The Final Round

Red flicked a Pokeball into the arena, The battle with Gloom had taught him something. The element of surprise was the greatest weapon in the battle. The beginning of Scyther's battle against Gloom was where Gloom had caught Scyther offguard and subsequently gotten to evade the attacks but Red wouldn't let it repeat here.

The Pokeball burst open and revealed the Pokemon within, Charmeleon appeared on the battlefield ready to engage in battle with her adversaries. 

The twins let out their Pokemon, releasing a Magnetric and an Electrode onto the battlefield. 

The electrical energy surrounding both Pokemon sent chills down the spines of everyone present as the battle began.

Scyther was at a disadvantage and of course would be the first target but Red wanted to turn that weakness to an advantage.

"Electrode, Thunderbolt on Scyther!" Don ordered.

Electricity surrounded around Scyther as a brilliant thunderbolt shot through the air, but Red was ready.

"Scyther, Block and redirect with Steel Wing!" Red ordered with a smirk.

Scyther flashed in a metallic light as steel energy was concentrated deep within it's scythes, The thunderbolt collided with Scyther's left scythe and sent a shockwave through the air but it was short-lived as the attack was immediately redirected to the ground sending a boom echoing through the battlefield.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!" Red ordered.

Charmeleon gathered the flames in his mouth, a powerful flamethrower bursting forward within a split second threatening to engulf Magnetric in the torrent of it's flames but it was negated by a Thunderbolt launched by Electrode, An explosion happened mid-air and shockwaves permeated the air.

Scyther did not let this chance go to waste, It's sleek figure navigating through the smoke and blades made of flying energy descending from the air moments later. 

Magnetric took the full brunt of Scyther's attacks and growled menancingly.

"Discharge!" Jon ordered.

The menancing growl turned into a full fledged howl as bright sparks of electricity surrounded it.

"Magnetric!!!"

A powerful charge of golden electricity shot in all directions, engulfing a good chunk of the arena in the destructive power of Discharge…

Scyther had not come out unscathed, It was struck by the attack and it's wings were still buzzing with electricity, The clear aftermath of such a powerful attack.

Magnetric took the time to roar in victory and that was it's mistake as a red blur made it's way to the Dog Pokemon, claws shining in metallic light.

"Metal Claw!" Red ordered and the order was instantly executed. Charmeleon slashed Magnetric with a powerful cross strike from his claws, sending the Pokemon flying.

"Electrode, Magnet Rise Eruption!" Don ordered, eager to turn the tides.

The order confused Red but he wasn't going to let Electrode execute such an attack.

"Scyther, Air Slash!"

"Charmeleon, Ember!"

Moments later, A spiraling ball of burning flames and blades of flying energy collided with Electrode generating a slight explosion that rumbled through the arena.

"Magnetric, Cover Electrode with Shockwaves!" Jon ordered.

Magnetric glimmered with electricity as powerful thunderbolts shot out of it's body, heading to the targeted Pokemon in an attempt to hinder their movements long enough for Electrode to recover and launch it's ultimate attack, to turn the tides of the battle in their favor.

"Scyther, Redirection!" 

"Charmeleon, Counter with Flamethrower!"

The two Pokemon nodded, determined to face the attacks with their own and win the collision. 

Red frowned, Even using Redirection drained a lot out of Scyther… Maybe he should use Aura?

'No!' He thought, sternly reminding himself of the fact that if he overly relied on aura, His Pokemon would be weak…

The familiar metallic glow covered Scyther's scythes as it shot to the Shockwave, determination burning through it's eyes. Extending both Scythes forward, Scyther took in the Shockwave attack and a burning pain was felt... Shockwave was far much powerful than Thunderbolt…

"Come on, I believe!" Red exclaimed and the determination burned brighter than ever, Power shimmered in it's metallic scythes as the Shockwave was redirected to the ground, sending a shocking boom across the ground.

Charmeleon gathered a huge amount of flames in his mouth, the air in the arena seemingly becoming hotter as a brilliant sea of flames shot into the Shockwave, both elemental attacks colliding.

Sparks of electricity and embers of flames surrounded the heart of the Collision, The Shockwave threatened to overwhelm the Flamethrower and then Charmeleon's eyes flashed, murderous rage filling them as the Flamethrower grew hotter, smoke erupted from his snout.

The Flamethrower overwhelmed the Shockwave in a split second and destroyed the attack, Charmeleon fell to his knees recovering from firing such a powerful attack. 

And this was enough time for Electrode to completely charge up, the arena became a symphony of elements as pieces of metal rose into the air, golden bolts of lightning surrounded the entire arena and emotion flashed across the Twins faces as their most powerful Move was used.

Magnet Rise Eruption was a technique that spread Electrical energy through the ground of the arena, empowering the attack strength of Electric type moves as well as slowing the opponents down.

"Magnetric, Volt Tackle!"

"Electrode, Cover Magnetric with Thunderbolts!"

Magnetric shot forward, golden lightning covering it's fur as it shot forward engulfed in a ball of bright lightning and swirls of thunderbolts surrounded Magnetric as it headed to the most dangerous Pokemon on the battlefield, Charmeleon.

But it failed, Everyone had failed to notice Scyther who was fueling with adrenaline shooting to Magnetric, steel energy covering it's Scythes as a powerful Steel Wing attack smashed against Magnetric.

Magnetric braved through the attack and the swirling thunderbolts converged on Scyther, sending ripples across the air as Scyther landed on the ground, drained of it's energy.

Charmeleon was not one to be outdone. A brilliant flower of flames surrounding him as he leapt off the ground to Magnetric. Both attacks colliding against each other and power rippling through the air.

Red nearly gasped in shock as he saw Scyther stand back up and send multiple dozens of Air Slashes toward Electrode, each attack colliding with the ball of destruction and Electrode fainted.

Scyther fell over moments later, fainting due to fatigue.

Red, Jon and Don's eyes were fixed upon the collision between Charmeleon and Magnetric… The battle was going to end momentarily.
