Riolu's Prowess

Richard unclipped a Pokeball from his belt and narrowed his eyes at Red, before sending out his next Pokemon.

"Beedrill, Show them your power!" Richard ordered and Beedrill buzzed in agreement.

Red cracked his knuckles and looked at Beedrill.

"Gastly, Don't let up for even a second!" Red exclaimed, "His Pokemon have some hefty endurance on them, So attack relentlessly!"

Gastly turned back and nodded before turning back to Beedrill, ghostly fumes escaping it's spherical figure.

"Begin!" The trainer let out, and Red pointed to Beedrill, giving the starting command.

"Let's start it out with Shadow Sneak!" Red ordered.

Gastly entered the ground, blending in with the shadows and waiting for a chance to strike.

Richard pumped his fist up and then gritted his teeth.

"Alright, Beedrill! Focus Energy!" Richard ordered.

Beedril closed it's eyes and a white aura wrapped around it, filling it's entire body with invigorating energy, It was gathering energy to strike with a Critical hit but Red wasn't going to give it that opportunity.

"Emerge from the shadows with a Shadow Punch!" Red ordered and Gastly emerged from the shadows, a fist of ghostly energy materializing and smashing into Beedrill's face sending it flying to the ground.

"Stabilize yourself and strike with Pin Missile!" Richard ordered.

Beedrill's wings burst to life as the Bug Pokemon stabilized itself and launched several needles of Bug energy at Gastly.

"Counter with Night shade!" Red ordered with a smile, Gastly had an edge in this battle and he wasn't going to waste it.

Ghostly beams of energy shot out of Gastly's eyes, colliding with the pins of bug energy and breaking them apart before heading to Beedrill.

Richard sweatdropped as he pumped his fist into the air.

"Quick, Dodge it!" Richard ordered.

Beedrill trailed into the air, moving as fast as it could but Night shade followed it before imminently colliding with it and dealing more damage to Beedrill.

Beedrill fell from the sky and Richard raised it's Pokeball, a red beam of energy coating the Pokemon before sending it into the open Pokeball.

'Of course, I forgot switch-outs were allowed,' Red thought.

"Here we go, Earn me a win!" Richard ordered as he threw another Pokeball into the field, revealing a Geodude.

Red raised his Pokedex and stared at the screen with blank eyes.

'LV. 20! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?'

"Gastly, Meld into the shadows with Shadow Sneak!" Red ordered.

Gastly sunk into the shadows but Richard smiled.

"Magnitude!" Richard's voice was filled with excitement as he had devised a perfect counter against Gastly's Shadow sneak.

Geodude beat it's fists into the ground, sending rumbling sounds all across the field and they intensified...

Red sweatdropped as he suddenly remembered what Magnitude was about... Magnitude, A move that varied from Magnitude 1 – Magnitude 10 and strengthened at random.

The ground trembled and cracked, sending Red into a swirl of thoughts. It rumbled and rumbled and sent shockwaves below the ground itself, covering the field in dust...

'From the power of the attack, That must be Magnitude 6!' Red let out in surprise.

As the dust cleared, Gastly was revealed to lay knocked out on the field, fatigue from the earlier battles catching up with it.

"Return!" Red ordered before the Nurses could get it... It was not like they would be able to touch Gastly.

"Geodude and Richard win the third round!" The trainer announced.

Red narrowed his eyes at Richard and unclipped a Pokeball from his belt, determined to crush Richard's remaining Pokemon in one fell swoop with his Charmeleon... but it would be weak against Geodude.

'I'd rather crush Geodude before sending out Charmeleon,' Red thought, his fingers trailing to Riolu's Pokeball, "Alright, Let's crush the competition!"

Red sent out Riolu, the fighting Pokemon eager to fight.

"RIOLU!!!"

'She's in LV. 16 but it'll be enough!' Red thought.

"Shoot forward with Quick Attack!" Red ordered.

Riolu shot forward, her entire being shining with a white aura closing the distance between her and Geodude in an instant.

"Magnitude!" Richard ordered.

"Jump into the air!" Red ordered.

Geodude smashed it's fist against the ground and sent ripples across the ground but Riolu was in the air, her eyes lighting up in a bright crimson as Red smirked... feeling the connection between him and Riolu!

Red arched his hand back and Riolu did the same, gathering a tremendous amount of aura in her hand ready to propel it forward.

"Here we go, Vacuum Wave!" Red ordered.

The aura shot forward in the form of wind sending Geodude crashing into the ground and kicking up dust, Riolu landed on the ground and smashed her knuckles together.

The dust cleared and Geodude was out cold... in one attack!

"Riolu and Red win the fourth round!" The trainer announced.

The nurses carried the heavy Geodude away on a stretcher, Red was amazed that the nurses could lift a fully grown Geodude since it was very heavy.

'And they're treating it like paper,' Red thought with sweat rolling down his forehead, Everything today was absurd.

Richard looked at Red and looked at his belt, He had three Pokemon left and Red... He had four good Pokemon left.

"Alright, Do your Job, Beedrill!" Richard ordered and threw a Pokeball into the air, sending Beedrill out.

"Now start with Pin Missile!" Richard ordered.

Thin needles laced with bug energy shot toward Riolu but the little Pokemon wouldn't stay still, her legs shining with a crimson aura.

"Burst forward with Quick Attack and then Force Palm!" Red ordered, utilizing the new move that she learned from training.

Riolu shot forward, leaving dust behind her as she passed the pins before they could make contact and was now in front of Beedrill, a golden aura bursting to life around her palm as she gave a powerful palm attack, sending blue energy trailing out of Beedrill's stomach area.

Beedrill collapsed some moments later.

"Riolu and Red win the Fourth Round!" The trainer announced.
