Chapter 25

Yawwwwwwwn. Waking up, Jax looked at the unfamiliar ceiling wondering where he was. Then, remembering the events that transpired throughout the day did he finally realize where he was. Feeling better after taking a nap, Jax stood up so as not to wake up the snoring purple lizard and began to do his physical exercises. Even though he practically spent the day running, most of it was on top of Vioarr's back. He can't ever slack off on any of his training, otherwise he'll lose his edge. God knows how those actual genius like Stephen and Lance spent their days, but he couldn't follow them if he wanted to be the best trainer.

After working out his muscles, Jax sat down on the floor in the lotus position and concentrated his mind. To practice his psychic abilities, Jax always had to prep his mind to be ready. Only with a clear mind could he sense his powers. This was way harder than just enveloping his body with it to check his stats and the stats of other pokemon. Jax noticed that it was far easier to feel his powers compared to the previous day. 'I must have leveled up my psychic abilities!' Thinking so, he spread his powers evenly throughout his body so that he could check them out.

Noticing the improve to both his psychic ability and aura, Jax was beyond thrilled. He had spent the past month practicing both but neither of them was showing signs of growth! 'Only four more levels until I hit level 10 in my psychic abilities! I heard that Sabrina was only at level 9. At this rate, I might even overtake her and become the first ever level 10 Psychic!' Jax was obviously very excited at this prospect. One must remember, Jax was still only 6 years old! Normal children to receive their first pokemon until the age of 10 years old and only then do they start training their psychic or aura ability if they even have them in the first place! Jax was off to an amazing start!

Jax thought about taking a took at Vioarr's stats too while he was still sleeping but decided against it. Not much would have changed in one day. Since Vioarr evolved, that must mean he would be level 30 now. His move mastery was probably still the same. If only Jax thought a bit further, he would have checked Vioarr's stats because the last time he did, Vioarr didn't have his perfect EVs yet!

Once a pokemon reaches perfect EVs in his two main stats, they undergo a qualitative change! All their stats are upgraded by one star! EVs are more than just numbers that help a pokemon grow stronger. No, EVs were there from the beginning since the very first pokemon first stepped foot on Kalpotron. The only reason why no one in this world knows about the perfect ratio for EVs is because it was just that hard to replicate!

A wild pokemon will fight with anything in its path; whether it's for food, shelter, mate, territory or even just because they could. Trainers also didn't know about the potential of EVs because they spent so much time battling other trainers with a wide variety of pokemons. No one sane would constantly go after one species of pokemon like Jax did repeatedly only for marginal gains. The more variety they battled, the more prepared they will be for the unexpected they thought. How wrong they were.

But author! Vioarr already has maxed-out stars for two of his stats: attack and speed! What's the point in increase star levels for other more insignificant stats? Readers, what if I told you, there was a hidden sixth star!? It might only be the difference of one-star increase, but again, this is a qualitative change, not a quantificational change. With Vioarr's attack and speed now at six stars, he will be released from his physical limits! Imagine a crocodile coming at you at the speed of light and then hitting you! All you would feel is yes, pain, but more importantly the power behind that attack would be like being in between two colliding planets!

That's only from the perspective of us mundane Earthlings. In the pokemon world, especially on Kalpotron, the pressure of two planets going head to head would be like the flick of a wrist for some legendaries. If so, how do they still end up being captured by evil organizations? Since the dawn of time, humans have beat their foes not with brute strength but with their cunning intellect and sophisticated plots! Even the god of pokemons can't stop a human hell-bent on trying to capture it.

That's why the Aura Guardians were made, to protect the world from devastation, to unite all people within their nation, to denounce the evils of truth and love! Sounds familiar? That's right! Jessie, James and Meowth were Aura Guardians who infiltrated Team Rocket! After Giovanni disappeared, the Alliance made a team of elites to infiltrate Team Rocket's ranks and those elites are the same three we saw chasing after Ash the whole time! Why else would they fail to catch one Pikachu who constantly lost repeatedly! They were only following Ash to protect him from the shadows because he had the most potential as a trainer and as an Aura Guardian! With all this help, somehow, Ash continued to lose! Now, do you understand our protagonist's frustration to the point he even died over it?
