pewter city pt2

Jeffery and the gym leader were having an intense battle but it ultimately ended up in Jeffery losing.

"not again! charmander you ok?" He ran up to his best buddy. He just fainted but still it was worrisome.

The charmander opened its eyes and started to wag its tail.

"I'm glad your ok buddy!" Jeffery hugged the charmander.

"I suppose you're next?" She turned to me

 her voice was dead cold and monotone.

A chill went down my spine as a send in Zorua something tells  me that this battle wasn't going to end well.

Chloe turned towards the noise and her eyes widened to see what looks to be a  tyranitar in the building with two of white robed grunts.

The tyranitar's spikes were wider and thicker than normal and it had  wings???

"That's far from normal..." Chloe said in disbelief 

The tyranitar started blasting the building while the grunts shouted "Everyone get down now!" 

obeying him they all stayed on the floor arms stretched out to show they aren't doing anything suspicious.

"W-What do you want??" The museum worker asked, as terrified  as everyone else in the room.

The grunts did not respond. The tension grew thicker the more the silence grew Chloe thought she was going to die for sure.

"We want the kabutops fossil!" The grunts finally  demanded.

"and all the other fossils in the room!" 

'What are they going to do with fossils?' Chloe thought, looking around the room.

The museum worker pointed to the direction of the fossils  and the grunts went there, the tyranitar still keeping a close eye on us.

'Come on!' Chloe started to think 'how can we get out of a situation like this? I can't just let them take these!'

"Zoura uses a shadow ball!!"  I shouted.

Zoura sent a shadow ball right into the geodude but it was held on by a string.

"Geodude! used self-destruct!!" the geodude started to glow a bright red and immediately  I knew I had to step back a bit.

"Zorua come back!"  Zoura ran in my direction to dodge the attack.

The geodude explodes and we receive minimal  damage from it.

"ok...I guess you're out next onix." the gym leader sent out a snake 

that could've barely fit in the room from how big it was.

yeah this was gonna be a problem ..

"Zoura uses a dark pulse!" Zoura emits multiple dark waves from its mouth aiming it at the fore onix.

But it just shook it off like it was nothing and turned all its attention  to Zorua.

"use rockslide!" the gym leader commanded

Onix started to roar and rocks were summoned from the sky .

"Zorua  try to dodge them!" Zorua tried dodging all the rocks but ended up failing and was seriously injured from one of them.

"Zorua! you ok?" Zoura squeezed itself out from one of the rocks and shook itself off.

'just a little....more!' Chloe thought to herself as she reached for a pokeball one of the grunts had.

The tyranitar was watching the other hostages not even noticing that Chloe went missing.

She grabbed the pokeball from the grunts belt.

'ha! got it!' she celebrated in her head before sneaking off to a random stall.

"Please  be a good pokemon." she prayed before releasing it from the pokeball.

and out came a purple lizard with spikes and a  weird electric thing on its head that looked like a baby pokemon.

"What the hell is this??" 

"I have never seen this in Kanto before.."

Chloe let out a sigh before looking back at the current situation.

The grunts are still stuffing their bags they don't know what happened yet and the tyranitar's starting to look a bit tired.

"I got this.." she whispered to herself, hyping herself up.

"weird lizard thing! use a hydro pump!!" Chloe commanded. The grunts looked at her and the pokemon opened its mouth wide.

And let out a big yawn  going to sleep.

"great..." Chloe facepalmed.

"Tyranitar hyper beam!" The tyranitar blasted a beam of energy in Chloe's way.

She grabbed the weird pokemon and rolled out of the way but before she recovered she saw another pokemon out of nowhere about to crush her where she stood.

"Miltank bodyslam!" the grunts called out  to their pokemon.

Right when Chloe was about to get crushed the pokemon woke up and it and Chloe disappeared  and switched places with one of the counters.

"substitute?...."  Chloe was amazed and also grateful she was still alive.

Zoura was repeatedly dodging attacks from the Onix, not even given a minute to rest.

I clenched my fists. This battle's end is near..I can feel it.

Zoura keeps  dodging the attacks but they just won't stop. I just know she's praying for Zorua to slip up somehow.

"Zoura uses a shadow ball!"  

My Zorua charged a shadow ball sending it at the onix  it looks affected by the shadow ball  in a different way.

"Zorua shadow ball again!" Zoura charged another shadow ball to aim it at Onix.

"Onix use earthquake!" 

it started to shake the ground throwing Zoura off balance the shadow ball hits the ceiling making a huge hole. 

Zoura looks hurt  one more hit and it might be over for us.

"Zorua! copycat!" Zoura started to vibrate shaking the ground  and the onix fell.

Onix was defeated! 

"good battle ig." 

I think that was supposed to be a compliment?

"here you deserve this." She  gave me a badge.

"What's this?" I asked her.

"seriously??" The gym leader was amazed by my stupidity.

"this is what you've been battling for, it's the boulder badge!"

"oh..." I look at the badge as it shined in the light from the hole in the roof created by the shadow ball from earlier.

"Did you seriously not pay attention in pokemon school?" Joey sighed.

"I guess not hahaha."
