Pokemon Saga: Journey of a Lifetime Ch56

The pokemon had broad body which was covered in brown fur, except for its muzzle, inner ears, and paw pads, which are a light tan. It has narrow eyes, a triangular, black nose, and a wide mouth with small, visible fangs in the upper jaw. The fur on the shoulders were longer and more structured, with rectangular extensions.

This pokemon was an Ursaring. Ursarings are territorial pokemon but that was not the problem here. This season is the mating season for Ursarings!. Usually Ursarings will be roaming forests looking for pray they only return at night for resting.

If a Ursaring is in a cave before night time it could mean only one thing. There is another Ursaring which has an egg which can hatch any day!.

"Everyone don't attack the Ursaring. Right now it is its mating season if you attack it now it will attack you more viscously!" Ryan informed everyone.

The Ursaring only stared at Ryan intently. It can sense aura from him and there was no malice at all. He also told his friends not to attack it. It saw that the other humans had some amount of malice but not much.

Ryan immediately called Porygon out to transalate between Ursaring and him. He would usually use Aura but he didn't want to use it in front of these trainers.

"Ursaring can you please calm down we mean no harm. We will leave the place, we accidentally stumbled upon here" Ryan said perfectly calm hoping the enraged pokemon will listen to him. The other trainers only saw Ryan gob smacked as they saw him trying to converse with the Ursaring.

"Why should I? For all I know this may be your ploy to take our egg!" The Ursaring roared back.

"I swear on my life, we don't mean any harm" Ryan said. Pokemon were not savage beasts, they understand humans. Its humans that don't understand pokemons. Since Ryan has sworn, the pokemon will trust him now even if is just a little bit. After all swearing on his/her life is a serious business for an Aura Guardian.

The other 5 trainers only saw slack jawed as they saw Ursaring going back into its cave. They could only wonder whether he could communicate with pokemon.

"Ryan can you talk with pokemons?" asked Wendell.

"No, its all thanks to a translator" Ryan said.

"If you don't want to share your secret just tell no" Alex said.

"No, I really have a translator. It is a Proygon" said Ryan.

"A porygon?" Lisa asked.

"Its a pokemon made entirely made out of codes. It can be told as a artificial pokemon. They rarely appear from devices which have complex codes and functions like Pokedex and X- transceivers" said Marco.

"I see. . . Any way I believe we should catch the Ursaring in the cave" Wendell said as he eyed the Porygon curiously.

"Are you serious" Lisa shouted.

"Wendell you know how dangerous that pokemon was" said Marco

"What it must be Lv 50 or something right we have a total of 15 elite pokemon we can take it down!" Wendell said.

"No it is not Lv 50 like you said. you can visibly see its power through its roar and aura alone. It is borderline Champion level." said Ryan shocking others.

Wendell was wide eyed hearing that. "But we still have 15 elite pokmon right?" he said.

"Its true we have 15 Elite pokemon but there is another Ursaring inside at the same level or so" Ryan said seriouly.

"What!!?" they all shouted.

"How do you know that?" Alex asked as if accusing Ryan for lying.

"Alex don't embarrass yourself. He already explained telling that it was the breeding season for Ursaring. The pokemon most probably has a egg which it is taking care of" Alicia said as Alex turned bright red since he didn't pay attention to Ryan telling about the Ursaring.

"Any way lets get out of the Ursaring's territory before it gets angry again" said Marco

"Its Okay lets find a suitable place to rest. We can sleep soundly tonight" said Ryan.

Everyone looked puzzled at him. How on earth could they sleep fine when they are in a forest which is known as 'Grove of Death'?.

Seeing their confused faces Ryan explained "Since this is the territory of near Champion level Ursaring, no pokemon will be coming here. It will be a death wish for them since pokemons are sensitive to territorial matters. Since we already have solved the issue with the Ursaring we can rest easily tonight."

Just like Ryan said there were no pokemon attacks or even traces of them. The group started to put up a tent and prepared food to eat.

"What is that?" Ryan asked seeing Marco take a peculiar bag.

"You startled me" Marco said.

"It is a herb to keep him healthy." answered Lisa.

Ryan rose his eyebrows.

Marco sighed and explained "From a young age I kept getting ill. The reason for this was that my immune system was very weak. The doctors prescribed some medicines but it didn't work properly. Not knowing what to do, my family resorted to Traditional medicines. They are working well till now."

"I see. . . sorry for asking" said Ryan.

"Hey the food is ready!" Wendell said as he came towards them.

"Coming" said Lisa.

"Oh! you found about Marco huh" he said as Ryan nodded.

"This herb is known as Archon which stimulates immune system boosting it" he said proud at the fact that he knows about Herbs.

"Wow we didn't know you knew about herbs" said Marco as he took a bowl of stew.

"Well I need to know about herbs if one of my members are taking them as medicine right" Wendell said as he took a bowl from Alicia.

Ryan took a bowl of stew and started to eat. Soon the trainers started to get tired. The fatigue due to yesterday's battle and lack of sleep was showing today.

"Rest and get rid of your fatigue today. If we leave this territory we would have to fight pokemon again just like yesterday night" said Wendell who eyed Marco and Lisa. This got unnoticed by everyone except Ryan.

Ryan thought he was concerned for him after all he has not been looking good ever since dinner. He has been feeling very tired. Hopefully nothing awful happens Ryan thought as he wen to sleep.
