way to the training ground. Like before, he concealed himself behind a tree and employed his inspect ability on two military personnel, extracting a set of information :
----
Name : Oreilly Elp
Race : Zombie Soldier
Talent : ---
Skills : ---
---
Name : Logan Trim
Race : Zombie Soldier

As the familiar ache surged within his head, Xavier's expression twisted in discomfort. "Shit, this pain," he muttered, his fingers instinctively clutching his throbbing temples. For a fleeting moment, he gritted his teeth against the sensation, then gradually, mercifully, the discomfort receded. With relief, he turned his focus to the information that had materialized in front of him.
This time, a fresh revelation awaited, confirming his suspicions – the individuals he was inspecting were indeed Zombies, akin to those he had encountered earlier. However, a striking disparity became apparent – unlike their counterparts, these zombies were devoid of both talents and skills.
"Is there a reason behind this disparity?" Xavier pondered in the confines of his mind, his thoughts swirling with questions.
Swiftly, he left the area, his cautious steps leading him back to his room. The days continued in a repetitive cycle for the next four days. Xavier attended his training classes, participated in theory sessions, and discreetly employed his inspect ability on the remaining instructors and some of the military personnel.
Through his observations, Xavier confirmed that none of the instructors were half devils or zombies. However, when it came to the military personnel, his findings took a different turn. He meticulously inspected eight of them and discovered that every single one was a zombie. Within this group, only three possessed a talent and corresponding skill, while the rest displayed no such attributes.
With each piece of information he unearthed, Xavier's determination grew. The pursuit of answers had become an integral part of his existence within this unfamiliar realm. Yet, with every new revelation, the enigma deepened, the boundaries of reality and possibility becoming increasingly blurred.
For now, his actions remained covert, his discoveries his own. He knew that the intricate web of secrets and affiliations he was beginning to unravel could potentially alter the course of their existence – but only if he tread carefully, safeguarding his findings from those who might use them against him.
