The Jordan Tournament (Part 2)
Scyther stared at the Water Photons before dodging them because the two of them were far apart.
"I wonder who will win this battle," I said while petting Zorua. Scyther used Gust on the ground to whir up a Smokescreen which covered the arena then it started performing its Power-up moves.
"Aren't you going to fight me head-on?" Wartortle asked, "Or are you scared of losing to me?"
"I am not scared," Scyther said, calmly. Wartortle tracked his voice and then fired an Ice beam in his direction, The Ice beam evaded Scyther narrowly.
"Come out of ths dust and fight me like a real man!" Wartortle bellowed.
Wartortle is such an idiot, He's letting Scyther use Power-up moves. Doesn't he know what happens when Scyther finishes using the power-up moves?
Scyther completed its power-up moves when the smoke finally cleared.
"All right, Here I go!" Wartortle shouted and fired an Ice beam in his direction, Scyther side-stepped and dodged it easily.
"This match is already concluded," Scyther said while his wings expanded and he rushed toward Wartortle with a smirk. Wartortle noticed that he was more powerful and began preparing his next attack. Scyther brought up its right scythe and slashed Wartortle, Wartortle immediately began bleeding but he suddenly faded.
"Substitute," I muttered and Wartortle appeared behind Scyther with a malicious grin, Charmander was shocked to see such a strong Pokémon. Wartortle used Ice beam to freeze Scyther's wings forcing the Pokémon to become grounded.
"A nice attack but you don't know half of what you're about to get," Scyther said with a smile. It split into 5 illusionary copies before Wartortle could fire its next attack. Wartortle hit an illusionary copy and missed. Scyther smirked and used X-Scissor causing Wartortle to soar through the air and hit the cave wall. It fainted.
I sighed before returning the Pokémon into its Pokéball.
"There was an amazing series of battles so far," I said, "It's time to get to the next battle, RAICHU VS HAUNTER!!"
The two Pokémon came to the field with smirks as they received an ovation from the different Pokémon in the field.
"Begin!" I shouted and they nodded. Raichu fired a thunderbolt which Haunter countered with a Shadow ball. The two attacks hit each other and caused the cave to vibrate. Raichu pierced through the air with Volt tackle while Haunter charged up power for Hypnosis. Raichu had seen this coming and decided to slow down.
"What's wrong? Are you scared?" Haunter asked but was surprised when Raichu stopped completely and began converting its energy into a large thunderbolt. Haunter appeared in front of Raichu and used Hypnopunch.
Raichu fell asleep. Haunter smiled eerily and used Dream Eater as well as Nightmare but it didn't seem to affect Raichu. My eyes widened, Raichu was pretending to sleep. Raichu opened its mouth and released a Fire Blast at Haunter who was unable to block it and took a lot of damage. Haunter frowned and used all of its energy to launch a final shadow ball at Raichu but Raichu circled around the cave while using Volt tackle, It slammed Haunter on the face and sent Haunter flying.
"Even though Haunter had the level advantage, It still lost," I muttered as I returned Haunter to its Pokéball.
"That was a short battle but Raichu proved itself to be the superior one, Let's move on to the next battle, SQUIRTLE VS GRAVELER!" I shouted and the two Pokémon made their way into the field.
Graveler won the battle with one attack and Nidorina won her battle as well, They were battling against poorly trained Pokémon so that was expected.
"After those thrilling battles, Its time to see the next Pokémon which are battling:
Charmander vs Scyther------->
Graveler vs Nidorina-------> Finals: Raichu vs ???------->
Alright, The first battle to decide who will make it to the semi-finals," I said while summoning Charmander and Scyther into the arena. The two Pokémon looked at each other, Scyther knew not to underestimate its opponent.
"Begin!" I shouted and that was the signal for both Pokémon to begin their attacks.
Charmander spewed a Flamethrower and Scyther dodged it swiftly while using Bug Buzz on Charmander who steadily lost HP. Charmander didn't care and jumped at Scyther and used Flame burst. Scyther merely scoffed before slicing the Flame burst into two. Charmander widened its eyes and Scyther used gust to send the Pokémon flying backwards.
Charmander hit the wall and lost 60% of its HP in one go, It stood up drowsily while summoning all of its speed to use Metal claw on Scyther but Scyther saw through its attack and used steel wing to finish it. Charmander fainted.
I returned Charmander into its Pokéball and summoned the next Pokémon for their match, Graveler and Nidorina.
Nidorina started with a run towards Graveler but Graveler submerged into the ground with Cement rush and came out behind Nidorina, Graveler then used Rock Blast but Nidorina dodged it with a Quick Attack and then fired a Poison sting at Graveler. Graveler tanked the attack and got poisoned before using Sandstorm.
I laughed silently as Graveler converted all of the sand into a tomb which Nidorina was trapped in, The sand tomb was tightened and then it exploded, leaving a fainted Nidorina.
"The last two battles have been exhilirating," I said while using an Antidote to heal Graveler, "We are going to head to the Semi-finals,"
After some minutes, Graveler and Scyther were summoned into the field.
"Fight!" I shouted.
Graveler knew that Ground type attacks had no effect on Raichu so it used Rock blast on Scyther which hit it. Scyther was sent flying backwards but regained its composure and slammed its Scythes into the ground. It began to use Swords Dance to boost its Speed and Attack.
Graveler saw this and used Cement rush, Scyther had used Swords Dance two times and was preparing to use it for a third time but it was slammed in the stomach by Graveler who started using Thrash. Scyther took a deep breath before using Bug Buzz on Graveler while avoiding it.
Who will win this battle? Guess it and you will win a Bonus Chapter. Remember, First Chapter comment decides it!
