11 Chapter 9

"Look! That guy is so cool!"

"I know! I know! Hey, I dare you to ask for his pokenumber."

"You do it why do I have to!!"

"Tch. What's so good about that sissy."

"Isn't that a Magby and Ralts? Are they a student in Class A?"

"That girl with him though! She's so cute."

"I agree with that!"

The duo's presence couldn't be ignored. They were just too eye catching. Especially when Magby and Ralts, two rare pokemons were by their side. Tens of students stared at them in admiration as they walked passed. Girls were attracted by Caleb's dashing looks, while the boys were attracted by Diantha's innocent cute aura. Magby and Ralts were also subjected by the stares. They were quite the duo.

Being attractive will always expose you to admiration and envy, standing out in any crowd.

Caleb seemed to not mind the attention given to him and his friend. Although, inside he was feeling good.

Diantha also wasn't bothered by the stares and whispers that were obviously directed at them. She has already experienced this countless times that it numbed her.

"Magby, Mag."

Though, Magby was not letting such opportunity to appear cool slip away. He walked like a deliquent as he spat small embers at the ground while holding his head up high, he motioned towards his friend Ralts to act like him.

"Kree~..." Ralts shook her head adorably as she was content on walking beside her trainer while clasping on her leg. Besides, she felt uncomfortable by the stares because of her shy natured.

"Magby, cut it out." Caleb gently patted Magby.

This didn't receded his act though. He may be lazy and wanted nothing more in the world but to just sleep. But, he is an attention seeker through and through, that Caleb knew as had their walks in the city before.

Magby was also very proud of it's species and he loved showing it off.

The small group then joined to where Class A were gathered together.

Caleb greeted his classmates before resting his gaze on their class president who has arrived much earlier than them.

"Yow Eclairisse, did the instructor tell you guys anything before we came here?"

A girl with darkish blue hair that was styled in a ponytail. A single strand was hanging on her forehead, she has blue eyes and a somewhat thick eyebrow and a cute little nose. Her name is Eclairisse, their class representative.

"The instructor just told us to wait for others until 8:00pm." Eclairisse informed them as she put down both Caleb and Diantha's name on a pice of paper.

Caleb noticed how few they were compared to other sections. "Why is there only eleven of us present? The other sections seemed to have everyone in their class already here."

He found it weird as he asked her a question.

Diantha was also curious as she turned towards Eclairisse awaiting for her answer.

Eclairisse informed them by saying. "That's actually normal. Because there are actually quite a lot of students in other sections compared to ours who only have around two dozens, I just found out this but apparently Class F has about a hundred of students."

"A hundred?"

Both of them and their classmates that was nearby wore a surprise look.

Taking that into account, Caleb now realized as he looked towards the thirty something students in Class F's corner that compared to how many they are in ratio, their class has the most students participating.

"Yow, Laurent!" A boy with green eyes and brown hair suddenly called out Caleb. His hair is combed back with one lock sticking out. He also was wearing an exercise outfit as he jogged towards their direction.

"And here I thought you wouldn't join the activity, Eusine." Caleb stepped forward and fist bumped with the boy named Eusine.

Eusine was a student in Class A, he and Caleb became friends as they found each other's interest similar, in the likes of pokemon battling and etc.

"How could I? My grandfather would literally grill me of his nagging if I won't participate." Eusine complained and stomped his feet hard on the training grounds. As if that wasn't enough he kept stomping and stomping until he attracted attention.

"Eusine, keep it down. You're disturbing the others." Caleb said.

Eusine looked around and then just realized. He scratched the back of his head as he calmed down.

"Anyways, where is your Drowzee, Eusine?" Caleb asked curiously as he couldn't see Eusine's pokemon.

"That lazy thing woke me up in my dream so early in the morning but he himself couldn't even get up from the bed." Eusine complained once again in vexation. He pointed towards a playground near the training ground. "He's right there laying down. Continuing on his sleep."

Drowzee was sprawled on the huge slide as he sunbathe on the morning sun.

"Damn. Luckily my Magby isn't that lazy."

"Likewise."

"Sucks to be you bro."

"Drowzee isn't lazy it's just part of their species of having it as a hobby." Diantha shook herself when she saw how Caleb and their classmates underestimate the Drowzee.

They were chatting when they were interupted by the instructor's firm voice.

"Alright, time's up! Hey you, stop sitting down and stand straight. Let's start the training and get it over with." The instructor looked at his wrist watch and loudly announced the start of their training. He looked towards Eusine and the other people who had their pokemon lazying around. "Brats call your pokemons beside you."

The others scrambled as Eusine hurriedly got his Drowzee to get up after much difficulty.

After everyone was with their pokemon and we're paying attention. The instructed began the training.

Ross, the name of the instructor stood infront of the students as he eyes them like a hawk.

Making them flinch from the intense gaze.

"First drill would be compromise of a warm up. With your pokemon sprint around the field for twenty-laps, do a hundred push ups, but for physics they would lift those rocks over there with their telekinesis. Then lastly, do some jumping jacks until I tell you to stop. I'll instuct you further when you're done." Instructor Ross smiled dangerously as he said the drill.

"What!?"

"He's joking right?"

"Of course he is idiot! How could we go around that massive field for twenty-laps?"

"I doubt I could even finish five..."

A lot of the kids from various classes whined as they stared at the instructor with shock eyes at the hard to swallow drill he just told them.

"What are you waiting for? Go start your sprinting, we don't have all day. Don't waste my time you little shits." Instructor Ross roared at them, scaring the shits out of everyone. "Look, learn from those two they are already going at it."

They glanced towards the field to see two figures stretching their bodies before exploding in a fierce sprint.

Eunise and the others recognized the two as Caleb and Diantha with their fire and psychic type pokemons.

"Go NOWWW!!!!"

That final yell caused the others to follow as they hustled towards the field.

"Hey you! I told you to sprint not jogg, do you want me to go there and teach you, you fuck!?"

"After seeing you ladies walk made me doubt if you are even boys, if I see you even jogg or rest a single second that won't count as a lap!"

"Faster! Faster! Faster! What do you even do all day to have saggy fats and no muscle!"

Instructor Ross's temple has a vein that bulged outwards every single time he shouted. Spit and harsh words were thrown everywhere on the training ground.

The teachers that were on duty were also laughing and eyeing their activity.

"Hahahahaha, it seems like Ross still hasn't turned rusty."

"I agree. But, isn't it too harsh for him to curse at my student?"

"Hey hey, you know his character, he don't favor and biased anyone. He would even curse at the principal."

"That's true hahahahahahaha."

...

- Principal's Office -

A man stood on a window as he watched the first years do their first pokemon training. He laughed in amusement.

"You really enjoyed watching them suffer that much?" A waman was sitting on a chair not far away as she shook her head when she saw how the principal acted. Surprisingly, it was Teacher Veronica.

"Although I hate that Ross to my very bones, I still approved of his training. This are too pampered, and if it continued as such they wouldn't progress much in the future as a pokemon trainer." The principal commented as he continued watching.

"That's true." Teacher Veronica also knew this fact. Venturing and journeying is very dangerous, one needed such training as early as possible to prepare for it.

The room was then silent as the noises from the training ground continued on.
